Thats the main reason I bought it and until now it hasn’t been reliable enough for that because it shows water usage that doesn’t exist even when shutting the water main. ### 4/5 — Pretty good *2026-06-24, version 3.4.0* I just switch to Droplet after trying out a Kickstarter competitor. The Droplet app is much nicer and generally works well. It connected to Home Assistant very easily! Some areas for improvement: - tagging is now broken in latest app version, please fix - it’d be nice to send alerts to multiple phones as txt messages ### 1/5 — Useless & not working *2026-06-13, version 3.3.0* Worked a few days then threw me out and doesn’t recognize my credentials. Also kind of useless because it’s not really learning anything or maybe it just takes a lot of time to learn. Will probably send it back and ask for my money. ### 3/5 — Pretty Good, but needs revision *2026-06-03, version 3.3.0* I have no real complaints about the device or the app. The only thing I suggest is they allow people to tag previous events. For instance, the device takes a few seconds to notify you that water is being used. However, in that time, the usage can stop and it’s too late to tag it in the app. ### 2/5 — 5 stars once you fix a tiny thing *2026-05-25, version 3.3.0* Your app registers as a browser on iPhone, so every time I scan a QR code or click a link it opens in Droplet. This is true even after I confirm Chrome is my default browser app in iOS settings. Somehow your app is capturing all links and QR codes. Just ask ChatGPT how to fix this and do it in Xcode. It won’t be hard, then I’ll give you 5 stars here and on Amazon. ### 4/5 — Please let me change the notification sound! *2026-05-24, version 3.3.0* This thing works great, but if it detects a leak or a running toilet in the middle of the night, I need it to wake me up! That little chirp isn’t cutting it. ### 4/5 — Good App. Great insights *2026-04-21, version 3.3.0* The fixture identification is beta so am looking forward to it being refined. I am doing my part to tag fixtures multiple times to help the app learn. So far the app is accurate and is providing a significant amount of knowledge on my water use. For a device that requires no pipe cutting, it’s fantastic. ### 5/5 — Droplet is Brilliant *2026-04-07, version 3.3.0* It works so good! Since installing it in November’25 it has saved hundreds of gallons and lots of money. I just wished it worked with Amazon Alexa devices so it would send an audible notification. ### 4/5 — Not Bad *2026-04-07, version 3.3.0* Overall, not too bad. It’s tough if you have a whole home water softener that often pulls water, since it’s a small amount that the droplet sees quite often (which is a plus) and alerts on many times, even after training. ### 1/5 — Missed Leak because of mandatory app update (still forcing updates) *2026-04-05, version 3.3.0* Title says it all, app forced a mandatory update and stopped sending push notifications. Froze a pipe and ran out 3,000 gallons while I was at work before the neighbor noticed and turned the water off for me.
