She was able to convey her sense of caring even though we were not in the same room. I’m sure the IT workers worked long hours considering the size of the Duke Hospital Staff transferring to TeleCommuting. I had a uti . My regular doctor wanted me to come in despite the coronavirus pandemic going around. I downloaded this and seen in doctor in a couple minutes for $20. My antibiotics were at the pharmacy and filled within 30 minutes of my virtual visit. So much for getting care urgently. This is a disaster of an app with no help if you call customer service. ### 1/5 — App works fine, providers aren’t great *2020-10-09* The app worked really well and the service desk support was great. The provider service wasn’t great. The provider I worked with didn’t send any follow-up information nor did they submit the Rx in a timely manner. There is no way to contact a provider directly to inquire about issues, either. You have to call a service desk, they have to submit a ticket, and you’re at the mercy of a provider to respond in a timely way. This would be a better program if checks were put in place to ensure providers completed all tasks for one patient prior to seeing others. ### 1/5 — Charged and never saw anyone *2020-03-31, version 11.5.700* They charged me $20 when I waited 3 hours and Dr Sapna decided to log off when my turn was up. Don’t waste your time! *2020-03-24* After waiting OVER 4 hours for the “first available” doctor I am finally “next patient”. But after waiting an hour and a half as the “next” patient I find out by researching online that my doctor has apparently left for today and just left me sitting and waiting. Not a single message, no transfer to another doctor NOTHING!! Wonder if I left this here if when she bothers to show up for work she will find me still waiting. Reading reviews one discovers that you can wait several hours and then get dumped to the back of another line when the doctor you are waiting for up and leaves. Wow!! Not a way to run a business! Won’t bother to be back since Duke doesn’t seem to actually care about patients. ### 2/5 — Frustrating wait *2020-04-10* A few nights ago, I tried for 4 hours to see a doctor via the app, but the app kept closing out on me. Several times, I was next in line to see a doctor when it closed out, and when I got back in, I was back at the end of the line for whomever was next available. I finally cancelled the “appointment,” and had a smooth experience on the website the next morning. I love the concept of the app, and hope the reliability improves with time! (8plus iPhone user) ### 2/5 — Doctor didn’t send the prescription and I broke quarantine to get it *2020-03-21* I waited 2 hours (because one doctor left while I had been waiting in line for over an hour and they sent me to the back of line for the next doctor) and when I finally met with a doctor, she forgot to send the prescription. Now that I am at the pharmacy, I am calling to get support and the wait time is aprox 60 minutes to speak with someone. The attending doctor was a consummate professional, utterly personable and pleasant, and acted swiftly to address my situation. Being sick and uncomfortable enough to try this, I found it simple and quite helpful. Not having to wait for a primary care physician office to open at 8am, and drive to that doctor’s office saved me time. I scheduled my tele-health visit via the Duke Anywhere app around 5:00am and I was finished with my appointment at 5:25am. When you need healthcare, the last thing you want is to be more inconvenienced. This app allowed me to get the care I needed in a timely and efficient manner.
