Drone Pilot ADS-B shows you the manned aircraft sharing your airspace — in real time, on one map, before they ever become a problem. Connect a pilotADSB receiver over Bluetooth or WiFi and your screen fills with live traffic: altitude, speed, heading and distance for every ADS-B equipped aircraft in range. Not every aircraft transmits ADS-B Out, but the ones that do will never catch you off guard again. BUILT FOR DRONE PILOTS, NOT AIRLINERS Most traffic apps are repurposed from manned aviation software. This one was designed from the ground up around how remote pilots actually fly. The welcome screen now has an "I have a receiver — connect now" button that takes you straight to connecting it. Your included first year unlocks automatically once it's connected. • Fixed: after subscribing on a fresh install, first-time setup could stop before it finished, leaving the app unconfigured. • Fixed: the subscribe screen could reappear on top of the App Store purchase sheet. • Purchases that are pending approval (for example, Ask to Buy) are now recognised while they wait, instead of being treated as no purchase. • Fixed: the app could report "no internet" while it was still checking. It now waits for a clear answer before saying so. • The status bar now shows how you're connected to your receiver, not just which device it found. • New in Receiver settings: "Forget Saved Network" clears the WiFi network your receiver has stored, so you can move it to a different one cleanly. • If your receiver hasn't been able to check in, your included licence now stays valid for 14 days instead of 7. • The aircraft-count and wind readouts, favourites button and compass now sit lower on the map, giving your traffic more room. The aircraft count is now a compact icon and number, with the session timer beside it. ### 2.0.163 — 2026-08-31 Getting connected — and staying connected — is the theme of this release. • Send Log to Support. If something goes wrong, the troubleshooting page can now send us the diagnostic log directly from the app. Asked for it with no signal? It waits and sends itself when you're back online. • "I need help with my connection" now appears on the screens where the connection just failed, instead of only in Settings. • Connecting is more patient and more persistent. If Bluetooth can't find your receiver, the app now looks for it on WiFi as well, and it no longer gives up after twelve seconds. • Fixed: joining your receiver's WiFi could be undone moments after it succeeded. • Fixed: the app could report that your network was blocking the feed when it was working normally. • Fixed: on a fresh install, subscribers could be shown a subscribe screen that would not go away, and first-time setup could stop before it finished. • Fixed: the app could tell you it had no internet while it plainly did. • Fixed: the aircraft-count and wind readouts near the bottom of the map were easy to mis-tap, which could open a web page over your traffic display. • If pilotADSB can't reach your receiver, it now tells you that Local Network permission is a possible cause — and where to check it — rather than only blaming your WiFi. ### 2.0.144 — 2026-08-29 SUBSCRIPTION CHANGES — PLEASE READ The free trial has moved to the App Store, and pricing has changed. - The trial is now one month, managed by Apple. A payment method is required to start it, and you are not charged during the trial. Cancel any time before it ends and you pay nothing. - New pricing is $9.99/month or $99.99/year. If you are already subscribed, your existing price is unchanged. - If you are partway through a free trial in the app, it is honoured to the day. Nothing you already had is taken away. - Buying a pilotADSB receiver still includes a full year of the app, activated automatically the first time you connect. No subscription and no payment method required — that has not changed. EASIER TO SUBSCRIBE Subscribing used to be reachable only from the connection screen, which meant someone whose access had lapsed could sit in Settings with no way to renew. There is now a Subscribe option at the top of Settings whenever there is no active licence. THE PURCHASE SCREENS ARE CLEARER They now state plainly that a pilotADSB receiver — or your own Raspberry Pi running our free firmware — is required to receive live traffic. Map, LAANC, TFR, weather and obstacle features work without one. Nobody should discover that after paying. DELETE MY DATA The confirmation dialog described deletions that did not all happen. It now says exactly what is removed and what is kept. RECEIVER DETAILS Radio serial numbers and satellite counts were arriving from the receiver but not displaying. Fixed. ### 2.0.136 — 2026-08-27 RUNWAY SILENCE ZONES, REBUILT A runway is now three lanes — the approach, the runway itself, and the departure — and each lane carries its own altitude band. You can silence traffic on the approach without silencing a departure climbing away from you, and set the height at which each lane stops applying. - A live picture of the zone sits at the top of both dialogs, so you can see what you are building. - Each end of the runway is set separately, with its own start and end altitude. - Edit is on every zone card. A disabled zone is still drawn, in grey, so you can see what is armed and what is not. - Please note: runway zones are rebuilt from scratch in this version. If you had one saved, set it up again. WEATHER - The banner now has three colour bands, and you choose the distances that set them. - It stays on screen for 15 seconds rather than vanishing. - The map zooms OUT when weather needs showing, so you see the storm rather than the middle of it. - The Weather icon turns gold only when the voice is on, so the icon and the setting agree. AIRPORTS The airport popup shows the FAA identifier alongside the name. RECEIVER - Receiver details — board, radios, GNSS, satellite count and serial numbers — now load when you open the settings window and refresh while it is open, instead of arriving late or not at all. - Dual-band WiFi networks are handled correctly. A network broadcasting on both 2.4 and 5 GHz could previously be treated as unreachable and refused. - WiFi-only rows say so rather than appearing blank. - The receiver's WiFi scan message no longer guesses a cause the app already knows. - Requires receiver firmware 0.24.64 for the full hardware detail. FIXES - The settings window used to leave a status poll running for the rest of the session. It now stops when the window closes. - Demo Mode has always connected to the wrong address; one device happened to hide it. - Playback and demo sessions no longer report a receiver update as available. ### 2.0.106 — 2026-08-26 WIFI SETUP IS CLEARER The receiver's WiFi setup screen offered a list of networks your phone could see. iOS does not allow apps to list nearby WiFi networks, so that list was always empty and only got in the way. It is gone. Use the networks the receiver reports, or type the name in directly.
