## What is DSM Video?

Your  NAS is packed with movies and TV shows. DSM Video is the app built to watch them — a fast, native experience on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV.                       
                                                                                                                        
  Synology dropped Video Station support on current DSM firmware. If you've kept your NAS up to date, you lost your video app. DSM Video fills that gap. It connects to DSVideoServer, a free lightweight package you install on your Synology, and gives you a fully native media player that feels like it belongs on your Apple devices.

This update makes getting connected simpler and keeps your library ready to play.

SIMPLER SETUP
Connecting to your NAS is now a single, clear screen — choose Tailscale, a direct address, or QuickConnect. When you enter an address directly, the app also scans your local network and offers any servers it finds, so you can tap instead of type.

ALWAYS READY TO PLAY
Newly added videos are now converted automatically in the background to the format that plays back fastest, with no setup required. While a title is being prepared, the app lets you know.

PLAYBACK FIXES
• Fixed the scrubber and seeking on transcoded video so the timeline and skip controls are accurate.
• Improved reliability for MKV and AVI titles with the latest server update.

Plus general interface polish and refinements throughout.
