## What is DudesChat?

DudesChat is where gay and bisexual men come to meet, talk, and feel at home.

Looking for friends, dates, or just good conversation? DudesChat helps you find verified & real dudes near you and get to know the person behind the profile — no noise, no games, no empty profiles.

SHOW YOUR MOOD
Post your status and see what the community's up to in a live feed. Let people know if you're up for chatting, making plans, or just saying hi.

REAL CONVERSATIONS
Private one-to-one messaging with text, photo, voice, and video messages. Break the ice and take things at your own pace — discreet notifications let you know when someone writes, without showing who or what.

MEET THE GUYS NEARBY
See who's around with location-based discovery, and browse real profiles built around who people actually are — their vibe, their interests, and what they want.

BREAK THE ICE
Share the music, shows, games and more you're into with Favorites — an easy way to start a conversation that isn't "hey."

HEALTH & RESPECT
DudesChat is a sexual-health-forward community. Share what matters to you, keep your details private, and connect with people who value the same.

PRIVACY YOU CONTROL
Your exact location is never shared — only approximate distance. You decide what's visible and who can reach you.

A SAFER COMMUNITY
Every member is 18+. Report tools are one tap away, and our team acts on reports quickly to keep DudesChat welcoming for everyone.

SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work after setup

*2026-09-30*

After setup and close/reopen app, will not load any content. Reinstall doesn’t help.

**Developer response:** Profiles are manually checked before we show any content. It can take a few hours to get the initial approval.

We ensure user are real and invest a maximum of our resources into spam-, scam- and catfish prevention. But that comes at the price of some initial wait times. We hope you reconcider your rating once the profile is approved.

### 5/5 — Best chat

### 5/5 — Something new

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.5 — 2026-10-30

Now in German.

THE WHOLE APP, IN GERMAN
Set your language in the menu, or let the app follow your phone — screens, menus, dates and times all move with it.

ALWAYS ON THE LATEST
The app tells you when a newer version is in the store and opens it in one tap.

Plus a clearer email confirmation and fixes under the hood.

### 1.2.4 — 2026-10-25

Closer to home. Clearer conversations.

LOCAL THAT MEANS LOCAL
Every Dude now sits in a metro area — your city and the belt that commutes into it — so Discover and Search show the guys who are actually around.

MAPS YOU CAN OPEN
Tap a shared location to see the area full screen and zoom right in.

VOICE NOTES THAT PLAY
They work with the ring switch off, and come out of the speaker after recording.

YOUR PROFILE, YOUR CHOICE
Sections you switch off stay hidden — from other Dudes and from Search.

Plus sharper Search filters, a friendly retry when a photo won't send, and some smller bug fixes.

### 1.2.3 — 2026-10-13

Sharper photos. Smoother everything.

PHOTOS THAT LOOK RIGHT
Profile and album photos load faster and stay crisp on every screen.

PINCH TO ZOOM
Two fingers on any photo, and you're in close.

STRAIGHT FROM YOUR IPHONE
HEIC and HDR photos upload with their quality intact.

ALBUM VIDEOS GET A COVER
Videos in albums show a preview tile instead of a blank square.

SEE WHO'S AROUND
A dot marks members who were online recently. Supporters also get a notification when someone visits their profile.

Plus a calmer keyboard, a livelier Messages list, and camera fixes.

### 1.2.2 — 2026-10-05

Your conversations, upgraded.

ONE BUTTON, EVERYTHING
Photos, videos, voice notes and your private albums — all from one send button.

REPLY TO ANY MESSAGE
Reply, copy, report or delete. Supporters can also edit and unsend.

SHARE WHERE YOU ARE, ROUGHLY
Send a 100 m, 500 m or 1 km area — never your exact spot, and only when you choose to.

KEEP SCROLLING
The feed and your conversations load as you go, and search finds any chat.

AT A GLANCE
Every message shows when it was sent. Supporters also see when it was read.

Plus a smoother video recorder, and fixes across conversations.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-30

No release notes.
