With that being said, I have been told i’m not the type of candidate they are looking for so many times and it can be frustrating. For example, in my profile boosters I say I only have an Apple Watch, yet I just did an application where when I selected I own an Apple Watch it said I was not a good fit because I didn’t have a different smartwatch. Well… you already knew I only had an Apple Watch. I told you that. So why waste my time showing me an application that requires me to have a non-Apple-Watch smartwatch… stop wasting our time. USE the profile boosters or don’t waste our time with them. Quality has gone down hill. The question “when was the last time you did market research” why are we being asked that? You have the literal data to answer that!!!! Gosh, use the data you have to save us time!! Just got kicked for doing a survey in the last six months, why was I even offered that one?! They use copy and paste generic answers for everything instead of actually bothering to look into your specific issue. I still like the platform but miss the good old days when support would actually take the initiative to solve problems. I still give three stars because it’s a solid way to earn money. I was sent the “magic link” to do the mission on my computer, and the second I clicked the link, I was booted from the mission and it was closed. I did nothing to warrant this: I clicked the appropriate link, and was kicked out. Definitely a first for me, as I didn’t know this could happen either. I’ve already aired my grievances about how much this app has gone down hill, but I would argue it’s been even worse with these express missions. They data farm more than applications for regular missions, and quite frankly, the researchers behind them should be ashamed of themselves for making such egregious requirements to where hardly anyone can land them. It’s ridiculous, and my problem today further soured my opinion on this app. Original Review: I’ve had this app for around 2 years and made just over $400. The missions that you are chosen to complete come rarely (if ever). The last mission I was ever chosen to complete was January 29th of LAST YEAR. Seriously, I thought this app was okay, but now, it doesn’t even give me the time of day. Making pocket change is really nice, and the pay that some of the missions have me was enough to help me with bills. I’ve never felt more disappointed. The frequency of how often you get chosen for missions needs to change. Otherwise, I’ll delete the app for good. ### 1/5 — Be warned! *2026-04-24, version 2026.4.2* In my experience with the larger payout studies, the facilitators can at times try to move unscrupulously. I credit such to the fact that they would rather not pay the users respectfully for their time and service, however; multilaterally that is disrespectful to the dscout brand. After filling my details, It kept taking me back to the sign up page after clicking create account. What’s wrong ### 1/5 — Shady App, Illegal Practices *2026-08-05* I set up an account, went through all of the prerequisites to using it including inputting all my information, just to be denied by labeled as disqualified after answering a single question on nearly every survey I applied to. Despite maintaining relevancy to the particular studies, you will be kicked out almost instantly for the most confusing and irrelevant reasons possible. That’s not the worst part of this app I found, however, despite it being extremely annoying and counterintuitive, The worst part is that you have zero way, at least easy or apparent enough, to delete your account, clear your data, or contact support. You go to settings, and click the “Delete Account” button, just to be told you have to CONTACT THEM to delete your account. You click on the button they give you, and it does nothing. You hold on it and copy the link, and it sends you to their general massive directory of frequently asked questions, not addressing account deletion at all, ever. Want to email them normally? Great, go back, hit “contact us” and it leads you to a dead link. They’re holding your information hostage or making you go through a million hoops to clear it. Blatantly illegal and by all means shady. Use another app. ### 1/5 — Don’t support users *2026-08-02, version 2026.7.3* So disappointed! At first this app and the studies worked well. But then twice it froze up on me. The first time they said I was out of luck and to show proof next time. So the second time (different study) I took a video of it not working and submitted it. They told me there was nothing they could do. I followed up twice with a follow up question and I got no courtesy of a response. I only apply to studies that interest me and that I think I will qualify for and I will answer one question and then it will tell me I’m not qualified. How do you determine I’m not qualified for study, just by answering one question in the application? That doesn’t seem very fair to me. I have tried applying to multiple studies within a week. I’ve made a little over 300$ in a month but I haven’t been uber motivated, the payouts are 7-8 days after u finish a mission. Each mission can pay from 3$ to 300$ and I have NEVER had an issue with the payouts!!! ### 5/5 — dscout is the best *2026-07-10, version 2026.6.3* I’ve been using this app since June 2025 and it has worked wonders for me with accessibility. I’ve enjoyed sharing my feedback with different apps and how I use them in my daily life. I hope this app reaches many other people with visual impairment as well because if anyone is looking to find any good companies to collaborate with, this is good not only for side, but for the blind as well, and the experience is not only enjoyable, but you’re making great payments as well by giving your all and that’s all that matters. I love it so much!!!!!! ### 5/5 — Love this app *UPDATE* *2026-05-05, version 2026.4.3* *Update* Im still making money on this app pretty regularly, but you get to disqualified way too easy and from way too many missions of every kind express regular anything. On top of that the payout system has gotten horrible. You sometimes have to wait two or three weeks to get paid. They say 10 business days, so remember the weekends don’t count. If you’re lucky enough to get accepted for an express mission then you’re Guaranteed to to get paid in eight days. But good luck because if you answered literally one single question wrong and it could be an accident even, you immediately get disqualified from the Study ,you have no chance to go back and correct your answer that’s it. It’s over it disappears and you don’t get another chance. Also, some of the researchers if you finish a study, take their time before they process your payment so it’s not only dscout. It’s the researchers. Two studies lately both about 3 to 5 days ago and the researcher has not processed the payment yet telling me they are still. Doing the study with other people and when it closes or when they finish reviewing All the different peoples submissions then they will process the payment. So that is the payment process even longer as if these guy wasn’t long enough they stretch it out even longer. i’m grateful for this that even to this day for everything I’ve been able to experience ,the money I’ve made, the people I’ve met, but they really need to make some improvements. I really hope they listen to my ideas and recommendations. It’s just an honest dscout user of over one year who’s made over $3000. It’s been a couple of times where my express mission was denied for absolutely no reason and was never given an that is rare to happen. And remember the express missions don’t pay as much but I still do there’s something but they’re just hard to get accepted to as the regular studies. You literally have to apply to every single one. And you have to do very good on your interview. Speak very well dressed nicely. It’s like an actual interview for a job to get accepted for one of these missions. Cause this is the best advice I can give you, coming from a very experienced scout (dscout user). You have to have a Little patience And be persistant But you will get Accepted for studys and express Missions. I know it can be frustrating but with persistence ive Made $2489 in my First three months.
