### 4/5 — Only really an upload tool.

*2023-04-25, version 3.18.2*

Not what I was looking for - works fine with Backblaze (although shame it can’t browse the buckets once a login is provided) for uploading individual files, but I wanted something more of a sync tool/multi-file up/downloader. This would probably work well for folks who need to upload specific files/photos in a relatively easy way, but I have other apps that can do that automatically.

Also tested with Imgur, but again, a little limited for what I would like, given the cost of the tool.

### 2/5 — No AWS US-EAST-1 S3 region.

*2022-11-10, version 3.10*

Because there is no us-east-1 region option, all attempts to connect fail. I’ve used every option in the list and they all fail with “Bad request: error 400”

The AKID and SAK work fine with other apps. This app… nope.

### 2/5 — Can’t bulk upload to sftp can’t cancel my pro subscription

*2020-09-08, version 2.3.1*

Same as title. Underwhelming

### 5/5 — Must have

*2020-06-28*

The app is really practical to share screenshot with clients.

### 3/5 — Great app, but...

*2019-09-28, version 2.3.1*

This app is great, especially when synced with BackBlaze. In iOS 13 it appears the extension share is broke.

This is a five star app when the extension is fixed.

### 2/5 — Disappointed by subscription

*2019-05-29, version 2.3.1*

I thought this would be a great replacement for issues I've had with cloudapp and droplr, but I'm not interested in a app subscription in order to use my own paid storage services.

### 5/5 — Works well on my iPhone and uploading to S3

*2019-05-06, version 2.3*

I’m not super technical, but I got this set up fairly easily.
When I did have a problem, I contacted support and the developers fixed it fairly quickly.
With the 4K camera on my phone the files get pretty big,And I wanted a super convenient way to get them uploaded to where the rest of my team could access them and process them. Drop share worked really well

### 5/5 — Excellent quick sharing

*2019-03-07, version 2.3*

Sharing and saving that is on your choice of cloud storage and not some hosted services. This is good companion to Mac OS app.

### 2/5 — Cannot year the app without going pro

*2019-01-26, version 2.2*

Unfortunately there is no trial version... without going pro.
I was expecting to try the app with some limitations (trial period, limit on upload/download) with Backblaze and other providers...

Uninstalling the app after 2 minutes...

You are probably losing a lot of potential customers

### 2/5 — Disappointing

*2018-08-15, version 2.0.18*

The app itself cannot upload more than one image at a time. If you upload multiple images from Photos via the share sheet it creates a zip archive (huh?). Images are not originals, but converted to JPEG, and exif tags are lost.

### 4/5 — Great SCP/SSH function, but very pricey.

*2018-02-16, version 2.0.13*

Great app! Pricey for scp/ssh. Here are some of my recommendations:

- Send a push notification when file has uploaded, and force touch options for it (copy, open in browser, etc)
- Lower the price. I only use the scp/ssh option, and I had to pay $11 bucks for it. I guess that’s what I get for having an iPhone. 😅
- Character length input for randomisation. The slider isn’t as useful, I don’t know how many characters my link will be. I would like only 5 random chars without changing the slider all the time.

However, this app has a great, clean UI. It runs fast, and I haven’t encountered any bugs/crashes yet. I’m anticipating the future updates. Keep up the good work, team.

(Note: I wonder if I could have a workflow, e.g. in the widgets, ‘Upload most recent photo in library to ssh/aws/Dropbox, etc’ then copy link to clipboard kinda thing. That would be cool.)

### 4/5 — Easy way to access B2

*2018-01-31, version 2.0.12*

Actually, only way to access B2 shares.

In any case, decent app, but would be even better with Files integration.

### 5/5 — Superb

*2017-10-04, version 2.0.9*

Very useful and seamless integration with Mac. Many useful options, easy to set expiry and customise landing page. Also great customer service.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — False trial advertising to get you to pay

*2024-11-04, version 3.44*

App says you can try it for 7 days but you must pay first. Once you do you there is no trial. Apple won’t refund the payment.

### 1/5 — Subscription, really?

*2021-11-11, version 3.3*

Are you kidding me? I paid $25 for the desktop app, and now I am expected to pay another $1.50 per MONTH to use the iOS version of the app? Wow. I’m sorry I went down this road.

### 1/5 — $1.99 CAD/month?!

*2020-03-01, version 2.3.1*

Other apps can upload to S3 for $2.79 CAD as a one time purchase!
I love this app on the Desktop and I do feel it’s worth money (it’s quality software) but not $2/month ($24/year) for uploads from mobile!

Subscription means that a spouse ALSO has to pay $2/month for a total of $4/month ($48/year household total)

Other apps... $2.79 one time purchase for the household.

### 1/5 — Used to be one of my favorite apps

*2019-09-04, version 2.3.1*

Was a solid and useful app before they moved to a subscription model and pulled the rug out on features I already paid for 😒

### 1/5 — Pass

*2019-07-28, version 2.3.1*

$18/year to use an app that you still have to provide your own storage for. Let that sink in. 😂

### 1/5 — Moving on

*2019-03-27, version 2.3*

Not happy about being hit up for a subscription to continue using an app that I already purchaced. Especially when I'm providing my own S3 accounts. I totally understand developers need to eat but I didn't sign up to feed them all every month just use some basic utilities that in a previous generation would have been one time pay shareware. I will be deleting this on my phone and Mac and returning to just using dropbox where I at least understand the value proposition.

### 1/5 — Keine Fotos in voller Auflösung

*2018-02-04, version 2.0.12*

### 1/5 — Crap

*2017-03-18, version 2.0.5*

Crap

### 1/5 — Fails in various ways

*2017-03-09, version 2.0.5*

Trying to upload a PDF email attachment to my SSH server. Usually it crashes. When it says it succeeded, there's just a file with the text contents "No pdftotext available". It shouldn't be trying to convert it to text. And I paid $7 for this?

### 1/5 — Wow

*2016-12-17, version 2.0*

How's that pricing model working out for you guys? Bunch of commie basturds. Sheesh.

### 5/5 — Getting there

*2025-09-15, version 3.55*

Getting there

### 5/5 — WeTransfer Replacement

*2024-12-28, version 3.47*

This app is truly amazing! Even after buying external storage, I’m saving money by not paying for WeTransfer, and I have more flexibility in how my files are being sent. Loving the customization of download pages as well!

### 5/5 — Just WOW!

*2024-09-07, version 3.42*

I have been using this app for nearly a decade now on both ios and macos and this has always delivered! Never had any serious issues with it and the one time I had a minor, cosmetic, non-breaking occurrence, the developer himself wrote back to me within hours saying the fix would be pushed to the new version! Just WOW. Best self-hosted screenshot/quick movie maker app out there!

### 5/5 — Terrific file upload tool

*2024-03-20, version 3.37*

Timo is super passionate and responsive, and ships updates extremely frequently. Dropshare is a no brainer if you have your own storage since all the other apps charge subscription fees for you to use their hosted cloud. Been a user for over a decade now (!) with the Lifetime license and am very grateful this exists. The mac app is great, too. I use it with my own S3 buckets, extremely inexpensive.

### 5/5 — Great support

*2023-12-02, version 3.27*

The app works very nicely for its purpose, but more than that the support is amazing. I reported a difference between the iOS and macOS versions and it was fixed in 2 days. I’m confident that if I have any issues down the line, they’ll get fixed.

### 5/5 — Great App for Sharing All File Types

*2023-11-08, version 3.24*

This app saves me a ton of time sharing files with my team. I highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — Crashes a lot

*2023-11-04, version 3.23.1*

App crashes when attempting to view uploaded files (connection is FTP to GoDaddy). Also crashes when I attempt to open or share logs.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2023-06-12, version 3.19*

Very nice ! Use it almost daily!

### 5/5 — Terrific file upload tool

*2023-03-25*

Timo is super passionate and responsive, and ships updates extremely frequently. Dropshare is a no brainer if you have your own storage since all the other apps charge subscription fees for you to use their hosted cloud. Been a user for about a decade now (!) and am very grateful this exists! I use it with my own S3 buckets, extremely inexpensive.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much!

### 5/5 — Terrific file upload tool

*2020-11-16, version 3.0*

Super passionate and responsive developer. Updated frequently. It's the best solution if you have your own storage since all the other apps charge subscription fees for you to use their hosted cloud. Very grateful this exists!
