By requiring gold to level up monsters there isn’t enough gold available. So rather than playing to improve my monsters I have to put the game down because the progress is limited. Fix this and I’ll change my rating. It used to be a very fun game ### 2/5 — Not F2P Friendly *2023-04-28* Game operates with a “piece based” summon system, which serves no purpose other than to screw players over. Think you summoned a legendary, only to find out you got 2 shards out of 50. There is no “restart” button”, it you want to redo you need to end the entire game and start back from scratch. To say the currency for summoning is scarce would be a gross understatement, you’ll be lucky to scrape together enough currency to get a legendary, and then to hope and pray that it isn’t one with horrible abilities because if it is you may as well uninstall already. And on top of all that, the difficulty even in the beginner stages is absurdly high. The art style and the audio pair well with these aspects, and overall it feels like a complete game. The F2P experience has been pleasant and I don’t feel like the game is trying to leech $ from my wallet. I can get plenty far just by exploring the provided mechanics to make a team incrementally stronger. The game is quite literally designed to force a player to use every means possible to get stronger. I saw a review that said the beginning stages are too hard, but I find it very rewarding to conquer a challenging stage. This is simply the way of a roguelike and this game truly feels like one when playing. My only concern here as a F2P is that I’m hitting a bottle neck mid-late game (as of current game state 0.13.3 - Stage 12-30). I can only get so far in the multitude of different challenges, and have found that I’m just auto patrolling zones for resources at this point. I really enjoy the play but I can feel the plateau around here. I think this is the area where the game could lose the most players. I’d suggest maybe more side events for more rewards, or adjusting the scaling of resources in later stages. Overall, this is probably my favorite mobile game that I’ve found in years. Might not be for everyone but definitely for me. Thanks to the devs for working hard on a sick game. ### 5/5 — Great game *2023-04-09* Insanely fun. F2P friendly. Really love this game. ### 5/5 — Lovely progression and rewarding upgrades *2023-02-13, version 0.9.6* Im a huge enjoyer of gacha and strategy games, so this is a wonderful, engaging, yet requires less in depth understanding, making itacalm and peaceful way to enjoy myself after intense TFT matches. Runs ok on low end devices, but there are frequent bugs. The main ones that are aking the experience frustrating reglarly that summong champions/shards seems to lock up the screen. PSA! To bypass this, there is a miniscule space in beween the pair of summoning button that resolves this issue to a small degree, but not always. Also, often times it registers dismissal of the rewards screen as an input to summon somthing else, if where I press isint exactly between the two summon buttons. Still, very unique progression, I was not execting to enjoy it enough that i overcame my hard feelings for bloonsTD, so ty! Best of luck! I keep getting a magenta/pink screen when loading maps. ### 4/5 — Good F2P, hard wall 4 me *2023-05-18* This game is fun and I enjoyed many months of playing…but I’ve been stuck at a very hard wall for over 45 days. I’ve finally lost interest in further progression as a free to play player. I don’t know why I can’t progress. My main team is maxed as far as possible in every dimension and for whatever reason I cannot get past this one story level. No matter which characters I chose or deployment strategy…I always lose right at the end. It really feels like the game is purposefully keeping me from advancing past this stage, because the numbers don’t add up. I got tired of grinding and logging in everyday to see no progress. Despite my issue, I’d say this is a worthwhile game if you’re F2P, and I hope you have better luck than me.
