## What is Duck Day?

Duck Day tells teachers and school staff whether the weather will disrupt break time, before it happens.

Add your school's break times once. Duck Day checks the hour-by-hour forecast for your exact location and sends a heads-up before each break if rain, storms, strong wind, snow, heat, cold or high UV are on the way. No more peering out of the window at 10:25 wondering whether to call wet play.

BUILT FOR SCHOOLS
• Starter timetables for UK primary and secondary, New Zealand, Australian and US schools
• Names that make sense: morning break, lunch, afternoon play, morning tea, recess
• Sensible defaults for your region, with every threshold adjustable per break
• Works anywhere in the world with Google's weather data

HOW IT WORKS
• Set your school's location by town, postcode or school name
• Add or adjust your recess times
• Optionally import PE lessons and events from your calendar
• Duck Day pulls hourly forecasts for the next week and daily forecasts for ten days
• A color-coded timeline shows the weather during each break
• Choose a morning summary time and how early to receive break alerts, or turn either off

FEATURES
• Timeline view of today's and upcoming breaks with weather at a glance
• Weather alerts: rain, heavy rain, thunderstorms, strong wind, snow, heat, cold and UV
• Rain chart showing hourly rain chance, rainfall and temperature across the week
• Rain radar for your area
• Home screen widgets for your next break, today's breaks and the weekly forecast
• Celsius or Fahrenheit

Duck Day is free, with no account required and no pupil records requested. It includes recommendations for other Grossard Education products. Made by Grossard Education, the independent education software company behind Tudio and Mappen.
