### 4/5 — Great game wasted by low frame rate

*2021-12-25, version 1.8.17*

I love this game so much but i donno why wont the developers add 60 fps option to plah this game this is the only thing killing such a potentially top game the frame rate is capped at 30fps and at such age where almost games are running at60fps this game is running behind behind jn terms of experience due to locked frame at 30 fps i dont have a clue why the devs wont satisfy their customers please add 60fps option for this game please turning the power saving on or off doesnt make any difference its always locked at 30fps so i hope the devs work on it to add it in next update cause i hate to see a potentially top game being wasted by bad experience

### 4/5 — DHC

*2020-02-27, version 1.8.17*

I love this game, fun, lots to do.

That said, the commercials are an issue! Not even the fact that I hate to watch commercials either. Here’s the issue: For many months they played, I think they were enterprise commercials. Those commercials would rarely make it to the end, either freezing or eternally skipping & repeating and not giving me credit for watching that mess, even if I kept it on for 10 minutes! Now, I don’t even get commercials because 90% of the time the “file is not compatible” with my iPad. So I almost never get rewards after fights, and have to restart the game half the times that I try to watch the commercials. This wasn’t an issue until recently, so hopefully it can and will be fixed!

### 4/5 — Awesome!

*2020-02-18, version 1.8.17*

Great game and is very similar to Summoners War. It’s fun and easy to learn how to play. I love the way you can change skills of your characters and customize them to do whatever you want them to. This game is awesome in all aspects except for one thing. Whenever I try to open the shop tab, the game sends me a notification saying in-app-purchases not allowed. I have this turned off in case I accidentally purchase something. Once I click “OK” to the notification it returns to the game but instead of everything being fine, I am not allowed to access anything. I can click all the different tabs all day but nothing will work. I have to completely swipe out the game but even then I can’t access the shop without that notification popping up. Please fix this! I’m on Apple by the way. Other than this, the game is awesome!

### 2/5 — Auto fest

*2019-06-04, version 1.7.13*

played for few weeks, game was exciting at first but then u realize 90 percent of it is auto play grinding. The free to play units are good enough to get u into endgame, so it’s not really pay to win. Gems the main currency is pretty obtainable daily but is mostly used to refill energy. U can farm enough summoning disk so you don’t need to buy them either. The 5v5 moba mode is full of bugs and crashes constantly, it also feels like a very watered down league of legends. Basically the end game goal is to get strong enough for the game to play itself, set it on auto and collect the rewards.

I ended up spending a few bucks to support the game and login one day to find I’m banned, not sure what I did but the game got boring fast so no real loss. Anyway that’s my honest review.

### 4/5 — Could be great

*2019-05-21, version 1.6.15*

This game could be really good if they just got the glitches under control. I love how they add in the 5v5 arena option along with being able to play through various levels in the campaign. Although, I have come to a pretty big issue with my leveling since for some reason I’m not able to use fuzzlepuffs (training monsters). I have like 11 of them but for some reason I can’t use them for training. I have contacted support about it about 2 weeks ago, they said they will transfer the issue to their technical department, and I haven’t heard back since. Now my hero capacity is full from all the fuzzlepuffs

### 4/5 — Great game, huge flaw

*2019-02-20, version 1.4.57*

Been playing for about 2 months now, Will piggy back in all the other reviews to say, yes, it is very free to play. You can easily be a top PvP player without spending a dime. Those aspects are put in very very nicely into the game.

Now the issue? How has this game been out for over a year, and they still can’t get their connection issues fixed? I mean, youre looking at at least 1 connection issue every hour. Some days it’s better, some days it’s worse. Mostly you can get over it and ignore this issue, except days like this, event days. Which require you to play hours and hours a day to get a new champion or a way to summon one. But you can’t play if you get a connection error trying to log in for hours and hours. It’s blatantly embarrassing that a game has been out this long and they can’t figure out servers, especially when they have the nerve to release time sensitive events. Absolutely embarassing

### 4/5 — Great graphics but transitions of play could be smoother and very much a play to win setup.

*2018-11-10, version 1.3.47*

I like the diversified player avatars available as well as the detailed graphics. Switching from solo campaigns to 5vs5 I still have not figured out. I have been playing for months so that needs improvement. You can play the solo campaigns without paying but if you want to be competitive at all against other players you have to pay to upgrade your avatars. Doing it by playing through the game will take hundreds if not thousands of hours, not worth that. Overall fun distraction with minor glitches but I definitely don’t enjoy all aspects of the game due to insufficient funding of the game.

### 2/5 — Pay to play... Really!?

*2018-10-20, version 1.3.45*

I am absolutely astounded to the degree of progression that is non existent without paying real money in. I get it. Devs need to make money off their product. But the entirety of this game is seriously fun I like the mash up of multiple genres and I don’t mind the minimalistic design buuut it’s really annoying and frustrating when you need to pay to even enjoy the game..... Please add a variety of ways to progress that are maybe less challenging and I don’t have to spend money to just get through the story. I would really hate to quit playing this because I really love the way this game was made save for the ridiculous amount of money and I time I have to spend just to make it through chapter 4. Please consider this thank you!

### 5/5 — P2W done right

*2018-07-27, version 1.1.39*

Yea it’s p2w, that’s how free games are, that’s the point. This game seems a lot more fair than others like it, at least in that aspect of the rates for everything being the same. Other games increase the rates when you pay money, but this has the same rate throughout, you just get more chances if you pay. The rates are a bit unreasonable, but really not as bad as many games like this, and I like that it doesn’t go all the way to 10* like some games do (Idle Heroes). The way to get stronger is simple, but requires diligence, which is the way I like my games. There are quite a few bugs, even after some patches, but hopefully this game keeps getting content and fixes.

### 5/5 — Not paid 2 win

*2018-07-13, version 1.1.37*

While there are purchases available in game, and they do help you progress faster by giving you more chances to summon and thus more opportunities to get a natural 4/5 Star monster. You have the choice of whether to spend money, or not. If you chose not to spend money. You have the same game as someone who spent. For free. You all know the difference by now, there are many other games out there with similar models. Full of people who complain about the other folks who spend money.

The game itself is a interesting mashup of LOL and SW:SA. It has the whole, summon - level - evolve end with PvE and ways to make your monster and teams stronger and take on more challenging content. Then there is the usual PvP where you can challenge the teams crafted by other players, with a twist. It’s not turn based, so it offers other options to defeat your opponent besides just being faster. Then there is the MOBA where you can take control of your favorite champion and fight with 4 of your friends and a DOTA-like arena against a team of 5 to destroy their Towers and Core before they get yours! Overall an awesome game worth a look if you like to collect/evolve/and fight with a wide array of monsters

### 5/5 — I deleted all my other games on my phone

*2018-07-12, version 1.1.37*

My friends put me on this game and I’ve been hooked since. Love the gameplay and love the visuals, and it’s mad addicting because you want to keep building your champions and then brag about it to your friends. You can def play for free because the developers do a very good job at giving you free gifts on a daily basis. Or you can pay if you are impatient (like me lol) and level up a little quicker. Honestly, to me, having to pay is like supporting the developers and basically complimenting them on how great this game is. Great job, Gamesoft!!

### 2/5 — The game is okay...ish

*2018-07-09, version 1.1.25*

As of the last time I played dungeon hunter champions, I had over 1.2+ energy that is going to take way too long to use up. I personally would suggest a quickmode-type setting for which you can run a mission as many times as you want in an instant; however, you can only utilize this mode after you initially complete the mission (But at the cost of energy of course). This type of setting would not only speed up the pace of the game, but it would make leveling easier for the casual players out there. Also, I spent 30$ on a bundle so I can get a legendary disk but only to be disappointed with the NAT 4 I received. Please change how legendary disks work because that was honestly saddening.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — If you somehow read this comment, trust me on this

*2021-05-06, version 1.8.17*

I have been playing since launch and if you EVER plan to be competitive on this game I HIGHLY SUGGEST to just find another game. This game has made too many mistakes that cannot be fixed. First off, there were many rollback glitches in the beginning where top players abused to get the best characters in the game. There was also an event that allowed players 2 weeks to grind the dragon dungeon to obtain unlimited OP gear that statistically takes around 2+ years of NORMAL FARMING. Many package glitches that allowed players to obtain more they were limited, rate events that were not scaled properly which allowed players to summon nat 5s at an unusually better rate. These were all mistakes they will never plan on redoing. My point is, you will be at an extreme disadvantage that cannot be fixed by even spending thousands in the game. But if you are just a casual... then sure the game is fairly fun. Aside from the lag, the game mechanics are great and was truly a waste of potential.

### 1/5 — Dead

*2021-04-11, version 1.8.17*

DHC was a blast once upon a time. It hasn’t been updated in a year and it’s clear that the motto is to attract new players in hopes they’ll spend money. I have zero problem paying a bit here and there but it’s clear game loft has no intention of doing anything with DHC. Bugs continue to pile up and customer service response is continually “we will forward this to developers” which have other priorities.

A clear example is the game in its current state is overrun by “bugged guilds” of 70-80 low level accounts (guilds are max 30 people) that have exploited an invite error allowing them to have more members. This impacts guild rankings and eventual weekly rewards of gems which are the games most valuable currency.

If you like PVE, play Genshin Impact. If you prefer PvP, play Legends Wild Rift. Otherwise you’re sinking time into a game where your passion and enjoyment isn’t reciprocated by the company behind the game.

### 1/5 — No stars....

*2019-03-05, version 1.5.37*

I’m giving this game no stars, I’ve played since release, I loved this game at release, I’ve had to rebuild my characters 2 times so far and todays patch would be a third, they want us to now follow a path to glory while the devs have led the game on a path to junk...way to much time invest to now have to rebuild teams to kill content I’ve been farming since this happened last patch as well...so was a great game, now it’s junk, don’t sink a penny into this game, just look at the store and anyone can tell gameloft is money hungry, hundreds of dollars for a couple pulls not to mention the rates are the lowest in any gacha style game, if u want a great fun newer gacha style game try, skylanders, or epic seven both are great games with awesome devs, something dhc is lacking, many of players have told devs we didn’t want these changes and they don’t listen even tho this last patch they wanted feedback...they don’t listen, nerfing everything is not always the correct solution....I’m just tired of rebuilding champions to try to stay at end game. I’m over it..

### 1/5 — Don’t bother!

*2019-02-22, version 1.4.57*

I play a lot of mobile games! I downloaded this for the first time today to try it, got 5 mins in (thru tutorial/first battle) and a pop up tells me I’m banned and cannot play! How can I be banned from a game I haven’t even played yet, still in the first 2-5 mins of your introduction! Haven’t even set up an account or tied it to FB, email, nothing! Then there is this long process to go thru so the developers can review my complaint and see if they want to let me play! Well sorry...you just lost a good player, who does pay money for good games and has never been banned from anything! I don’t cheat or boot leg games, I downloaded it from the App Store! I’m not a teenager who doesn’t know how to act, I’m actually a mom who enjoys gaming but I guess I won’t be enjoying your game or spending my money on it! And all my gamer friends, and I have a lot, I will let them know to stay away as well!

### 1/5 — Too grindy for no rewards

*2018-12-07, version 1.3.47*

Been playing it for 2 months now, daily active player. Summoned at least 100 3*-5* tokens with nothing but the same 3* crap over and over not even a single 4*.I also participated in many events and ended up with nothing but a couple k of coins ... that’s it. Nothing drives me to play this unrewarding grindy game anymore as there are many other games that far surpass this one. And don’t listen to the people that say this is not p2w .. it is the most p2w game I ever played. With the crappy drop rates and the limited pulls for free players per day, this is as p2w as a p2w game can be. Free players enjoy grinding months to get your first 4* while paying players who played less than you have a full team of 5*. In addition to the crappy unrewarding gameplay, the game has a sad character model pool. They try to compensate their lack of models by increasing the colors/skins and present them as “elemental” variation. But when you summon 100s of heroes and they all are the same hero just different color, it becomes very easy to just get sick of the repeated boring summons of this game.

### 1/5 — Copy cats. Nothing original. A typical pay2win the some.

*2018-10-20, version 1.3.45*

I’m not a frequent write in the review box because a lot of reviews already exist and I don’t have time to repeat myself to the community. However, this game is a huge disappointment. At first it didn’t seem that bad but I realize this is a complete repeat of Summoners War. I committed time and spent some money ($30) and gave this one a shot. Here is my summary of thoughts after playing for months or so. The developers/owners of this game are Just desperately trying to make money off of something that is very successful. They paid off a few active Youtubers to create a hype and they should have invested more on originality and contents of the game. Be original! instead of piggy back off of someone else’s success and steal their thunder. Get real.

### 1/5 — Downloaded game from App Store, and then banned

*2018-08-05, version 1.1.39*

Literally downloaded the game from the App Store, played for 10 minutes, tried to log on a few hours later and was banned😂. I didn’t interact with anyone, not even sure if I finished the tutorial.

Read through some reviews and it seems like I’m not the first person this has happened to. Hope people see these reviews before they sink their hard earned money into a game that has such a flawed detection system for cheaters. They actually should be embarrassed. Who knows if I would have kept playing the game, admittedly it had promise. And I’ve been willing to sink hundreds of dollars into a game I enjoy playing. I’ll be sure to look for game loft games and I’ll make sure they never see a dime from me. They should be embarrassed.

### 1/5 — Paid2Win Garbage

*2018-07-12, version 1.1.25*

The game’s mechanics prevent incoming f2p players from catching up and the developers know it! There is a bigger variety of in-game currency than there are energy systems. It’s also punishing towards newer players as you look at how the rank system is setup in Arena. Top tier players constantly receive natural rank 4/5 champions for free in addition to large amounts of gem, while newer players receive mediocre champions that can’t even be built to fit into end-game content: Water Spearman, Light Valkyrie, and Fire Monkey King. Thus, this forces players into spending real money if they wish to stand a chance in end-game: Elder Drake 10 and Steel Widow 10. Even after spending a decent amount of money on the game, drop rates for high natural champions are so low and the chances of receiving ineffective champions are so high that it’s not even worth spending dollars on summoning discs. Also, the game hasn’t even been out for 3 months yet and there was already controversy about content creators receiving strong and essential champions from the developers. On top of that, the developers also sponsor the videos of which content creators “unlock” these natural rank 4/5 champions. Despite the developers responding to the controversy quickly by giving away 1,000 gems to the community, they knew well that the game is very Paid2Win and for this exact reason this game is going to fall short of its iOS competitors: Summoners War, Monster Legends, etc.

### 1/5 — Poor Community Outreach

*2018-06-24, version 1.1.21*

This weekend they recently had a big problem and had to rollback accounts. One community sent an announcement saying everyone with the problem would be rolled back and if you have it to stop playing. They actually kept sending these. As official announcements in their discord and in reddit. They ask for a bunch of account information to be sent to them to make the rollback faster.

So people sent the information and got no response. Many hours later, another mod says in chat, no official notification, that there would be no more rollbacks. Everyone can play.

The problem is with no response coming from the original mod that we sent rollback info too, we don’t know who to believe since they are giving opposite messages.

So they give compensation to those that got rolled back, justly so, and then the whole comminity. But not the people who had to stop playing for nearly 24 hours due to their own statements.

To make it worse, if anyone now posts about this on reddit they delete it. So now they are hiding their screwups and continuing to punish people who they messed up with, rather than compensating and getting it over with.

Burning paying customers isn’t proper for any company.

### 1/5 — Reset?

*2018-06-14, version 1.0.59*

I found this while playing Summoners War, friend told me about. Played many of the DH games always a lot of fun. Problem is you pick a server which is already filled with maxed out players, make decisions, and realize you need to reroll. Wait, nope, pay money to win?! RIP. Even if you pay out all you want to you still won’t get past the 6th game board on epic... not enough to grind to raise toons you already invested in. A reset is good ethics on a game where decisions are final and besides that may make even more money off it. It’s like SW meets those champion games, 5v5 is a lot of fun. Will rewrite for reset. Probably end up deleting it if I can only get so far.

Bugs- try typing in the global message system or guild message system hahaha. Want to play 5vs5 wont’t even queue half the time. Try to give guild mates a coin or finish a scenario. Gets worse every time I play. GIVE US RESET

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Slow devs

*2020-01-16, version 1.8.12*

Overall this is one of the best mobile Gacha out there right now with a built in moba that is well balance.
Everything about this game is so great but the huge downfall is the developers or gaming company does not put enough resources to further content. Also the marketing for the game is not the greatest unlike games like summoners war and raid sadly.
Think the worst part about the game in current state is that the screen to screen interphase loading is poor. In game connectivity is also poor. Once they can fix the quality of the game this game would be legendary in the gacha world in my opinion.

Huge potential in this game its quite amazing.

### 5/5 — Don’t listen to 1-star reviews

*2019-10-12, version 1.7.27*

I’ve been playing this for a little over a year now, and I’m still hooked. It’s a great dungeon grinding game that gives you a wide variety of characters to play with. I can’t stand the art of summoners and I hate that most gacha’s are turn based. This is real time fighting and you have control of moving your team! People spout hate about the summon rates in this game, but that’s because they expect a hand out when they spend money. It’s a RNG system for a reason, spending money only guarantees you more chances. You CAN play this game for free and get good characters. They just got a new dev team and I’m hopeful that they will bring great material to the game!

### 5/5 — Very fun game!

*2019-06-05, version 1.7.13*

This game is excellent. It is not pay to win, but will take time and luck to get good characters. Took a bit over a month to be lucky enough to get a 5🌟 character. Was lucky again the next day and scored another.
The 5v5 is great! Same as other 5v5’s, but the character choices are better. I’d only have to complain about the opponent match ups. There seems to be no regard for leaderboard ranks when opponents are selected and frequently, one will face multiple terrible players. Kind of loses the fun when there’s no competition.
My recommendation to new players is to save your star fuzzlepuffs (who named this?) for when you get a good 4 or 5🌟 from a Rare Disk summon.

### 5/5 — I like it!

*2019-04-09, version 1.6.13*

Have been playing about 3 months, love the game and haven’t spent a penny on it. It takes awhile to develop champions ftp but that’s fine by me a good time killer and keeps me entertained! Only complaint is RNG on 4-5 star summons. Have gotten several 4 stars but never a 5 star and I have summoned thousands of champions! Also major pop ups, if you are too quick you accidentally send in purchase requests then have to cancel them. I like the bonus loot option but half the time the paid ads don’t work. That being said the game is really fun, get into a guild ASAP for bonuses!

### 5/5 — Fun game

*2019-04-09, version 1.6.13*

I’ve been playing for about a year now, pretty much daily. The game developers are good about releasing new content and events and game modes to keep everything fresh and expand the overall strategy of gameplay. I don’t spend any money and I’m in one of the top guilds and can hold my own with some of the top players in the game. It definitely helps you progress faster if you spend money, but ultimately it’s not necessary. You can still have fun and be competitive playing the game for free. The community is a lot of fun too. Shout out to Nightingales best guild ever ;)

### 5/5 — Great Game That Isn’t Pay 2 Play

*2019-03-24, version 1.5.49*

I absolutely love this game. I first got it on my PC, and loved it. While there was the option to pay for in game currency I did not find the need to buy anything. You will still get 4-5 star Champions without paying a large amount of money! Most of the other games I have encountered try to get the most amount of money that they can out of you but this game is great because it doesn’t. Also, I love the gameplay. My phone is an old iPhone 6 so much of the time games with good graphics lag a lot. This? No problem. It’s really great to have a game like this that I can play and actually have a lot of fun playing. It doesn’t even have ads! I would like to give a big thanks to the developers of this awesome game ❤️❤️

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2019-03-11, version 1.5.37*

Amazing graphics, mix between League of Legends and WoW, you can receive currencies A LOT faster than any other game I’ve played (which makes it enjoyable) but I haven’t played in about 5-6months and the sniper event obviously has a lot of bugs. Every time I “click” on it the game crashes and every time I play 5v5 now my phones becomes very hot during just one match and I have an iPhone 7s so no it’s not my phone I’ve had games make my phone hot before and they were bigger than DHC so I think you may want to look into that lol still fun to play thought never gets old. 9/10

### 5/5 — I’ve been playing since release and...

*2018-12-20, version 1.4.47*

...I still love this game! Sure there have been some misfires, but the developers are usually quick to fix any issues. Bonus: They listen to players’ concerns too. This is rare and much appreciated. The constant surge of new content gives me something to always look forward to. Update 4 was amazing. It’s not too late to join either! I know some people are discouraged to play a new game by how long it’s been out (because it’ll take forever to catch up), but this game is still super new, and the player base is anticipating even more content to come!

### 5/5 — Wow!

*2018-11-04, version 1.3.47*

I wish I knew this game was different from the other Dungeon Hunters. I just saw the name and passed right by it because the other dungeon hunters were trash. I played the first two and got bored. But this feels different. I like the music and atmosphere. And theres a moba battle to this app??? This is like a moba having story mode. The characters are enjoyable and abundant and the game has a mechanic to that tells you what is worth leveling and not. As for the summoning rates, I see people bashing it saying its pay to win but I am just gona grind out for the year and see where I am from there. I love this app.

### 5/5 — Fun but not time consuming

*2018-08-09, version 1.2.27*

Shout out to DorkLessons for telling me about this game.
It's fun. It entirely possible to get to the end game content without spending a dime on the game. Some of the best champs to have are entirely free and readily available. The offers are generally pretty good for the progression they offer but are not necessary to progress. They will speed that progression up exponentially but are not actually needed. The game has had a few bugs and the game team and their customer service has been very good about getting them sorted. GameLoft might well be the most in touch developer I have experienced.
The game play is interesting, as you can auto play quite a bit. Or you can physically control one of your champions. The 5v5 PvP is true PvP. Not the computer controlled skins most mobile games use.
Over all a fun, involved game that doesn't require hours and hours a day to progress.
