But recently the DMS 7.2.2 update state it cannot be installed without deleting first but also it is unsupported. 😡! I have a library of over 650 movies and TV shows I could watch without issue on my FireStick TV. And I LOVED my computer could be off and still have access to my content. I’m currently trying Plex (I don’t like it) and VLC (it’s okay) but so far NOTHING compares to DS VIDEO to me. Please make a new version to work with the new DSM update!!!!! ### 4/5 — Works well. But could you fix the bug in the AppleTV app so that it shows the cover images. iOS app works, but AppleTV app does not show the images. Quand une prochaine mise à jour? ### 2/5 — Pretty seriously lacking *2024-09-22, version 3.4.5* The app does what I need it to do for the most part, but one of the most frustrating things is the inability to jump forward or backward by 10 second increments, which is especially frustrating on the Apple TV version of the app. This seems like it would be an easy fix, so why hasn’t it been fixed? Update a couple of years later: MAN I wish Synology would bring this app into the modern era. Years later we STILL don’t have a 10/30 second skip forward/skip backward function. Not to mention the lack of Autoplay Next Episode (works on Apple TV but not on other IOS devices). It’s just so behind the times. I’m not expecting Netflix, Prime, or Paramount+ levels of refinement and functionality here, but I’d at least like to see some basics added into the app. Need to remove one of my original three stars from the rating. I am running on latest iPad Air (2024) so it is not a hardware issue. I’m also on the same network so it is not an Internet connection speed issue. It also provides an easy way to download videos so I can view on an airplane. However, downloaded videos does not show the nice poster/tile view as folders on my DS server. Video Station and its clients are starting to look like abandonware with multiple bugs and other issues remaining unfixed. Might be time to look elsewhere than Synology for a media server. Apple TV app has bug with handling subtitles. It always plays subtitles. Moreover, the option to enable subtitles adds a second layer of subtitle. Switching subtitles off, still leaves it displaying subtitles. U also have to download Abt 5 other apps to get this one to work not to mention using the sinology website which is awful and makes no sense. Then the thing wasn’t working bc of some “not enabled quick sign in”? Which I then went to enable as u do but on the website there is absolutely nothing abt a quick sign in or an NAS which was the other thing mentioned. The assignment thing also didn’t work. He will note that you need to make sure your video codecs are using .m4v or .mp4 to optimize the system resources of the NAS for best video playback on client devices. ### 5/5 — Simple and fast *2024-12-29, version 3.4.5* This application allows me to save my tv content and gives me a plain and simple interface to access it. It does not try to sell me anything, it fetches the metadata on its own from tmdb, it allows me to choose video, audio and subtitle tracks. It allows me to share access with family and friends with an independent user management system. This is for me the perfect media player by a long stretch.
