Helped me to pass my Advanced exams by helping me understand the areas I needed to study. The mock exams that come with the app are just perfect. I’d recommend this app to anyone thinking of getting their drone pilot’s license in Canada ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not enough info to study *2025-03-30* Advanced exam is terrible. Do you know that there are symbols and flight charts that questions are asked on? You have no vfr charts, no symbols. You are really missing 3/4 of the advanced exam. Have the writers of this app ever taken the advanced exam? You are lacking a lot of important information! **Developer response:** Hi Scooterlama, please turn on "hints" to the questions, located in the Settings tab. That may help you with the information you need! ### 1/5 — Deceptive description *2023-02-18* This app is listed as “Free”, but only 2 out of 8 modules can be accessed without in-app purchase. Third doesn’t count as “free” in my understanding of the term. **Developer response:** Hi John. This has always been a free to download and free to try app. There is no need to purchase if it does not meet your expectations. We believe this to be a much friendlier way of trialing the app without surprises from an outright purchase. The use of In-App-Purchases is quite standard within mobile app products. Please let us know if you need help with any other clarification. I paid and cannot access all modules. **Developer response:** Hi R. Bruce Specht, I hope you worked out why your default email was not working. We typically respond within 24 hrs to any questions or inquiry. You can always reach out via the "Contact Us" button in the Settings tab. If re-downloading the app, you can "Restore Purchases" to bring back any previous purchases. ### 2/5 — its ok *2023-08-02* its ok but theres only two modules for free so you dont learn everything ### 3/5 — Update your test questions *2025-07-07* Test questions not helpful anymore. Basic exam now has 50 questions and 60 minutes time with passing rate of 80. And questions are much different. **Developer response:** Hello. Those are the metrics for the Advanced Exam. The basic exam requirements remain unchanged. Please research and check the Transport Canada website. ### 3/5 — One device only *2021-07-09* Good resource. Easy enough to follow. Be aware that whatever device you put this app on that’s the only device it will work on (versus a sign in form of authentication). Too bad I didn’t read the fine print a little more closely…I probably would have seen this as a deal breaker **Developer response:** Hi Fadir! It's actually multiple device support! On your other Apple device, you can choose the "Restore Purchase" option. This will immediately allow users to use the full content through the same Apple ID. Highly recommend! ### 4/5 — Good app, but the advanced exam questions are quite different *2023-07-10* This app is very helpful, but it will give you a false sense of confidence going into the advanced exam. The RPAS Pilot Ground School app is a more thorough app available, but it costs more and it doesn’t quite motivate you as much because it covers so much of the technical detail in the CARs. **Developer response:** Hi Roger, the entirety of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) content is included in the app and tested upon with the in-app mock exams. No resource material is allowed to copy actual exam questions, verbatim. Not everyone will pass first time. It is indeed a tough exam and you cannot expect to pass without putting the work in and also studying the CARs directly. ### 4/5 — Confused! *2022-02-23* When saying altitude this course would have you say that 5400 above sea level should be read Five Four Zero Zero The study guide for the Restricted Operator Certificate (ROC-A) says that Altitude above sea level should be expressed in thousands plus hundreds of feet. In this case Five Thousand Four Hundred Which is correct? It would appear that 5400 above ground level would be read Five Four Zero Zero **Developer response:** Hi MooseMan1939, a recent update addressed this type of question by adding more description for context. The latter is correct when dealing with altitude above sea level. You can also write to us by email from the Settings page for any future questions.
