I just downloaded the app, but the microphone doesn't work at all on iOS 18.6.2. I can't even get past the first step, so I'm unable to review the actual app features. Please fix this bug so it can be used.

**Developer response:** Hi there, you’ll need to grant microphone access to the app when installing it. If you accidentally pressed ‘no’ then you can either change this through the device settings, or delete and reinstall the app, allowing microphone access when asked.

Just got this app. Its not even working in iphone. The metronome and sounds dont sync. Same app works as expected in ipad. Disappoined

App has many rudiments, metronome, an indicator for when you hit and many other features. But you can play the complete wrong thing and the app will score you at 70 or 80. So it doesn’t actually give you any feedback, which is the whole draw of the app. Why not just use a youtube video that also has indicators. Good app, but please fix this.

To be of real use it need to fully render properly on an ipad. This expands but is grainy. It’s impossible to contact the developer and if you raise an issue it goes to apple whose only answer is a refund - i just want it to work properly.

I want to give it 5 stars but I have to run learn latency on a regular basis, so often that it has become frustrating.  I will be going along practicing, having a score in the nineties and then, out of nowhere, my score suddenly drops to one percent even though I am still on the click. I then have to run « learn latency » several times, sometimes having to reload the app (and sometimes not even that works) before the problem is resolved.
Apart from that, I love this app. It’s honestly an incredible tool, I just want more consistency.

The learn latency routine shouldn’t be the solution to the problem you describe. Scores fall to 1% if the app cannot hear your stick hits, so latency shouldn’t be the issue at all. Please check the microphone sensitivity is set to max and follow our test and setup tutorials at www.drummeritp.com There are lots of other things to discuss to help find and solve the issue with your setup, so please email and we’ll get to the bottom of it and help you get fully setup asap!

This app would be perfect if you could set it to track any rudiment or sticking pattern that you wanted. There are a number of rudimental patterns that I’ve been working on and was hoping to find in here, but sadly are not included. If they ever add a feature to create your own rudiment, or if they add a large amount of other rudiments later on this would hands down be the best app for drummers on the market.

The app is pretty good but I’ve contacted the developer several times with questions and had no response from them. Disappointing customer service.

Overall, a really great app. Helps keep my timing and let’s me see my progress. One thing I did not see in the app was an action for a “count in”. It can be tricky to start the timer and click and get right on track, which I would think have a bearing on the accuracy rating. Might be something to think about.

When you select an exercise and press start you should see the big 4-3-2-1 counter in the middle of the screen, giving you time to get into sync before the exercise starts and the app scoring your performance. I got this thing a while ago and said my accuracy was crap. Keep in mind I don’t ever play with out a click for the last 20 years. 
I’m reading reviews and I see the developer mentioning Bluetooth head phones won’t work and headphones with microphones. Well, it’s 2022 and these are Apple headphones and AirPods. Tell us what are we supposed to use then ??! They don’t make headphone jacks on them anymore . Or headphones without mics. Is it still an issue ?

**Developer response:** Hi there. Bluetooth data is not high quality enough to use with professional audio apps - don’t blame us, blame the laws of physics! You will never see Bluetooth used in a recording studio or with professional audio tools. It adds an unpredictable time delay which makes recording or measuring impossible. You just need to use the cheap lightning to jack adaptor by Apple and then you can use a normal pair of headphones. Any wired headphones will work - mic or no mic. Great app - glad someone finally did this. However, it would be nice to be able to increase the difficulty settings.

You can be a little bit off time and it still counts it as an accurate hit. I managed to get 100% accuracy quite easily and that shouldn’t really be possible at my skill level.

I’d love to see an option that allows you to choose how close you have to be to the click to get an accurate stroke. E.g. a slider that goes up to 20 milliseconds or something.

Was hoping for something that would help me refine my timing and it does a great job, but currently I think it’s limited.

This is strange to hear - most drummers, even very experienced ones, find it virtually impossible to achieve 100% scores with the ITP app. There is certainly an issue with your setup if you are easily scoring 100%. If the click or pattern is playing out loud then the app will be recording those sounds and of course they are 100% accurate - so make sure you are using headphones when using the app. Please email us at info@idrumtune.com and we will help you get the correct setup. Mic goes in and out and there's a major lag starting and stopping. You're left with nothing more than a metronome. Disappointed.

Definitely a fantastic metronome. But the fact that I cannot but an accent on beat one defeats the entire purpose for me. I looked online, and I looked at your “help manual” and it says I can supposedly do this. I set the BPM to 120, and did everything else it says I should do but to no avail. The click just changes tempo which I do not want. Fluke.

To put the accent on beat one just go to ‘App Settings’ via the little cogwheel icon and choose the number of beats per bar you want to set. Then you’ll get the accent on beat one of the bar. The app doesn’t change tempo unless you select a new bpm, so it sounds like you’re not quite getting the fundamental features of the app. No problem, we are here to help, just email us at info@rt60.co.uk and we’ll help you get to grips with it in no time at all!

Not sure what’s wrong with the app. Maybe my version is buggy or something but it doesn’t seem to be working for me as described. It doesn’t seem to take accurate readings. It will either show me as having close to 100% consistency or accuracy then more like 1%. I mean I know I can have a bad day once in a while but that’s kind of excessive :P. 

Keep in mind that the app doesn’t work with Bluetooth headphones. I tried using an apple lightning to 1/8” adapter but then the audible click didn’t seem to be synced with the app. The click also sounded distorted when running through the apple lightning to 1/8” adapter. Thought it might be the adapter or headphones so I tried a couple of different pairs but no luck. 

Seems like a really cool idea though. If they get it to work I would definitely revisit it. As of now it was definitely a waste of money. No returns on the App Store unfortunately so buyer beware.

the app is usually very robust and we don’t have any crashes on our test platforms. Can you let us know what device and iOS you are using please and we’ll find out what’s going wrong with your install. Its simple: This app doesnt work. Only the click itself is in function. Thats all. My iphone is fine, also its microphones, but nothing  happens at all. Sorry, but this is really crap.

Got this app thinking it would help me dust up on my rudiments. 
It’s rubbish, doesn’t even register your hits on a practice pad as it says it does!

**UPDATE** Well, I have just downloaded and installed iOS 14.4 and deleted and re-installed the app and it still does not display properly!! This is beyond frustrating!! 

The app is not displaying properly on my iPad Mini 4. I have the latest OS installed, any suggestions to remedy the issues?

This app is amazing I am loving it! I was initially a little disappointed that it seemed not to have animated sheet music synced up with the metronome. But it does! Click the 🎵icon to right of the dynamic circle on the main screen. And voila!! This should be on by default IMO. Also, a great feature addition would be the option to retest an exercise from the high scores summary page! Good job y’all!

最近のiPhoneはヘッドフォン端子が無い為、Lightning接続の外付けのDACを経由してヘッドフォンを鳴らす構成ですが、外付けDACのDelay量は製品によって異なります。
Wiredで接続したヘッドフォンをiPhoneのマイク部に接近させてクリック音を拾わせaccyracyを試しに測定してみると、私の環境ではコンスタントに数msec遅れで表示されてしまいます。これはiphoneに接続している外付けDAC(headphone adapter)のdelayによる正しい挙動であることは理解していますが、App Setting項目にdelay値を補正するパラメータを備えて計測に反映させれば、表示上の遅れをゼロにできる筈です。また、Bluetooth接続だとLatency Zeroが保証できない為にaccracy診断ができないという制約も解決できると思うので、改良を期待します。

I absolutely love this app!!! I have been using it for the past few days and can already see a difference. I am still working on getting it dialed in but am thoroughly enjoying this using and practicing my pad work with this app.

I can see that I will be spending a lot of time working on my rudiments and timing over the winter months!

What a great investment for such a minimal price!!

I have found it really useful for bashing out those rudiments and there plenty on there. Only wish I have would be the ability to have 1e&a 2e&a visuals when you are not in rudiment mode.
