## What is Drop?

Drop is a social app for creatives and the people who follow them — musicians, photographers, filmmakers, designers, illustrators, and anyone who makes things.

A FEED THAT ENDS
Your feed shows only the people you follow, newest first. No algorithm decides what you see or in what order. When you've seen everything, Drop tells you: you're all caught up. Nothing new appears until someone you follow posts again.

SHARE WHAT YOU MAKE
Post a drop: photos, a video, or several at once, with a caption. Tag the people in it. Choose who sees each one — everyone, or just your followers.

YOUR PROFILE IS YOUR BOARD
What you post and what you save live together on your profile.

FIND PEOPLE ON PURPOSE
Explore is its own tab. Go there when you want to find new people and new work; it never leaks into your feed.

TALK TO PEOPLE
Comments with replies, direct and group messages, and stories that disappear after a day.

YOU'RE IN CONTROL
Public or private account, notifications you choose, and report and block when you need them.

Drop is invite-only while the community grows. Every member gets invite codes to share, and you can look around Explore without one.

Make something. Drop it.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 2.0 — 2026-10-22

Drop 2.0 is a brand-new app, rebuilt from the ground up for iPhone: faster, smoother, and nicer to use.

You'll need to sign in once after updating. Your drops, saves, follows and messages are all still there.

New in 2.0:
• Choose who sees each drop: everyone, or just your followers
• Edit your captions after posting
• Explore, with search for people, tags and drops
• Links to drops and profiles open straight in the app

### 1.1 — 2026-09-24

New in Drop 1.1

- Photos and videos, together. Pick both from one library view and post them as a single drop. Swipe through them like any other carousel.
- Frame your videos. Drag and pinch a video into place on Arrange, the same way you already can with photos.
- Unread messages on your home screen. The Drop icon now shows how many chats are waiting on you. It clears as you read them.
- Style your story text. New fonts, colours, outline and highlight styles, and alignment.
- Brighter selfie flash. The front camera flash now lights your face properly in the dark.
- Swipe down to hide the keyboard.
- Smaller fixes and polish throughout.
