Since then the price has gone up 4x. Now I can even favorite the beats I paid for without it making me pay again! Have worked with a few drummers. I’ve had many drum machines. Started with metronomes. Worked more advanced drum machines. All good. Having rhythm with music is important. This is 21st century very compatible rhythm. In the beginning is somewhat overwhelming with all the options that are available. But I stuck with it and looked at the possibilities and have found an incredible Drum machine. I play in restaurants occasionally. I play a lot at home. Rhythm adds significantly to the music. And this is a fabulous software for $45 for lifetime membership. Highly recommended. Addendum. Have now been using drum machine for several months. I now will give it a six star. Great interface, simple, lots of beats, just enough features but still simple to use. Great for practice, jamming, and capturing quick ideas and exploring beats. And they’ve been adding new beats and they’re easily accessible and well organized and named. Subsequently, I was denied access to the app and charged further fees. This behavior suggests a company driven by greed. I strongly recommend Rock Drummer as an alternative; they appear to be more ethical in their business practices. ### 1/5 — Data collection and a fee *2024-11-14, version 4.5.7* App takes you through a lengthy quiz the first time you open it, gathering information on your music tastes and what you play, before dumping you on a pay to access subscription screen. It automatically brings up the Apple Pay menu, and if you close out of it, it brings you to a new menu where the price has dropped from $7 to $2. Even if I would have paid that for a decent metronome app, I’ve uninstalled simply for the obvious manipulation, data gathering, and absolute waste of my time right off the bat. Can’t say if the beats are any good - never got to test any of them out. There are also a lot of good setup parameters that are easy to set up. I’m using it for live performance. I also pairs very well with AirTurn foot controllers so you can scroll through beats and start / stop them.
