This is a really useful fun app. I can imagine it being very busy and popular. Just a few things I would add: 
Maybe have messages from strangers sent to requests? Like Instagram or discord. Overall great app

I love using this, for so many reasons.
1. Discovering events is so easy
2. Hosting and joining live local voice chat is awesome.
