## What is DTX700 Touch?

DTX700 Touch enables you to take full control of the Yamaha DTX700.
It features a newly designed user interface that offers quick and easy access to the parameters that will let you build your dream kit. Now there is no limit to your creativity. 

"Kit Finder" function enables you to quickly and easily play-along with you favorite songs. Select a song from your music library via Kit Finder and it can suggest a Preset Kit suitable for that song. 

"Data Manager" function enables you to download and install new User Kits directly from YAMAHADTX.com. Additionally Data Manager allows you to backup DTX700 data to your iOS device. 

* In order to connect DTX700 with App, it requires Lightning to USB Camera Adapter/Camera Connection Kit/etc. and firmware upgrade for DTX700.

I like the way the app allows me to change the settings fairly quickly.  Although the module interface is pretty easy too.  i think the only confusing part is figuring out if I need a Yamaha DTX account or not.  It appears you don't need an account.  The other thing that is confusing is the pads vs trigger language.  It gets easier if you use it often.  It was cool to download more kits from dtxdrums.com.  I think the fact that it won't rotate if you turn your screen is super annoying, especially on the ipad.  The sounds of the actual drums are seriously amazing.

I like this app with the exception that it doesn’t rotate to landscape mode. When I have the iPad on a music stand , of course the cable is in the way.
