Otherwise - the beats are highly useful and I would spend more time using the app. Ok - I’d also like to see more irish-styled beats and some more jazz/latin beats… but I'll settle for just being able to read the list without having to switch between display modes all the time. ### 3/5 — Too many similar beat patterns *2022-06-05* There are 50 drum beat patterns, but too many funk 1,2,3,... funky 1,2,3.... 10 different samples under same category sound same!! Would be better if ... [1] organize and downsize them to only 10-20 patterns. Especially the REGGAE are literally useless to play along, because of the Drum Rolls. Practically impossible to pick any of your favorites song and play from start to finish with these Drum Beats. - And please include AMA PIANO, AFRO, DANCEHALL, TECHNO and other new trends. ### 1/5 — Unusable *2023-01-30, version 1.7.0* Audio quality poor, recorded too hot, too compressed. Broken fidelity especially when you slow tempo. Beats have way too many fills to be good f any practical use composing music. Author should study how beats fit intros, verse, chorus, bridges etc. drums are rarely solo instruments they “ Back” other instruments and add flare in strategically as drum breaks not simple stuffed into every measure overcrowding the soundscape. “It’s the silence between notes that give the notes Dynamics. Dynamics is what gives the music human feelings. Strange from an accompaniment app. I hope developers will improve. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Nothing to adjust, just play along! *2026-06-20* To be up-front, there is nothing in the description that says “this is a drum machine.” So don’t be disappointed to find out it’s just a predetermined set of about 50 tracks that cannot be altered whatsoever: this app is what it says it is! 🙂 I’m not sure if it’s a sampled or sequenced set of tracks, but they sound good, and they’re for practicing, or just listening to. No frills here! And it’s free. Unlike in some reviews, there is now (in 2026) a slider bar to speed up and slow down the tempo, and the tracks are named, so those are two improvements right there. I would like to see what the tempos are, but instead the app can take the tempos as slow as .5 (1/2), or as fast as 2x, so one isn’t totally blind as to how fast you’re going. Ad strip along the bottom (so far, the only ads that have appeared, and I appreciate that). It’s free, and it’s a great app for what it is.
