## What is Drum Surgeon AUv3 Plugin?

DrumSurgeon is an AUv3 plugin designed for use in your favourite DAW such as AUM, Logic, Loopy Pro, Cubasis or GarageBand etc.

Drum surgeon is a dynamics / transient processor specifically designed for fine tuning your drums. So your drum sounds are lacking punch and lost in the mix? This is where Drum Doctor can really help by allowing you to literally shape and boost your kit to break through the mix safetly and without clipping.

The attack or onset of a sound is known as its transient. By controlling the level, shape and duration of these sounds, you change the dynamics of a drum track to achieve that perfect tightness, while boosting them to give your kick the right punch and snare the right amount of bite.

Use the saturation to overdrive your mix prior to shaping.  This can drastically change the character of some drum sounds at the filtering stage. The single LP/HP filtering knob lets you quickly find the tone that suits combined with the 8 band EQ to define your sound. 

Finally the intensity knob allows you to control the level of dynamics applied to your mix. Automate this in real time when you want to relax or accentuate your drum track during your song.

Added Drum Surgeon to a drum track in GarageBand iPad.  Tried a few factory presets and immediately became an impressed and satisfied customer.  Great job of setting up your presets, they are useful and fast at displaying your apps unexaggerated capabilities.  It’s very musical and present if you want it or subtle and hardly noticeable.  I,m going to have a lot of fun with this, it’s truly inspiring.  Thumbs up!

This is one of my go-to apps for making drums, percussions, bass, synths sound like thunder and lightning. It’s got the right combination of features to make your music jump out your mix! Highly recommended!!!

I just don’t understand how did people miss o this gold mine of an app.
Excluding the transient shaper, the other functionality of this one is simply beyond my comprehension.

The thing that amazes me the most is how Paul keeps his apps compact yet flexible.
Someday, someday sensei Paul would stop creating these gems of apps, I just can’t accept it, no I can’t.

Now I do understand why he chose 4pockets, because, each and every music production tools necessary would inside be in the jeans of your pockets mate!

Sensei, I want you to outlive me, keep contributing,keep working hard, keep loving iOS!

This is a great app for taking one or two drum sequences and manipulating them into many similar, but also different beats. Great take on transient detection and manipulation!
