So I’ve been using Synology DS-111 since well 2011 and while it was fantastic the last round of updates several years ago made it super duper slow (maybe on purpose by synology). Anyways it still works but sadly with latest ios18 and iPhone DSCloud is super moody. Takes forever to connect and sync a few kB of data. 
This model doesn’t support DS Drive which makes little sense given it’s likely all customized rsync like algo running behind the scenes with some kind of git server for versioning (or svn or mercurial or whatever custom they made). 
While it mostly works, at times it can be frustrating given you have to wait 10-40m or forever for it to sync despite being connected. 
They should give it some love or port the drive over and make it work

Wenn man Zugang zu seiner nass hat, funktioniert. Aber nach einer Neuinstallation bekomme ich jedes Mal die Fehlermeldung dass die Version des DS Cloud nicht aktuell ist und ich es aktualisieren soll.
Wie aktuell soll sie denn sein, wenn ich sie gerade heruntergeladen habe?

Depuis les mises à jour DSM, il est impossible de passer hors-ligne des dossiers uniquement des fichiers.
Quel dommage cette application était tellement bien.
J’envisage de changer de marque de serveur

Seit dem letzten Update stürzt die App bei öffnen einer PDF Datei ab. Gab schon mal, wann gibt es hier das Update? Wenn es funktioniert, ist es eine Klasse App. Deutlich angenehmer als DS Drive, da hier normale Synchronisation von Ordnern und Unterordnen einfach funktioniert. Sachen wie Benutzerwechsel sind recht umständlich gelöst, Ds Drive ist hier aber dennoch um Längen schlechter.

For Synology: 
I tested Synology Drive.  This app is not powerful - it is very cumbersome.  I won't use them.  If there are no more updates for DSM 6.2, or a new app, I will change the system.  Offline synchronization is the minimum requirement for a mobile app.  Access to synchronized data should not be hidden behind countless menus.

App keeps saying app needs to be updated. Well don’t tell me, tell synology that their last update was 3 yrs ago and this does not work. They are approaching Western Digital levels of customer support.

UPDATE——-A YEAR after posting this Lord Synology deigns to respond….a year later….would have been better to NOT respond than say “hey we value you and your comments so so much we eventually got around to responding with a non response response”. Their lateness and “quality” response speaks for itself.  That and their removing PLEX functionality in their new systems…thanks for the downgrade nobody asked for.

Impossible de se connecter , en 4G, en wifi , avec ou sans SSL.
Pourtant ça fonctionne sur DSFILE, donc c’est bien DS CLOUD qui a un problème.
D’ailleurs ds cloud affiche l’erreur « veuillez mettre à jour DS CLOUD » alors que j’ai la dernière mis à jour.

Sinon, il serait temps de refaire une autre application de zéro. Celle-ci est vieille et truffée de bug !

I can open any PDF file with more two pages. It will quit from DS automatically once I open the PDF files with more than two pages. It’s really annoying and can’t work properly. Please investigate the bug and fix it ASAP.

Get app, I use it a lot. But it’s getting old 

To the developers: can you please transform this app to simply sync between the phone/iPad directory and the NAS (just like on MacOS)?
This will bring everything up to date (split screen, full integration with iOS, etc…)
DSCloud gets old and limited….. please keep up and integrate with the iOS/iPadOS file app with a simple sync service (similar to what you’ve done on MacOS)

Dommage que cette appli ne soit toujours pas compatible dsm7. J’avais besoin d’avoir en permanence la totalité de mes fichiers offline sur mon iPad et mon iPhone car je suis souvent hors réseau. Du coup je suis obligé de reprendre mon ordi portable. Dommage… elle était absolument indispensable. Mais j’ai espoir que Synology la rende de nouveau compatible.

I’ve installed this on my iPhone. Every time I try and connect it tells me that my DS Cloud is not up to date. Only problem is that as far as I can make out DS Cloud was discontinued a couple of years ago.

Der freundliche und schnell reagierende Support hat zum entfernen und erneutem installieren der App geraten. Nach 4h war dann alles wieder auf dem Handy und DS Cloud wie üblich nutzbar.

Tolle App.!

Ich finde es traurig, dass eine wirklich gute und hilfreiche App. derart negative Bewertungen erhält, nur weil der Bewertende sich nicht wirklich mit dem Problem auseinandergesetzt hat. Wie im Leben recht häufig, ist nicht die App. das Problem, sondern wir Anwender! Einfach auf dem Rechner „DS Drive“ installieren, Einstellungen anpassen und schon läuft alles wieder. Der Chat-Support von Synology hilft bei der Installation.

Die erste für mich perfekt funktionierende App, um auf iOS-Geräten und PC parallel an allen wichtigen Daten zu arbeiten. Jetzt fehlt nur noch ein besserer PDF-Editor und die Möglichkeit Dokumente auf dem Server per Öffnen in... auch live in anderen Apps bearbeiten zu können (oder Online direkt auf dem Server per DS File mit Öffnen in)
