Frustrating! ### 2/5 — Great Selection, Buggy App *2023-02-07, version 3.7* This app has the best selection of OTR shows I've found, but the bugs in the app make them difficult, if not impossible, to enjoy. When I first downloaded this app years ago, it seemed to work well, but, for some reason, it seems to have got worse over time. The worst problem is that many of the recordings continuously skip back several seconds while they're playing, making them impossible to listen to. Additionally , the navigation is difficult; the controls at the top of the page don't even show up on my iPhone--just a blank white space. After revised app versions and Apple updates it does not work properly. 1) When you pick the app it may or may not start. You have to try again and again until the app starts. 2) once app starts you can pick a show but it will not play…..ever. 3) sometimes it starts and keeps and keeps and keeps skipping ! 4) If all goes well and your listening to a show, you have no control over it FF , REW, Move slider. It has everything! I’ve listened to ALL of Jack Benny and ALL of Burns & Allen and recently remote broadcasts of big big-band music. I’ve learned that it’s touchy and I’ve learned to deal with it. The app keeps crashing as it tries to load content. Based on the overall ratings for the app, I'm surprised it is still available. I really enjoy old Time radio and exploring all the old Time radio there is to offer but as I had it, I noticed that things started to go downhill and things would stop playing and now whenever I go to re-download it again. It won’t even let me open it at all. It just crashes and my phone closes it down immediately. This is very upsetting because I agree with a lot of other people about this this app is so awesome and it would be a shame to have it deleted. I unfortunately can’t give it any stars because right now it doesn’t work at all and I have very strong opinions about people who just abandoned their app I don’t mean to be rude, but it seems like that’s what you’ve done. It seems like you have abandoned this And you’re not even wanting to fix it. I really wish that you would have a change of heart and consider that this app has the biggest selection of old time radio I have seen anywhere else. I think the owner sold it. Then it didn’t work on Android. When I started using my iPhone, I found it at the App Store and downloaded it. It seemed to work fine. But, now after a few months, most of the shows do not play. Worse, the ones that do, keep repeating the beginnings over and over, never progressing. I reinstalled, but just the same. Amazing variety of Old Time Radio helps with PTSD when going to sleep. Love the baseball games from the 30’s - 60’s and the golden era of radio comedies dramas and adventures. If the show skips close out the app then re-open it.. *2021-02-24, version 3.5* I love old time radio show and have bought numerous Old Time Radio hard drives for old computers, MP3 CDs,Audio CDs in the past and finally apps for my smartphone prior to discovering this application. This app isn’t perfect but it has almost every Old Time Radio show imaginable. 10s of Thousands of Hours (probably months maybe years) of Old Time Radio. Over a thousand of hours-episodes of CBS Radio mystery hour, 350 or more episodes of Dragnet over 600 episodes of Gunsmoke. 100s of other OTR (Old Time Radio) Shows!! Yes occasionally a show won’t load but it beats paying $1-$5 for individual shows or listening to Podcasts with annoying advertising.
