The pixel art is gorgeous and evocative with unique factions and units that just beg to be played. Blitz is a fun rendition that ports well to mobile and offers quick and snappy games. Unfortunately the monetization is somehow way worse than the original which makes a game that was never all that popular even harder to get into… how hard would it be to make packs actually worth buying, even the gold price is higher than it used to be! I can say with confidence that this mobile version of duelyst is optimized, functional, and doesn’t overheat my phone like crazy when playing like previous attempts of a mobile duelyst.
