### 4/5 — Clean

*2025-09-26*

Add Russian language please

### 3/5 — Monthly Subscription for a Gym App

*2025-07-31, version 1.0.106*

Why not just pay one-time and own the app?

### 4/5 — Not everything works as advertised

*2025-07-23*

Cant add kpi/stats , chat option doesn't work, timeline doesn't work in calendar. No watch support.

Rest of the app is good.

### 4/5 — Great and minimalist

*2025-07-21, version 1.0.105*

The app is awesome - it delivers a clutter free design which provides everything you need and want during the workout. One place it is lacking is in progress tracking - I’d love to be able to see it all in one screen for each exercise. It would also be great if it could pull the body composition and weight metrics from Apple Health.

### 3/5 — Great Idea With Increasing Instability Issues

*2025-06-03*

I’m seeing some great progress ever since I began using Dropset a few months back and I want to like it more but it crashes at least a half dozen times every session and sends me back to the main screen. Happens a lot when changing equipment type or weight amounts. The more I use it, the less inclined I am to think it’s worth the subscription cost.

### 4/5 — Close to perfect, but….

*2025-04-12*

I love this app. It’s great. The UI is clear and concise and the sounds are great for reminders mid-workout. One thing that the app is lacking is Apple Watch support/integration. I don’t like being tethered to my phone during a gym workout. I’m the kindle of guy who starts a workout and chucks their phone into a bag to minimize distractions. This is where apps like Setgraph and Ladder excel and beat Dropset for me. When Apple Watch integration is added. I’ll definitely give Dropset another fair chance.

### 4/5 — Not Bad

*2025-03-28, version 1.0.105*

it would be good if will have "KG" supports as well. its not comoftable to only use "lb"

### 5/5 — User Friendly

*2025-03-21*

Great app and easy to use. Great recommendations for workouts and excellent customization for specific workout routines.

### 3/5 — Good but need this feature asap

*2025-03-20*

App itself is good for tracking, needs better example on the excises like short demonstration videos. But it urgently need a apple watch URGENTLY.

### 4/5 — Love it, but needs one change

*2025-03-20*

They need to ad Kg as a unit of measurement for body metrics. Otherwise an almost perfect app for the job

### 3/5 — Great App With Light Instability Issues

*2025-03-18*

Really enjoy the app so far and I’ve seen some great progress ever since I began using it a few months back. My biggest gripe is how the app crashes every time I change equipment for specific workouts. Thankfully it saves what I last did but the annoyance is definitely there. Additionally, it’ll crash whenever I change the weight amounts of particular sets, but that doesn’t happen as consistently.

### 4/5 — A few suggestions

*2025-03-10*

Would be great if you could add resistance bands to equipment and allow things like bike to be added multiple times - right now I can only add it once in my workout and I’d like to add it between sets.

### 4/5 — Please add watch support

*2025-02-13*

Will switch from Hevy once Apple Watch is supported. Love everything else

### 5/5 — Best Lifting App

*2025-01-15*

Simple UI, nearly every exercise available to program in, large buttons for when you have the post lift shakes, and ability to define the type of equipment used per exercise. I can’t recommend this app enough to my friends!

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2025-01-14, version 1.0.104*

I really like the minimalist UX. Can you make this work with apple watch pleae 😍

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Worth it?

*2025-09-17, version 1.0.106*

The app looks amazing. I love the clean simple design but App is definitely not worth the price. Theres a ton of other apps that do the exact same thing as this app and are fully free. Like “Gains” which only charges to see 1Repmax and Tagging.

### 1/5 — Cool design, poor functionality

*2025-07-10*

Looks nice but is a massive pain to use. App also seems to have been abandoned by devs as no update in last five months and no response to occasional messages in app’s chat. Why charge a subscription if it’s going to be abandoned. Should be free

### 1/5 — Subscription Needed

*2024-10-06, version 1.0.93*

Doesn’t mention it’s a subscription app until you’ve log your first set.

### 2/5 — Close but not quite

*2025-03-09, version 1.0.105*

The app is well designed but for actual tracking falls short. It does not show you your previous weights used for an exercise like similar apps do. Seems like a big oversight

### 2/5 — Exercise Library Needs Work

*2024-10-06*

Great UI with many great during workout features. With one major, huge, “why?” deficiency… the workout library is missing so many of the exercises I have in my workout. Again I love the UI but the app is unusable for me.

**Developer response:** Thanks for letting us know. We'd love to work with you to add the exercises that's missing, please get in touch with us at hello@getdropset.app

### 2/5 — Simple and effective fitness tracker with flaws

*2023-12-29, version 1.0.52*

Really simple, straight forward tracker. Actually enjoyed playing around with it.
Ideally, it needs better diagrams. Using weights without proper descriptions and images/diagrams could lead to poor form and subsequent injury. That needs addressing. Some exercises don’t even have anything but a vague instruction.
The reason for me to discontinue use, the price. At 3.99 per month it’s just too expensive nowadays for an app that lacks basics.
It does however have so much potential and I will definitely have another look in the future.

### 2/5 — Good app but too expensive

*2023-12-09, version 1.0.51*

As the title says. This is a pretty clean app that allows you to track things in a simple way. Unfortunately it is just completely overpriced. A £5 purchase price would be reasonable but £3.99 a month is daft for what it offers.

### 2/5 — Measurement are Non-Specific

*2023-05-11, version 1.0.11*

Great simple App I’m sure, but only just started using it and am already going to delete.
Wanted to track my weight and metrics. Measurements can be input, but with no way to indicate what it was you even measured. So I have three measurements for today, I can probably figure out which is which but when it gives you a line-graph it’s difficult to see progress when it jumps up ar down in the same day. Each measurement is only called “Measurement” and it logs the date. That’s it. Needs a little more effort & thought into what users would be using App for.

### 3/5 — Great Idea With Increasing Instability Issues

*2026-05-05*

I’m seeing some great progress ever since I began using Dropset a few months back and I want to like it more but it crashes at least a half dozen times every session and sends me back to the main screen. Happens a lot when changing equipment type or weight amounts. The more I use it, the less inclined I am to think it’s worth the subscription cost.

### 3/5 — Promising

*2025-09-20, version 1.0.106*

Definitely the sleekest tracking app I’ve tried. I’d love to move from another app, but the data import didn’t work and Dropset seems to be lacking quite a few exercises and variations (eg. Chest Press does not have a Dumbbell option).

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Minimal and Well Thought Design

*2026-02-12*

It’s rare to see apps with such care to design, the interface is so clean and polished and it just works, nothing extra nothing annoying just an amazing app

### 5/5 — Phenomenal

*2026-02-05, version 1.0.106*

Been using it for a very long while now, I love the app and features helped me alot. However I do wish it fully comes to Apple Watch soon.

### 5/5 — Best gym tracking app

*2025-12-23, version 1.0.106*

No clutter or unnecessary features, just the essentials. Keeps it clean and intentional.

### 5/5 — Very convenient, super simplistic, love it

*2025-07-26*

Although I rated it five, I only have one problem there is a feature where you can make an account to communicate within the app with other users, however I’m not able. And when I deleted my account, it said it wouldn’t affect my workout logs or anything like that but when I swiped the app and checked again everything was gone..

### 5/5 — Love this app, have been using it for most of a year

*2025-06-24, version 1.0.105*

It seems like I’ve tried a few in the past but they were never quite right. I’ve been using Dropset now for about 8-9 months and I absolutely love it, so I’m going to talk about why!

They have premade workouts you can choose, but I have only created my own customized ones (that is, creating it in their app from trusted programs I have researched/found online, not “making it up myself,” because that would be silly), so I can’t say how valid theirs are. But it’s easy/intuitive to create your own routine, and create your own custom exercises if they don’t have the exact one you want already set up. They do have a ton already in there to choose from, and you can pick them based on like, upper body, glutes, etc.

You can make several different routines, like if you’re doing a PPL split, and put them in a folder so they show up grouped on your main page, so later if you switch to a full-body 3-day split you can sort of ignore the other ones. You can also tell it the frequency when you want to do each one, or the day of the week, and it will remind you which one is next or remind you that today is Push, for instance.

As you are doing the workout, you can start it and have exercises set on durations that you set, then it automatically will run the interval timer you’ve set for working/resting period and log them. I use this interval setting for like, planks, at the beginning of my workout, and then a dead hang at the end. Then when you’re done with that exercise, it starts the rest timer (as you have set it) for between sets.

The screen is black and white, and it will beep for the intervals and then beep for the rest timer, and between sets the rest timer visually shows how much more time you have, which is kind of nice - I like that when someone is asking if you’re close to being done, so I can show them “30 more seconds rest then one more set,” easily. Or if I’m up and walking around to get in some steps when I walk by I can see visually if it’s almost time to be starting the next set.

When you log the last set of one, the screen comes up to show the next exercise. It shows what you did for sets/reps/weights the last time. If you want to log something different this time, it’s easy to adjust and then check the box as you complete each set. There is also a little notes section, like if you want to note that the last set was extra hard today or that the green handle kettlebell is the one you want for x weight, or whatever.

The name is also a feature within the app - if you want to do a drop set for any of the exercises, you can quickly add that as a special thing and it will create it as a sub to the last set. And you can record the RPE for each set, if you want.

There are charts for each exercise where you can see total weight for the day over time, or heaviest weight, or 1-rep max, or total reps.

There is also a calendar view where you can see which days you’ve logged workouts, and you can set each workout to have a distinctive symbol so you can see which ones you were doing on those days.

You can also easily set up supersets, so for instance if you want to do bicep curls/tricep extensions, it will go from logging the curl right into the screen for the extensions, then have a rest between the supersets.

It’s not free, but there is a trial membership, and for me the functionality is so much exactly what I want that I am happy to pay for it.

### 5/5 — Finally

*2025-05-28, version 1.0.105*

I’ve searched ages for an easy to use, and simple app for tracking your progress over time. Finally found a good solution

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-05-01*

Very minimal simple and easy to use app. Finally, there is a Fitness app that helps me to track my exercise and it also offers a lifetime purchase so that’s a brownie point.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2025-04-28, version 1.0.105*

Easily the best gym app I have ever used. Has all the right information and tools you'd ever need and only need to pay £4.49 a month! Recommend to absolutely everyone.

### 5/5 — Aesthetic and practical perfection. The only app you need 🐐

*2025-04-25, version 1.0.105*

This app is the most aesthetically pleasing, and most comprehensive training and workout tracking software that iv seen to date and iv seen almost all of them, after looking for months on end for an app that is: 1 easy to use, 2 aesthetically pleasing to look at and use at the same time and 3 is fully comprehensive in a both beginner, intermediate and advanced training level.
This app is the grail and I hope it stays on the market for everyone to enjoy.
The only thing i would ever think it could improve with is keep the app as it is, but make it apple smart watch accessible, even if it’s just basic one page tracking.
If the advertising was better placed like more on YouTube I bet you would be making money like a bank.
Five stars even as it is ❤️

### 5/5 — Awesome Alternative to Hevy and Strong Workout Trackers

*2025-04-08, version 1.0.105*

Highly recommend this app. Has beautiful UI, highly functional, integrates with Apple Health, offers import export, and is updated fairly regularly.
