### 2/5 — '

*2026-07-22, version 3.1.8*

Mouse troppo lento

### 4/5 — Really useful app

*2026-07-06, version 3.1.8*

I use this everyday, a very useful app. There are some occasions where it doesn’t fire up straight away, if it overcame that then I would give it the full 5 stars

### 2/5 — Have never fully used it because of errors

*2026-07-02, version 3.1.8*

I keep trying but never been able to complete setup

### 1/5 — No you have to pay for it

*2026-06-24, version 3.1.8*

This sucks you can you have to pay for it and it should be free because I was dumb little app

### 1/5 — Hate the new version!

*2026-06-22, version 3.1.8*

I’ve been using duet display for years to make my iPad a second display. When I logged in today, I was instructed to upgrade the Windows version and now all I get is a mirrored display… No second display.

The lack of instructions or manual is frustrating. I’m a former director of IT, so not a novice. With a presentation coming up this week, I cannot tell you how frustrated I am.

### 3/5 — Why?

*2026-06-19, version 3.1.8*

Costs way too much when you’re just using your own cable for it

### 1/5 — Used to be great

*2026-06-09, version 3.1.7*

Now just a greedy cash grab with bs accounts and all kinds of hoops and bloatware. The point of this app was to support old equipment to use as another monitor. They no longer do this. They completely lost their way. YOU EVEN NEED AN ACCOUNT FOR LOCAL WIRED CONNECTIONS NOW. Totally scummy.

Their ‘support’ is a useless AI that you will go back and forth with until eventually you might reach a person who will ignore everything you’ve said and then tell you there’s no longer support for older devices, which again defeats the entire original stated purpose of this app.

### 2/5 — Vert Delayed on IPad….

*2026-06-09, version 3.1.7*

I find the delay over wifi intolerable, and when it is hard wired, simpler bearable. Not worth what I just paid for it. Hopefully it improves before I have to renew. Or I will not be.

### 1/5 — No idea how it got such a high rating

*2026-06-01, version 3.1.7*

Doesn’t work, and trying to figure out why keeps taking you to an array of nag screens to get you to pay an overpriced subscription.
Also if there is a page on their website to delete your account, it isn’t linked to from either the main page or the account page or anywhere else I looked.

### 1/5 — Used to be great

*2026-05-26, version 3.1.7*

Now just a greedy cash grab with bs accounts and all kinds of hoops and bloatware. The point of this app was to support old equipment to use as another monitor. They no longer do this. They completely lost their way.

### 1/5 — Scummy, obstructive, expensive

*2026-05-23, version 3.1.6*

They require you to login. Fair enough but still inconvenient. The free version is essentially useless. Ok. They make it incredibly hard to delete your account. Scummy.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Constant disconnects

*2026-08-26, version 3.1.10*

Constantly having issues connecting to my computer. I’ve had this service a few years ago, and today I am still experiencing the same issues on a newer computer and two generations of iPhones later

### 1/5 — Immediate subscription required. HARD PASS!

*2026-08-07, version 3.1.9*

Posting the app for free and requiring immediate subscription is sketchy as hell.

### 1/5 — Pricing

*2026-08-04, version 3.1.9*

Subscription instead of single purchase is only worth it if there is evolution in the features of the product. I just need an app for external display, nothing fancy enough to justify paying for it over and over again.

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2026-08-01, version 3.1.9*

Never stays in landscape mode always glitches out. Very bad product. Do not buy look for free alternatives.

### 1/5 — Straight cheeks

*2026-07-20, version 3.1.8*

App sucks won’t connect don’t download it

### 1/5 — Can’t be extended

*2026-07-17, version 3.1.8*

Just mirror

### 1/5 — macbook app does not open

*2026-07-15, version 3.1.8*

macbook app is not running. its incredible. i hit on on the app but nothing

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-07-05, version 3.1.8*

Add said three dollars a month, I got charged 36 and it won’t work between my ROG Xbox Ally X and my IPad Pro. Would not recommend.

### 1/5 — Disgusting company

*2026-06-29, version 3.1.8*

When I originally paid for this app, it was a one time payment. I haven’t used it for quite a while, but to my surprise, it is now a subscription service and they want me to pay monthly? And the free version you can only connect for 30 minutes at a time? HAHAHAHA absolutely losers, deleted the app immediately you will not be getting a dime of my money. “one time purchase” should’ve actually mean you only purchase it one time and not later on become a subscription. The developers of this should be disgusted with themselves. Anti consumer slop.

### 1/5 — Выброшенные деньги

*2026-06-24*

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excellent Product

*2026-08-04, version 3.1.9*

Recommended. I’ve been searching for a trustworthy (and reliable) Clipboard app for months. DUET is so many things. Saved me from buying two monitors and my bus drives remain free too.

The Fine Print is well written - freed my mind of my own curiosities. And Echo is a massive workflow improvement. Certainly already paid for itself and I trust it.

### 5/5 — I use it daily

*2026-07-31, version 3.1.9*

Awesome, I’ve been waiting for something like this for a long time. I use it as a dedicated headless display for my mini PC in conjunction with my iPad. I have it set to auto launch at startup. I generally opt for a wired connection when I’m gaming for stability, but sometimes I operate wirelessly while on the go. The connection is generally great, but I have experienced some lag when trying to game wirelessly, most likely attributed to network speeds. I keep the resolution and settings maxed to prioritize quality, so it could be as simple as lowering those. All in all, it’s awesome and by far the best solution I’ve come across. The integration is seamless.

I have a lifetime Duet Pro license, which was an expensive initial investment, but definitely worth it for my needs.

### 5/5 — Some of the Best App Support I have encountered

*2026-07-21, version 3.1.8*

I bought Duet 10 years ago and used to use it a lot when I was away from home to make my IPad a 2nd Screen for my Laptop. A couple of years ago I stopped doing this. Recently I got a new IPad so thought I’d try the App again. No surprise I’d lost my password and sign in and trying for a new password reset didn’t seem to work. Anyhow I contacted support and after a bit of work by them and me to track down my original app purchase I have it up and running again. My 5 stars is because the App is good, reliable and useful PLUS the helpful, clearly explained support made the time and effort with me to get me back up and running again. This kind of patient and helpful support is a rare beast these days so well done the DUET support desk.

### 5/5 — Great

*2026-07-11, version 3.1.8*

Great

### 5/5 — Churry Lafuente

*2026-07-04, version 3.1.8*

Love it
New update works fast and lag free.
Windows and mac
Well done duet team.
Thanks again

### 5/5 — Just works

*2026-07-04, version 3.1.8*

Pure and simple, among my best app purchases

### 5/5 — Fantastic customer service

*2026-06-26, version 3.1.8*

I use the free version of Duet and have done so for a long time. I have also mentioned it to a lot of people as it has been such an excellent solution to using my iPad as a second screen while travelling and they see it. It is better than continuity which is patchy and Duet is rock solid, or it has been. This is all context. I ran into a problem recently where the mouse cursor position did not line up with the desktop on the external (Duet) iPad display. I contact support really expecting a long wait, possibly an AI response and perhaps even a reticence to help given I am not a "paying" customer. Huge pleasurable surprise, they asked for some info which I provided and they immediately had a solution that works. That is customer service that I can rave about, talk to a real person, get quick response and they did not dodge the question. Thank you, one of the best customer service experiences I have had in a while. Call it old fashioned but it works! I said above “it has been” rock solid. At some point things go wrong and in this case the response was brilliant, cannot rave about this enough.

### 5/5 — Vertical iPad as Second Monitor

*2026-06-19, version 3.1.8*

For the life of me I can’t figure out why Mac doesn’t allow vertical orientation for sidecar. No problem, I just use duet display. It allows me to use my iPad as second monitor in vertical orientation, and with good picture and no lag (I prefer wired connection). Works as advertised and the few bugs I had were fixed with a responsive support team. Thanks!

### 5/5 — RIP off

*2026-06-05, version 3.1.7*

Bought this in 2015 in the App Store as a one time purchase, it now requires a subscription to use

### 5/5 — Awesome extra screen.

*2026-05-21, version 3.1.6*

Works very smooth. Absolutely no delays or lags. Literally ended up saving hundreds of dollar I would have spent on a new screen.
