### 4/5 — AI is not accurate

*2025-02-24, version 7.3.7*

I loved this product and decided to redownload and saw the virtual coach option and was pretty excited except in river spots and others where the open AI has the positions reversed or just regurgitated what lever it said on the last street.

For one example on the river with I believe ATss HJ vs Button on a A high dryish runout I decided to bet river after a bet Check line.

I bet river and it was labeled as inconsistent, so I clicked coach and it advised me against betting this river because I have to fold to a “check raise”. The button is never check raising and it offered me advice for in position play when I was the raiser in a SRP.

This is just one instance of the top of my head, I like the product but it needs oversight and it seems lazy to just plug in an AI here.

### 2/5 — Ranges doesn’t work

*2024-08-06, version 7.2.0*

I was exited to explore the ranges corresponding to each play. When I click on range, a blank screen shows up. This renders the pro version useless. Not happy about paying for an app that doesn’t work

### 4/5 — Good but quirky

*2024-05-12, version 6.3.3*

Great for 6 handed scenarios, though that does translate very well into most live poker scenarios. In addition it’s often very short stacks in general so it’s good for tournament play, hence the name. The small issues I’ve encounter have to do with the interface. The login often “forgets” and requires resigning in, which doesn’t use any of the native abilities to remember username and passwords. The username and password field don’t allow cut/paste on apple so you have to manually type in your credentials, small stuff, but it really makes it clunky.

### 2/5 — Video issues

*2023-10-18, version 3.6.5*

Zero videos will play. ipad M1 12.9”
Opens then closes instantly.
Stay away if you have a M1 or other newer A chipsets.

### 2/5 — No Video?

### 5/5 — Good trainer

*2023-09-04*

The free post flop training is good. Haven’t bought full because it’s really expensive, but I’m sure if I were a more serious player it might be worth it.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the kind words, Dinosaur!

### 5/5 — DTO is world-class training software

*2023-06-28, version 3.6.5*

It’s hard to put into words what DTO has done for my game in such a short time. Without rambling too much, DTO does one thing very well: it teaches you HOW to win. It might show you things don’t make sense right away or things you don’t agree with but ultimately it is showing you the most optimal way to proceed in thousands of post-flop scenarios. If you’re not getting value out of DTO within 30 days then you’re misusing the app, period. Highly recommend for poker players of ANY skill level. Whether you understand GTO play or not. It can only help your game so why not use it?

### 5/5 — Love it

*2023-06-18, version 3.6.5*

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Must be me

*2023-11-14, version 3.6.5*

Installed app, free subscription, but unable to see any videos or explanations why I made an error.

### 1/5 — Awful design

*2023-08-15, version 3.6.5*

Everything‘s so small, I can barely read anything. There‘s so much empty space, you could easily double the size and there would still be room to spare. Don‘t pay for this app unless you have eagle eyes.

### 1/5 — Buyer Beware

*2023-06-29, version 3.6.5*

Ranges are much too loose. Continuation bet recommendations not optimal. Range and hand explanations/suggestions non-existent. Mobile app crashes often after completing hand option. Confusing user interface. I bought a one year subscription based off recommendation I found in a GTO book and overwhelming positive reviews. Suggest buy a one month subscription and try it before committing to a year. I tried to cancel my subscription after about 10 days. No refund. Much better apps out there.

### 1/5 — One big limitation

*2023-06-10*

Like every other GTO trainer I’ve seen, DTO has one fatal flaw: It’s evaluating you based on how you’re playing against the specific hand your opponent has, not against the range of hands they could have. It’s telling you what the “right” play is based on information you couldn’t possibly have. What’s right against one particular hand could be completely wrong against a realistic range. If you take the evaluations at face value, you’re fooling yourself.

**Developer response:** Hey,
In fact all of our strategy recommendations take into account every possible hand both you and your opponent could have. As well as stacksize and potsize.

This is the fundamental theory behind any gto trainer. Your opponents hand is only used to simulate a poker hand. It does not influence the right decision.

### 1/5 — The create account link is broken...

*2021-12-09, version 3.6.5*

It kicks you out of creating an account as soon as you go to type in the emailed verification code...then the app daily limit window pops up and ends the account creation ability. RIP

### 1/5 — Bad ipad support

*2021-08-03, version 3.6.5*

Will constantly exit back into the list of spots when doing some training!

### 1/5 — Worst training app

*2020-10-13, version 2.8.5*

few sizings, seems not accurate solutions, impossible to play hand till the end, expensive. Would rather recommend postflop+

### 1/5 — Bug

*2020-09-09, version 2.8.5*

The board and the font doesn’t fit on my iPhone and is all cluttered and it’s impossible to play hands.

### 1/5 — Visibilité

*2020-02-28, version 2.0.8*

L’application a l’air très intéressante mais la lisibilité des ranges est juste désastreuse ! Quel gâchis franchement !

### 1/5 — Too expensive

*2020-01-06, version 1.8.2*

Too expensive. Questionable simulations.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great practice

*2024-05-10, version 6.3.3*

I just have the free version but it is a great tool to practice with

### 5/5 — Best study tool

*2024-04-13, version 6.0.9*

This is the best study tool on the market hands down, my game has grown leaps and bounds thanks to DTO.

### 5/5 — Jon

*2024-04-05, version 6.0.9*

Excellent training on here. Even the free version will keep you learning for ages

### 5/5 — Rec Player

*2024-03-27, version 6.0.9*

For my level of play this app is worth every penny! Playing against other bad players with the knowledge I’ve gained has helped relieve so much stress in so many situations and allowed me to play so much more balanced. I know what to do and when I’m supposed to do it. Again I’m not going after the regs, I’m going after the other rec players at the table. I’m playing mostly online 1/2

### 5/5 — Love it

*2024-03-14, version 6.0.9*

Improving my game in those moments i would be doing nothing productive. Love it!

### 5/5 — Dto

### 5/5 — Good trainer

*2024-01-06, version 6.0.9*

The free post flop training is good. Haven’t bought full because it’s really expensive, but I’m sure if I were a more serious player it might be worth it.
