We do not currently have plans to support the Insta X4 Air because it does not meet the hardware requirements necessary to support our Walk capture mode effectively. For the best experience and highest quality captures, we strongly recommend using the Insta X5 or the standard Insta X4. We are happy to help! ### 2/5 — Extremely hard to login into *2025-12-22* Hardnesses thing I have ever had to login into. Lots of errors. Will reset my password and even then it is a 50/50 shot. Always a massive pain to get back into the app to use the program. I use this for work and hate using it. Can’t recommend. I have to redownload the app as well to get it work. We want to get this resolved so you can use the App reliably. ### 2/5 — CRASHES *2025-10-06, version 2.200.1* App constantly crashes and won’t load selected items. ### 4/5 — Good *2025-08-21* My only complaint is with the integration with the 360 camera for walks. Sometimes during a job site walk through , the app disconnects from the camera, and a few times afterward it will state something like universal link is not recognized. **Developer response:** We appreciate the four stars and the detailed note about the 360 camera disconnects! We realize how much that disrupts a job site walkthrough, and we sincerely apologize for that. We have implemented several important connection fixes since version 2.189.1. We strongly encourage you to update to version 2.220.1 now. The issue with the 'universal link' should be completely resolved, and we've also recently improved disconnection issues. Should they persist after the update, please reach out to support@dronedeploy.com so we can provide dedicated support to restore your smooth workflow. ### 2/5 — Does not upload *2025-07-30, version 2.185.1* It will tell me it’s uploading but never does. And when it finally uploads, all the footage is sped up and unusable, And it only works on apple devices, I’m an android person ,my walkthrough capture works better using an android and the 360 software than using this app. I really hope you get this fixed so I can use it again.the flight app is so seamless, I want this one to be the same. ### 1/5 — StructionSite was better *2025-06-11* Your sales team like to sell the idea of being able to do work without internet. While true in very limited circumstances, it’s mostly a lie. The “drawings” need more than two supported file formats. They need to be able to be added in the app, THEN (key word here) pins added to the drawing, all without internet until internet access is restored and upload can begin. You have to upload the drawing in advance before heading to site. Thanks again for the support and for being a valued user! ### 1/5 — Switching to Openspace *2025-06-06, version 2.177.2* Transition from Structionsite to Drone Deploy happened in the middle of a very difficult renovation project. It was dery disruptive and our team lost a lot of data. The new interface is glitchy and does not work well. Not to mention the new name is terrible. We will be stitching to Openspace. ### 1/5 — Needs improvement *2025-05-31* Absolutely miserable to use. Crashes constantly and will not let you upload photos. My least favorite day of the week is when I have to use this app at work. ### 1/5 — Does not allow you to sync *2025-05-28, version 2.176.1* Will take 360 photos and then it will not allow me to sync. It gives an error message saying there’s no space on the device and then force closes. ### 1/5 — Structionsite’s Ugly Step Sister *2025-05-13, version 2.172.4* This app is absolutely garbage compared to what StructionSite was. Never works, fails constantly, can’t login half the time. This review looks like it's about email communications from DroneDeploy rather than the Ground app itself, if you're getting unwanted marketing emails, you can unsubscribe via the link at the bottom of those emails, or contact support@dronedeploy.com, and we'll get it sorted. If you're running into issues within the app, we'd love to hear about those. ### 1/5 — ABSOLUTELY AWFUL *2026-06-11* Freezes, lags, slow! **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. Freezing, lag, and slowness are real problems and we want to fix them. If you have a minute, reach out to support@dronedeploy.com with your device model and what you were doing when it froze. That helps us track down the specific cause. ### 1/5 — Buggy *2026-03-13, version 2.239.0* I constantly have to fight it to let me log in. Processing walks takes forever and is unreliable. If it fails to process a walk then you’re basically out of luck. ### 1/5 — POS *2026-03-03, version 2.239.0* Choose a different app. Very buggy and not reliable. ### 1/5 — App Doesn’t Work *2025-10-21, version 2.208.0* This app doesn’t work on the new iPhone. It won’t even open. ### 1/5 — Buggy and Poor Photo Selection Availability *2025-10-11* Very difficult if not impossible to use at times. Trying to pull in wall photos and I’ve tried to click the icon in the room 63 times. It won’t select the correct icon and I can zoom in anymore. The icons aren’t too close together, it’s selection something approx an inch up and left from where I’m actually clicking. This has been a functionality issue for at least six months. Website works perfectly fine. Don’t count on being able to do anything quickly on the app. **Developer response:** We're sorry for the frustration with photo selection and icon accuracy in the app, especially after months of difficulty. Clearly little to no attention applied to implementing, improving, or operating for the app or web interface since taking this application over from StructionSite. ### 1/5 — Worst App ever !! *2025-08-30, version 2.190.1* Giving this app even one star is pushing it ### 1/5 — Does not stay connected to camera *2025-06-16* I’m not sure if it’s the app, the camera, or me but I cannot get any of my walks anymore to stay active. I will start the recording for the walk then I have to leave the app and iPad turned on otherwise it will not let me sync. Then I will walk the entire job and click the button to end the walk and the camera has disconnected from the app automatically and I can’t easily recover my walk on my own. This has happened to me many times. Furthermore, I can’t sync the walks unless my iPad is connected to WiFi (it has a sim card). I don’t know where all of the confusion stems from but it makes this part of my job all the harder frequently. **Developer response:** We are so sorry you experienced such severe camera connection and sync issues back in June! We know this makes capturing your jobs incredibly difficult. We have released robust stability and connection fixes since version 2.177.3. Please update your Ground App to the newest version, 2.220.1. This should resolve the automatic camera disconnection and help the app stay active during your walks. Regarding sync, captured Walks often contain very large files, which is why we recommend a Wi-Fi connection for a stable and successful upload. By default, "upload on wifi only" is enabled. This can be disabled in the settings to allow uploads on mobile data. I went out and did about 70 panos within a few minutes on a few levels and the upload worked without issues. We’d love to hear them! ### 5/5 — Senior Superintendent *2026-03-24* Pre- drywall sign off by all trades,Architectural and MEP’s engineering design teams as well as the owner representatives can sometimes be seen as difficult or challenging getting every single team player on site to sign off the work in place. Drone deploy captures can be emailed to the team and reviewed on OAC meetings to smoothly identify issues and provide feedback prior to closing the walls. Happy capturing! ### 5/5 — No problems *2025-07-24* I don’t know why there are so many bad reviews for this app. I’ve been using it to capture photos of our construction site for a couple months now and have had no problems whatsoever. I have one bar of service where I’m capturing these images and it works completely fine, never losing connectivity. The uploading process is very easy to use too, taking about 5 minutes to upload 200 pictures.
