## What is DumpWatch?

DumpWatch turns a wired Ring outdoor camera overlooking your dumpster, waste enclosure, or curbside into an illegal-dumping evidence system - built for property managers, HOAs, and commercial sites.

When someone leaves bulky waste and walks away, DumpWatch confirms the event from a before / during / after snapshot sequence and generates a timestamped, tamper-evident evidence packet (PDF) you can attach to a violation notice or hand to code enforcement.

WHY DUMPWATCH
- Proof, not just alerts: every confirmed dump comes with before/after frames and a SHA-256 integrity hash.
- One-tap evidence: export a clean PDF packet in seconds.
- Quiet by design: normal disposals are logged without storing any photos.
- Private: no facial recognition, no audio, no cross-customer data, never auto-shared with any agency.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Connect your Ring account (passwordless - no new password).
2. Point DumpWatch at the camera watching your bin area.
3. Get notified only when a real dump is detected, with the evidence ready to export.

REQUIREMENTS
- A Ring account and a wired Ring outdoor camera (battery cameras are not supported).
- The DumpWatch integration, added from the Ring App Store.
- The Ring App Store, where the integration is added, is available in the United States. For business use (property managers, HOAs, commercial sites).

### 1.0.11 — 2026-08-28

Your sites and activity now refresh on their own while the app is open, instead of only when you reopen the screen.

Changing or attaching a camera asks only for the camera: the site keeps the name and quiet hours it already has. Attaching a camera to an existing site now asks you to confirm it is a wired camera.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-08-27

• Enabling notifications now works. The previous build asked a service we no longer use for a device token and failed with a validation error; DumpWatch now registers the device directly with Apple's push service.
• Notifications about a confirmed incident are delivered to the phone itself, not only by email.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-08-25

• Opening DumpWatch from the Ring app now signs you in on Android. The hand-off could previously lose your session and ask for your email again.
• After linking, you now choose where to continue: this phone, or the web dashboard on a big screen.
• Fixed the launch screen briefly showing the wrong logo.
• Staying signed in now works per device, so using the web dashboard no longer signs you out of the app.

Updated App Store screenshots — they now show the actual app: your sites, the activity feed with a confirmed dump, the before/after evidence view with the exportable PDF, and the alert and privacy settings.

Fixes for people who just linked their Ring account:

• Opening DumpWatch right after linking now signs you in automatically. It no longer asks for an email code you had already gone past.

• "Add a site" now explains why no cameras are listed — whether your Ring link needs renewing, Ring is temporarily unreachable, or the account simply has no cameras yet — and gives you a way forward instead of an empty list.
