Relies on an having Italian mobile number rather than email for registration and the app is only partly translated.

If you are looking to make electronic ticket purchases (e.g. in our case to travel around Sardinia) then download Tabnet instead; it allows email registration and in app ticket purchasing in English.

L’app n’est pas 100% traduit en anglais (ou toute autre langue que l’italien), il faut choisir quel type de transport l’on prend même avec un passe 72h (ce sont différents QR code sur l’on prenne le métro ou le bus). Bought two 72 hour passes for “all public transit” in Rome and was unable to use them. Cost me close to 40USD. They say they work for all public transit but then require you to validate them at a metro station before they can be used anywhere. If you are not wanting to use them for the metro and want to use them for the bus you will be UNABLE to access your tickets. The support does not speak English and their response time is less than quick. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID. Hard to believe that these apps for Rome do such a god awful job at the one thing they’re supposed to be used for. They’re all the same. They take your money or they don’t even let you make an account as a tourist. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. DO NOT PUT YOUR CC INFO IN THIS APP. THEY WILL HAPPILY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN.

This app actually worked with my USA-based credit card. My card is from Capital One and it is 3D secure. I was shocked because other bus apps in Italy that I have tried with the same card have failed at the last moment. One suggestion I have for DropTicket is to enable Apple and Google Pay because that would make the purchase process much faster and easier. I think that is required for the app to be fully useful.

It says you can buy bus tickets, but when you finally get logged in the only buttons are for Tren Italia and parking. Maybe Tren Italia runs some buses, but I was hoping I could get a regular city bus ticket, and none of the stops on my bus route were listed

I bought the ticket on the application, the payment was done, I received the email with the tickets but on the app it’s not visible. Is the second time that this happened to me and when I explain the situation to the driver, she didn’t understood and I had to by a second one.

Interfaccia per niente intuitiva, funzioni limitate che ti obbligano a creare account di terze parti senza nessuna apparente ragione, cosa peggiore se non rinnovi il tuo biglietto prima della scadenza sei praticamente costretto a tornare all'auto per crearne un altro o cercare il punto in cui la tua auto è parcheggiata sulla mappa a memoria perdendo un sacco di tempo per ricevere in fine assurdi messaggi di errore "non è possibile parcheggiare in questa zona" quando la tua auto è parcheggiata li, ho preso una multa salata per colpa vostra, siete degli incompetenti, non auguro a nessuno di trovarsi ad utilizzare questo servizio davvero penoso e scadente.

Aggiornamento alla risposta di Dropticket,
Bella l'idea di poter usare il puntatore sulla mappa per ricreare un nuovo biglietto, peccato che a meno che non si è nella propria città ritrovare il punto preciso sulla mappa è molto difficile e fa perdere un sacco di tempo, in più nel mio caso non era comunque possibile ricreare il biglietto poichè dopo aver sprecato mezz'ora a cercare il punto esatto in cui la mia macchina era parcheggiata, al momento dell'acquisto del biglietto ricevevo un messaggio di errore, tornare li di persona era impossibile e da qui il titolo "il modo più veloce per prendere una multa"

For the record, it is ridiculous that you are refused access to an ARST bus even in remote locations without a ticket and are then obliged to buy a ticket through this app for the lack of obvious ticket shops. What is an elderly person in a village or a tourist supposed to do to be able to ride the bus? That’s not how I would spell customer friendly. Even more so since there is no hint on the relevant websites pointing this out, e.g. for a tourist. Friends from our group were left abandoned in the middle of nowhere by a bus driver. 
As for the app, while it is nice to have parts of it in English, it would be great if the actual relevant information would come with a translation as well. Information such as the ability to prebuy a bus ticket which may be validated at a later date is solely stated in Italian. Also, at pretty much every step I tried to do it told me that I should try again at a later date since I had no internet (despite a somewhat stable 4G mobile connection).

I used the app to pay the parking, but I’ve got a parking ticket.
I contacted the customer service without any response.
It’s safer paying on the machine rather than with the app.

J’ai acheté un passe de 3 jours pour utiliser les bus à Rome et je n’ai jamais pu l’utiliser car impossible de télécharger le passe heureusement que je n’ai jamais eu de contrôle. Un bon conseil n’achetez jamais sur cette application

Requires a +39 phone number.  Quite useless for travelers in a tourist dominated market.   No support at all for regionalization and the app will have to be completely rewritten to grow beyond Italy.   From an investor perspective this app is beta and not ready for growth.

Awfully complicated process and ridiculous, non-user friendly UI. You can’t register with a non Italian phone number. No English translation. Can’t simply purchase a ticket, not all regional stops are listed. Really surprising this was approved to be used officially. Not only for tourists but my Italian friend who has an Italian number also has been trying to figure how to purchase a ticket on this app for 15 mins now :|

As others noted, you cannot change the language to English. You cannot buy all tickets, at least we did not find the 72h ticket for Rome, just 24h. Not a lot of payment options. We ended up buying a ticket in the metro station...

Super pour les touristes quand on ne peut pas traduire l’italien et qu’on ne sait que parler anglais. Le billet de bus qui s’active directement après avoir mit son numéro de carte, résultat : un tiquet gâché. Au lieu de pouvoir l’acheter la veille puis l’activer à l’arrêt de bus.

Completely terrible for Rome. Unable to use the pass at the metro and the folks working at the metro said the software was not compatible. The bus routes didn’t match up either. Ended up having to buy additional hard tickets after buying two 72 hour passes. Customer service did immediately answer my call, but advised me to reach out via email and they would not give me a refund.

Ho usato l’app Drop Ticket per acquistare un biglietto orario e spostarmi in città a L’Aquila e l’esperienza è stata soddisfacente. L’app elimina il problema di dover andare in giro per cercare biglietti, facendo risparmiare tempo. Unico, piccolo, neo: il biglietto si attiva subito dopo l’acquisto e non quando deciso dal cliente: se non si è già alla fermata, si perdono minuti che potrebbero risultare preziosi. Si può comunque evitare il problema acquistandolo “all’ultimo momento “.

Senza avere costi di commissione, quindi pagando esattamente la solita tariffa della colonnina per il parcheggio, questa app è fantastica. Primo ti libera dal problema di non sapere come pagare il parcheggio se non si hanno le monetine. Secondo, e cosa più importante, si paga solo ed esattamente l’orario per cui si rimane parcheggiati, senza dover pagare la “tariffa minima” che in alcune aree è richiesta. Terzo, ed è la cosa più importante, nessuno stress per andare a prendere la macchina prima che il parcheggio scada o nessuna corsa per andare a rinnovare il biglietto

Trovo l’app efficace, in un attimo si attiva il biglietto con la possibilità di scegliere tra più targhe, tiene conto dei minuti di sosta compresi gli orari del parcheggio (bloccando il pagamento in caso di termine orario) e con possibilità di notifica sul cellulare come promemoria di fermare il pagamento quando si raggiunge il parcheggio con il servizio di localizzazione posizione. 
Per me che spesso non dispongo di moneta e che ho dei bambini piccoli non mi devo preoccupare di spostarmi e cercare il parchimetro (lo stesso in caso di maltempo).

La consiglio anche perché il ticket è spendibile su molte piazze e perché così si pagano gli effettivi minuti di sosta (non dovendo quindi inserire più del dovuto o preoccuparsi di aver scaduto il ticket). Inoltre il ticket si può acquistare in tempo reale con appoggio su carta.

A malincuore sono deluso del fatto che alcuni comuni da capoluogo di provincia di trapani non hanno DropTicket tipo Erice , Castellammare del golfo etc. L’applicazione è eccellente
