Sometimes it says it’s playing but there are other times when no sound at all comes out and I don’t know why. Another reviewer reported this y months ago. Uninstall and reinstall made no difference. iPad, everything else works fine, just this app doesn’t. The free version only worked once and the full version never worked at all. There was no sound. Deleting and re-downloading didn’t help. Great concept, poor result. **Developer response:** Tone playback requires the "silent" switch to be "off". Sorry to hear you are having trouble with getting sound from the app. Please let us know if you still cannot hear sounds after turning the "silent" switch to "off" ### 2/5 — Pitch control not useful. *2025-08-06* Having pitch control of 440, 441 and 442 is fine but should be stated before dropping money on an app. I play historical instruments so 415, 392 and other pitches are needed. ### 2/5 — Fiddly to use but sounds good *2024-01-19, version 2.2.0* It’s a shame that it doesn’t work the phone is in silent mode. The free version does, so it’s annoying that it’s more of a faff to use now I’ve paid for it. Even more annoying that opening the control center to turn off silent mode takes an extra swipe for some reason (maybe because it’s full screen). It would be great if the sound continued when the app was minimized. Helps me hear my intonation better. Sometimes practicing alone I feel “lost in the wilderness” up in the high registers; there is nothing to compare to. If I’m sharp on one note, and then equally sharp on the successive notes, it still “sounds like a scale” but is wrong. We had an issue with the previous version of the app where it would not produce sound when the silent switch set to "on". We have just released a new version which resolves that issue.
