## What is Dropdesk?

Dropdesk pairs your iPhone with the Dropdesk Chrome side panel on your computer.

• Scan a QR or enter a PIN
• Upload photos from your camera or library
• Files appear on your computer to save or drag into websites
• Uploads are encrypted on your device before they leave the phone
• Files expire automatically so they don’t linger

No account required.

Privacy notes: filenames and sizes are stored for your transfer list. An active QR/PIN grants access to that session — keep your screen private while pairing.

Requires the free Dropdesk Chrome extension on your computer.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-13

This update makes it easy to rate Dropdesk if you’re enjoying it. You’ll find Rate Dropdesk in Settings, and we may ask after you’ve paired with your computer.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-07

Dropdesk now works both ways.

• Send files to your phone. Drop a file onto the Dropdesk panel on your computer and it appears here, ready to save straight to Photos or Files.

• Trust this computer. Pair once and stay connected for 30 days — no scanning the code every time you sit down.

• A proper welcome. A quick walkthrough the first time you open the app, plus a guided tour of the main screen so nothing's a mystery.

• Faster connecting. Paste a 6-digit code straight from your clipboard, with clearer feedback when a code doesn't match.

• A fresh look. New app icon, the system font throughout, and a clean black-and-white design.

Plus a batch of smaller fixes and polish.
