The actual app works as intended. It doesn’t have a tone of features, but for simple maps and encounters it would work for my needs at this time. It’s a little cumbersome that I have to repick whatever tile I was using when I switch to pan or erase and then back to tile. But I can get over that. 

My big issue though is I have no option to download my maps. It also has an issue loading my maps unless I make a new map, save it, then go home and click load maps, then all my maps come up. I see on the images here it has an option, but I do not have that option. Not sure if it’s a compatibility issue with iPhone or what, but that would be great if it would be addressed. I don’t have the option to make an account or anything or purchase a map from the Home Screen. So I’m not really sure what to do besides just screenshot and hope it looks ok. 

That’s all I have.

The ad tracking seems egregious. The best you can do is choose “Ask app not to track” when the app first starts up. But man, I would gladly give money for an ad-free version. 

I’m playing a lot of CRPGs on my PC and this app is perfect to have open for mapping old-school dungeons progress. It sure beats a pen and graph paper. Anyhow, ditch the ads.

I realize this is intentionally a bare bones app, and I like the simplicity. However, there does appear to be some basic functionality missing.

1. Undo/Redo
Seems like a basic need to me, would make editing easier. It’s annoying & frustrating to correct errors by having to erase multiple tiles to just fix a misplaced door.

2. Object tiles
Is a dungeon map really a dungeon map without some object tiles? Even if it’s just square tiles with letters, such as “S” for statue or “T” for trap. Maybe even add the ability to import custom tiles as long as they meet tile size criteria in pixels.

3. Layering
I think layering would be a great addition to the app. This way you can erase only what you need to. Put floor tiles on one layer, put walls, doors & windows on another, put objects on another. Adding a few extra layers, say 5 total, would make editing the maps much easier.

4. Grid Size
Needs the ability to edit the grid size and maybe the grid line type. This would make creating maps much easier since smaller maps could be made without a massive number of empty squares.

5. A Legend & Custom text
Adding the ability to add a legend to the map would be a massive plus. It’d allow people to create and edit what objects/tiles have on the. Adding custom text would help with adding any notes you might need to add. Such as how many feet each tile represents.

6. Event Markers
Adding the ability to add custom event markers would help a lot as well. It would give users the ability to edit and control all content in the app before printing it out.

I’m not sure what the end goal for this app is, but these basic functions would be great additions.

The tiles bounce around when you try to place one down. You cannot erase specifics - you have to erase the tile and then place the walls back. The only character is T for the tiles with text. Walls lose their solid black line when you erase a tile they're connected to. Every time I want to zoom in I have to scroll to the left of the screen minimum 3 times before it allows me to zoom.

Spent a little bit building a map, gone as soon as I closed the app even tough I saved, also it won’t let you save over other maps even if it says, “Saved successfully” or whatever.

This map maker is arbitrary and clunky! It works against the user. On top of that, I just spent 30 mins making a map, saved it and came back to it and nothing was there!
Waste of time!

Great dungeon editor and has amazing potential but I would recommend more of the default tile types (basically more colors) as well as maybe a custom tile that we can make with our own photos

Needs more tiles as others have noted, but the BIGGEST, most aggravating issue is the map corruption. Save a map, come back, and it’s randomly shifted/added tile types next to where you placed them. Mark a chest? There are 2 or 3 more right next to it. Added a door? Same. Constant,across multiple maps. I’m at the point to where when I finish a map, I’m going to do a screen capture and reference it instead.

Questa applicazione sarebbe perfetta sé fosse stata curata un po’ di più. Purtroppo in questo stadio è inutilizzabile: è troppo basica, insomma non solo mancano molte funzioni, ma è scomoda da usare, sembra una versione “beta” del software, rilasciato e poi mai testato nel mondo reale. Per fare un esempio manca il bottone “annulla” , quindi se si sbaglia (cosa che capita spesso perché l’app è super sensibile al tocco e in un attimo si aggiunge per errore una “striscia” di corridoio non voluta alla nostra mappa) non si può annullare e bisogna recuperare usando lo strumento “gomma” per cancellare casella x casella i nostri errori. Andrebbe quindi questa applicazione finita e poi… rifinita dopo un po’ di playtest. Peccato perché (incredibilmente) non ci sono molte app di questo tipo sul mercato.

Separate buttons for the tile library and clicking tiles. It’s annoying to click tiles and have to re-select the tile I was using, this happens every time you switch to eraser

Undo / redo button would go a long way

I like the maps simplicity, just think it needs a few things

It’s not the best app ever but it’s free and does what you want it to do. I had no issues with saving as others seemed to have. I would recommend to the creators to add an undo button as I found myself forgetting I had the eraser tool and swiping across the screen to move and it could erase everything in its path :/ and more extras like skeletons or tables. Overall good app.

I would like to see Export to Photos (ideally with a PNG or JPEG choice), a level or two of Undo, hex-grids as well as square grids, and a way to buy out of ads. Ways to insert my own images would also be nice, but the way to monetize it (& thus pay for maintaining and any further development) outside of ads would be to offer packs of Items and Creatures, so I can see restricting that).

But this is pretty cute for doodling already, so that's good!

To keep the app around longer, purchasing hex-grids, etc., for a buck or so would be okay.

Mi sto trovando bene ad utilizzarla per le mie sessioni, ma tante cose sono costretto a farle poi a mano una volta stampate. Ad esempio tavoli ed armadi, persino le scale. Un muro in obliquo, non puoi farlo. 5 stelle se la dovessero aggiornare un poco, permettendo più dettagli.

Really awesome app! I really needed a way to make maps while Im on the go and cant carry a laptop and this fills all my needs! I would really like to see possibly a drawing mechanic (but this might be because Im used to using my Note app). Tiles I would recommend: wall and floor barricades(Like wood planks), slanted walls (I like my room to be a little curved and unique), trap indicator tiles, some more furniture(Tables, Chairs, cages, beds).

I havnt used the app too much but the issue I ran into was when I used Tile and erase tool the map would move while my finger moved on the screen, making it a little difficult to erase and place tiles.
