Characteristics of the information society: 
There are four basic characteristics of the information society that we review as follows:
•	The first characteristic is the use of information as an economic resource where enterprises and companies use and utilize information to increase their efficiency, to develop innovation and innovate and to increase their efficiency and competitiveness by improving the quality of goods and services they provide, and there is a growing trend Towards the creation of information companies that add large amounts of value and thus improve the macro economy of the State and that means the use of information as an essential investment resource in activities and industries and this implies the integration of information into the infrastructure of the institutions to help to improve their performance and functioning.

•	The second characteristic: the growing use of information among the general public, people use information as an intensive in their activities as consumers and they also use information as citizens to exercise their rights and responsibilities, as well as to create information systems that expand the availability of education and culture For all members of society, and thus information becomes an indispensable element in the daily life of any individual.

•	The third characteristic: the intensive use of information and communication technologies in the various facets of human activity.

•	The fourth characteristic: the emergence of the information sector as an important sector of the economy, if economists traditionally divide economic activity into three sectors: agriculture, industry and services... , Since the 1960s, economists and information have added a fourth sector, the information sector, where the production, processing and distribution of information has become a major economic activity in many flag States.
