Aufgrund von zwei „Verbesserungen“ der letzten Zeit ist es inzwischen kaum mehr möglich, auf dem iPad Ordner mit Fotos vernünftig zu durchsuchen. Zum einen lässt sich die Preview Pane nicht mehr ausblenden, so dass ein großer Teil der Bildschirmfläche fürs reine Browsen verloren ist. Zum anderen werden Fotos in den Thumbnails mittlerweile nicht mehr vollständig angezeigt sondern gnadenlos aufs Querformat zurechtgeschnitten. In Ordnern mit Hochformatfotos ist es damit so gut wie unmöglich, die gesuchten Inhalte aufzufinden. Zuvor konnte man wählen, ob man die Thumbnails vollständig oder abgeschnitten haben wollte, womit jeder glücklich werden konnte. Ich kann nicht verstehen, warum man solche simplen, aber essentiellen Features ohne Not entfernt und damit einem Teil der Kundschaft das Leben unnötig schwer macht. Jetzt ist die einzige verbleibende Möglichkeit, die Dropbox stattdessen über die native Dateien-App zu nutzen – aber dann kann ich eigentlich auch gleich auf andere, erheblich günstigere Anbieter wechseln… ### 2/5 — Refresh button still missing *2026-08-11, version 486.2* This app was majorly downgraded when the refresh button for syncing offline files was removed a couple revisions back. ### 2/5 — What happened to the right side? *2026-08-11, version 486.2* What happened to the right side of the interface? Thanks ### 1/5 — Dropbox Pushes Link Recipients to Install the App *2026-08-06, version 484.2* I’m very unhappy with the way Dropbox handles shared audio links for recipients who don’t have the Dropbox app installed. I send approximately 40 audio links to clients each month, and many of them complain that they don't know how to preview or download the file. On mobile, the “Open in browser” option is shown in very small text, while the much larger “Open in app” button makes recipients believe they must install the Dropbox app before they can access the file. I find this design misleading and unfair to users. I regularly have to explain to clients how to open the link without installing the app, which is frustrating, embarrassing, and makes my service appear less professional.
