Gameplay, artstyle, and exploration are great! 2D Gothic is a fairly accurate description in terms of gameplay and soul, minus the jank. Game occasionally crashes, but that could just be a me problem. So, so good. *2026-06-10* I have the game on Steam already but loved it so much that I wanted to continue to support the devs & buy it here too. Drova is SUCH a great game, you guys. It’s immersive & intriguing—even if you’re not a fan of pixel art, you’ll love this game. It actually has a lot of depth to it too…some moments may make you feel completely devastated, and then there will be moments you’ll totally bust out laughing. You have a lot of player choice here as well…you can even attempt to be everyone’s “hero”, while secretly robbing them blind behind their backs. Some things you may get away with, and some things will have dire consequences—maybe even way later on. Part of the fun is not knowing, and then perhaps totally messing up, lol. The first time I played, I joined the larger of the 2 factions, so I’m antsy to replay it now and see how the story goes when I make all different choices. That’s another plus: complete replayability. There’s a reason why Drova has become so popular. However, what I quickly found out is that every couple of minutes the app just crashes. Even with having the shortest auto save on I was losing any progress I made. I loved the premise but I just can’t play it due to the bug issues. I can’t even count how many games could have been good if there was a way to get this off the screen. It’s 2026 people come on. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Exceptional *2026-07-26* A lovingly crafted little masterpiece, beautiful and atmospheric. Some locations, like Forest Primeval, are a pure joy to explore, while others, like Knawd Moor, are genuine nightmare fuel (and the amazing soundtrack complements them perfectly). The lore is much deeper than the game itself: to figure out the whole history of the Bygones, you have to actually sit down and manually piece together the world’s chronology from all the random notes you’ve gathered - the plot doesn’t lead you through it (at least not all of it). The story is captivating, the dialogues and characters are well-written. The crafting system is one of the best I’ve seen in RPGs. The fighting system may need some polishing, but that’s about it. The game rewards different playing styles/builds - with a proper combination of artifacts, spells, abilities, and weapons, you can build a very efficient character, but then reconfigure it with relative ease when you encounter a really challenging enemy. Special thanks to the game designers for the endless inventory - the game would’ve been much less solid and enjoyable without it. ### 5/5 — Вопрос к языку *2026-07-13* Добавьте, пожалуйста, русский язык ### 5/5 — Episch! *2026-07-05* Ein episches Spiel!
