Having that mindful reminder of picking up the phone is definitely helpful. However, I will not be continuing to use the app because of the subscription pricing. Productivity is definitely something I am willing to pay for, but it is hard to swallow this price when competing apps are available for significantly smaller single time purchases. ### 3/5 — Advice required *2024-10-14* Hi, Trust you are great. I used to love and use this app all the time. I just bought the yearly membership, and the app is crashing every single time I open it. Is the app becoming obsolete with lack of updates, or? Why is this happening? There is nothing else like it on the market and an objectively great app- it just doesn’t work and I would like it too. ### 3/5 — Needs improvement. It’s good but not yet great *2023-09-27* This app has helped me to stop using my phone with the vibration notification when I go pick it up. It somehow tells my brain to stop in my tracks and let go of the phone. The only thing with it is that, it works only in the beginning. Later in the day when I go pick up my phone and I find myself in the Lock Screen or in the actual screen itself where the apps are it no longer vibrates. I have to go manually and turn it on again which I have found to be tidious. If somehow it would manage to always stay on until I manually turn it off I would change my rating to 4 stars. Because of this problem I may not subscribe . I have looked everywhere for an app similar like this but I haven’t found it. As far as I know it’s the only one of its kind. Please update it because the concept is there it just needs a little improvement here and there. That’s all. ### 3/5 — Fantastic idea but battery life *2021-09-20* Love this approach. Really novel and with enough interruption to change behaviour. Sadly the battery drain – if you're using it frequently - is just too great. Would also be nice to have a way to 'end' the sessions automatically if they started automatically, eg. if I haven't touched my phone for an hour then would be nice to allow some more time before nudging me again. ### 4/5 — Great if it worked *2023-10-07, version 2.1* Don’t get me wrong, DTCH’s concept is great, except it doesn’t work. I’ve tested it, it won’t vibrate. It also randomly “re-engages” and then when I check the DTCH app, it shows my report. I don’t know what’s happening, please fix this. ### 4/5 — Suggestion for Improvement *2021-07-03* I like the concept. You should add a feature that blocks apps on the phone while using Detach. Also, the blocking feature can be locked (prevent the user from bypassing) by using the time. For example, from 10am-12pm the user cannot go on Instagram while in detach mode. ### 5/5 — I’m a be Honest! *2021-06-04* As a musician, I usually get distracted on social media while I’m writing, so this app really helps me stay focused on completing my tasks. This app definitely keeps me grounded! ### 5/5 — Very necessary *2021-06-02* I was skeptical that the vibration would deter you from using the phone but it definitely works!! This is an essential app if you’re looking to increase your productivity or increase your presence around love ones.
