## What is DueDog?

The parcel that arrived yesterday has a return window. The receipt in your bag
has a warranty. Photograph either one right after you buy, the paper receipt
as readily as the order confirmation still on your screen, and DueDog files it
as a purchase with its deadlines. Contracts and penalty notices work the same
way. Every one of them has a date by which you have to decide, and almost none
of them reminds you. You confirm what the app read, the app reminds you in
time. No upload, no account.

PURCHASES

Purchases are the everyday case. The list opens on All, the most urgent
deadline first.
Photograph the paper receipt, or take a screenshot of the order page in the
shop's app and pick it from Photos. One image is enough. DueDog reads shop,
date and amount; you pick the return window and the warranty from the usual
options, and the app counts the days to the last one. The deadlines are
always your choice: the app never claims to know what the law says.

CONTRACTS

Car insurance, broadband, the gym, the router you rent. Photograph the
contract or the renewal letter, or share a PDF into the app. DueDog reads
provider, start date, renewal and notice period, works out the real cut-off
date and reminds you early enough to act: cancel, renegotiate, or let it run
on because you decided to.

FINES

Photograph the penalty notice and confirm the day it arrived. From that day
DueDog counts the days, shows the last day to pay or to challenge it, and
reminds you a week, three days and a day before. You pick the deadline from
the usual options; DueDog counts conservatively and is not legal advice.

IN UNDER A MINUTE

1. SCAN. The camera, a picture from your library, or a PDF shared from Mail
or Files. Text recognition runs for English, German and Spanish at the same
time.

2. CONFIRM. The app shows what it understood, field by field, and marks
which values came from the model. You fix whatever is off and save. Nothing
is stored without your go-ahead.

3. GET REMINDED. Reminders before the day, and an entry in your calendar if
you want one.

NOTHING LEAVES THE IPHONE

A receipt carries what you bought and what you paid; a contract carries your
name, your address, your customer number and sometimes your bank details.
DueDog sends none of it anywhere: text recognition and Apple's
on-device language model both run on the phone itself. There is no server
receiving your documents, because there is no server. No account, no
analytics, no ads, no cloud sync. The privacy label says "Data Not
Collected" because that is the only label that matches how the app is built.
Scanning, analysing, saving and being reminded all work in airplane mode.

THE AI SUGGESTS, YOU DECIDE

The model reading your document is small and runs on a phone battery. It
gets most things right and some things wrong: it can mistake the signature
date for the start date, or read the wrong total off a receipt. That is why
every result appears first as an editable suggestion and is only saved once
you confirm it. Money rides on a deadline, so the last word is always yours.

WHAT IT COSTS

Scanning, saving and the standard reminders are free, for purchases, contracts
and fines alike, with no limit and no subscription. A one-time lifetime unlock
adds the month view, which answers what runs out this month; reminder points
you set yourself; and the PDF export of your contracts and deadlines. If the
app saves you a payment you no longer wanted, you can leave a tip from the
settings. Tips are voluntary and unlock nothing.

REQUIREMENTS

DueDog needs an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, running iOS 26,
with Apple Intelligence enabled in Settings. The language model is part of
iOS, so there is nothing to download and no key to enter.

Questions or problems: support@freshlab.es. We answer in English, Spanish
and German. Please do not email us your documents; we do not need them to
help, and we would rather not have them.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6 — 2026-10-02

New: what a contract costs.

Contracts and subscriptions now know their costs: what you pay once at the start, the amount per charge, how often you are charged, and a free or offer period at the beginning. From that, DueDog works out the first full charge, what adds up by the end of the minimum term, and what is likely still left to pay under the contract. The list shows the amount per month, and above your contracts you see roughly what they all cost together each month. DueDog never sees your bank account; what counts is the contract.

Also in this version:

• When a free month or an offer price ends, DueDog reminds you three days and one day before, with the amount of the first full charge. This reminder is free.
• Contracts that renew on their own now keep their reminders coming year after year, for every new period.
• The contract form speaks plainly: everyday words instead of jargon, and a short line under each field saying what goes there. And it says "1 month", not "1 months".
• The save button sits on its own background, so the form no longer shows through while you scroll.
• Locked features explain themselves with a tap: a short sheet shows what the one-time unlock includes, with the price, buy and restore.
• If DueDog ever can't reach your saved entries, the list says so clearly instead of looking empty.

### 1.5 — 2026-09-25

New: penalty notices.

Next to purchases and contracts, DueDog now handles a third kind of document.
Snap the notice or enter it by hand, and confirm the day the letter arrived.
From that day on, DueDog counts the deadlines, for example to pay or to
challenge it. Usual deadlines for some countries are offered as a suggestion;
what counts is always the letter itself. DueDog reminds you one week, three
days and one day before.

Also in this version:

• Four tabs, always visible: All, Purchases, Contracts and Fines. The app opens
on All.
• Expired purchases and settled fines gather in a collapsed section below the
list. Nothing is deleted.
• Swipe a fine to the right to mark it as settled. A tap on Undo right after
takes it back.
• It now correctly says "1 day left".

### 1.4 — 2026-09-04

Appearance is now a choice.

A new row in Settings: System, Light or Dark, for DueDog only. It applies at
once and across the whole app; the system-wide setting in iOS stays as it was.

Also in this version:

• A quiet card at the top of the list shows when a newer version of DueDog is on
the App Store. It only appears when a newer version is actually known, and it is
never a window in your way.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-02

Your next deadline now lives on the home screen.

DueDog comes with a widget: "Next deadline". The small size shows the deadline
that runs out first, the medium size the next three, and on the lock screen it
shows the days left until the first one. Tapping it opens the entry in the app.
On a locked device the names stay hidden; the number of days stays visible,
because it gives nothing away. Like the rest of the app, the widget needs no
account, and nothing it shows leaves your iPhone.

Also in this version:

• On the detail screen the deadline is back at the top, ahead of the facts, the
reminders and the photo.
• "Export this deadline" exports that one contract instead of the whole list.
• A row can be deleted from the list itself: press and hold, delete, with the
same confirmation as on the detail screen.
• Saving and deleting can now be felt.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-31

A new name, the same app — and the reason for it.

In the store, DueDog was named after cancellation deadlines. What people
actually use it for is what they just bought: photograph the receipt while you
are still in the shop, or the order confirmation while it is still on screen.
That settles the return window and the warranty, and the app counts the days.
So from this version it is called "Receipts & Warranty".

Nothing inside the app changes. Contracts, notice periods, the month view, the
PDF export and every reminder are all still there, and nothing you have saved
is touched.

One other new thing: after a while of using it, the app asks once whether you
would rate it. Not at launch, not in the middle of a scan, and at most once a
year.
