## What is Dungeon Tiles?

** Apple TV Games Best of 2016(Japan) **

** Winner of AppLovin Apple TV App Challenge **

Dungeon Tiles is a strategic puzzle game with minimalism and RPG elements in which players swipe the screen to collect swords, dragons, lives, and gold.

How to Play

Swipe the screen to move all tiles in the arena in the same direction. Combine tiles of the same color to score points. After each swipe, the total value of the combined tiles is added to a cumulative total for swords, dragons, lives, and gold displayed at the top of the screen and a battle begins. In the battle, swords reduce the “dragons” score and dragons reduce the “lives” score. The “swords” score decreases by the value used to attack the dragons. As dragons are slayed, the “experience” bar rises, and when it reaches the top the player improves his/her level. The game ends when no lives remain or the arena is full and no more tiles can be moved.

Features

1. Combo:
When three or more of the same tile are combined, the tiles disappear.
Combine 3 tiles: 2 x points
Combine 4 tiles: 4 x points
Combine 5 tiles: 8 x points (only 5x5 mode)

2. Items:
The gold collected during play can be exchanged for items.
However, each item can only be used once.
E.g.
Remove all dragon tiles from the arena
Multiply the number of lives by two

3. 2 Single Player Mode ( 4x4, 5x5 ):

4. Two Player Mode:
When a player swipes the screen, all of his/her tiles and all of his/her opponents tiles move in the direction swiped. Players can disturb their opponent’s play by moving the opponent’s tiles in the same direction as their own. When three or more sword tiles are combined, one dragon tile is sent over to the opponent’s arena: this tactic can be used to alter the layout of the opponent’s arena and disturb his/her play.

5. vs.AI Mode:
A player compete with AI(Computer).
If it's hard to recognize AI's tiles, you can rotate all AI's tiles in the pause menu.

6. Game Center.
Game Center leaderboards and achievements are supported.

7. Twitter.
A player tweets his/her score after the game ends.

The game also provides a kind of math training since quick calculation skills are needed in order to obtain a high score.

### 5/5 — Very good

*2016-12-29*

Nice simple. It doesn't really matter that it's dungeon tiles though. Could have just as well be jelly beans, or football players, or zombies. Story line could be there more. I like it a lot though.

### 1/5 — I'm lost

*2016-11-11*

After completing the tutorial I still have no idea how to win the game. For some reason most of the help views are locked. Nice looking and might be fun but not if It won't tell you how to win.

### 2/5 — Full of promise, write the ending

*2016-10-16*

It seems really fun matching everything up, but the gold collection is horribly poor, not to mention winning isnt programmed into the game. Itll go on until you cant go anymore aka lose no matter what. Also, you should win once you fill the board but have your dragons at 0 instead of the lame gold digging method.

### 3/5 — Okay.

*2016-09-21*

It's okay as far as these type of games go. I wish there was a little variation, but it's nice that it's easy to learn, easy to play, hard to master. What would really make this game better would be a way of keeping track of your previous scores.

### 3/5 — Interesting but...

*2016-09-18*

Interesting take on tile games, but as always I deleted this the second a full-screen video ad took over my iPad. Good 3-4 minute time killer, at least.

### 4/5 — INTERESTING CONCEPT

*2016-09-17*

Not likely you're going to collect much gold, which is what makes the train go chug, chug, chug. Some other reviewer claimed to have played a game for several billion points. My thought is that he either found a door to another reality (sometimes you take 2 or 4 at a time with water), or he's married to the programmer.

### 5/5 — Simple and Challenging

*2016-09-16*

It's great to pass time. If it had a better format or design it'd be perfect. Very well thought out game indeed.

### 5/5 — wow

*2016-08-08*

love this game. it's like 2048 but it's much more better.

### 5/5 — Game Center

*2016-07-25*

I had a 20 million score and the game center wont work so kinda bummed but overall really good game. Takes 2048 to another strategic level.

### 5/5 — Brilliant game

*2016-07-12*

This is a genius game, simple design, well executed. The earlier levels can be difficult to get past, but the game eases up after level 10.
I just played a 2.5 hour, 14,000,000 point, level 37 game but Game Center won't work. :(
Anyway, the specialty tiles after level 10 and every 5 levels after were a great touch for longer games.
Gold feels a little like pay to win, but with no purchase option. My recommendation here is to reset "golds" each game and affect the gold with levels like the other tiles.
Should totally have grid size options. 4x4, 5x5, 6x6 games would all be fun!
