It also tries to use a fancy location-tracking system to charge you for by-distance tickets, but it's unreliable. For example if you stop for a while in a station it may decide you got got off the train and finalize your ticket. You may then notice sometime later when a conductor nabs you for traveling without one. Finally the website blocks purchases from outside the country so good luck trying to prebook long-distance travel. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. Correct email on file shows up, when you click to get an email, you instead get a message. You can easily adjust the time and date in the search function to find trips that suit your schedule. The app is designed to automatically find the best route based on your input, whether it’s for now or later.-Joelle ### 2/5 — Commuter card *2026-03-30, version 3.0.0* So, I’m paying an enormous amount of money for my monthly commuter card, and it’s disappear from the app just because? It’s not my first time. Once I got fine because of that! ### 2/5 — Can’t Enter phone number with +1 prefix *2026-03-28* Got this app in preparation for an upcoming trip to Copenhagen but I have a United States phone number and the United States isn’t listed in the dropdown menu when setting up account phone number, so I couldn’t get very far. **Developer response:** Several country numbers have been blocked from accessing our app, and that is unfortunately what you discover here 🙁 If you have to buy a ticket for travel in Denmark, then you can buy a ticket in the ticket machine at the station.-Joelle ### 3/5 — Decent app for a meh service *2026-01-06, version 2.19.0* The app in general is polished and easy to understand. The core features mostly work from the point you have picked out a journey plan. However getting there is hellish. The app retains the horrid logic of the website and many of it’s broken features. I have never once gotten the “Arrive by” feature working for example, instead having to guess a rough departure time based on the average length of the journey. The search timeout is a heinous limitation as well, as it can trip you up even if you’ve been viewing journey plans or about to book, requiring a whole new search. Which btw will be essentially from scratch, as the journey time field will be reset every time. Also wish there was a more complete timetable to view in the app, the departures only show about an hour in advance, which is not enough time to re-plan in case something happens to your train or bus. ### 1/5 — Bad UX and useless for railway journeys *2025-10-13* An app with english settings available should show more than the landing page in English! And why isn’t it possible to look up destinations outside the city of Copenhagen? The ticket screen is too bright and dark mode could be darker. I got all the notifications from my foreign bank, but an error popped up in DSB. I selected Plan and Buy, chose a train from Copenhagen to Malmö, and instead of letting me purchase a ticket, the app forced me into a seat reservation only flow. It then redirected me to reserve bike space—even though I wasn’t traveling with a bike—and provided no way to proceed with buying the actual ticket. The workflow is confusing, appears to be broken, and leaves users unable to complete a simple purchase. An app for a national railway should make buying a ticket straightforward, not force users into a dead end. **Developer response:** We are so sorry for that, but a ticket from Copenhagen to Malmö can't be bought in the DSB App. You can only buy a bike ticket in the app. Next time when you need a ticket to Malmö you can buy it at the station. //Joelle ### 1/5 — United States *2026-07-21, version 3.2.2* How do we login with our 10 digit cell phone numbers when the app only allows for 8 digits ### 1/5 — Unusable *2026-06-13* Im traveling and don’t have text messages with my e sim . I cannot verify my number , and cannot use this app. at least use WhatsApp or data messages to verify phone numbers or use email seems very stupid to only use sms texting.
