### 5/5 — Fun and griping

*2026-06-16*

Great balance between reading and interacting.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2026-06-16, version 4.6*

Great storyline and plenty of excitement awaiting the outcome of your decisions along the way!

### 2/5 — The newest sections are written with AI

*2026-06-15, version 4.6*

Rogue’s Choice and Wizard’s Choices were great, but the Ranger’s Choice was clearly written by AI. It goes on and on and on, stringing the player along with an interminable mystery and cliche phrases that an AI uses. Lots of descriptions and vague words by the characters, and the “a beat” phrasing in response to surprise by characters just gives this all away.

Not to mention that the Ranger’s Choice series hasn’t been finished after four or more years.

Don’t invest money into this.

### 5/5 — First Time Reader

*2026-06-13, version 4.6*

I absolutely loved the first episode and am going to start the next one right now. I am pretty sure I will be getting the premium.

### 5/5 — First time player

*2026-05-14, version 4.6*

So far so good 😊, I’ll update me as we progress…. Up date, I’m still playing and enjoying 👍🙌

### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for.

*2026-05-06, version 4.6*

I love this little solo campaign game. Wish there were more options but good enough. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Good so far

*2026-05-04*

Gotten this far along I like it

### 5/5 — Great writing, beautiful art

*2026-04-29, version 4.6*

I love this game, a mix of story and action, the art is great and the plot is written by humans not ai. 10/10 fun

### 5/5 — I HAVE RETURNED

*2026-04-27, version 4.6*

Good game, played this when it was new, I kept dying because of poor choices but it was still fun. I forgot about for too long, came back to see what’s new and I can say it’s still one of the beast RPG’s around.

### 5/5 — Made me actually enjoy reading for first time in 28 years!

*2026-04-18, version 4.6*

I’ve never been a reader, but due to an injury stopping me from gaming I needed a different hobby. Real DND is nice but also incredibly draining for me as I’m currently unable to work due to health reasons. This put me in quite the predicament where I didn’t know how to occupy my time. This app has got me into reading for the first time ever. I’m 28. Never have I ever enjoyed reading, I didn’t understand the concept, I would only read self improvement, something that had a purpose, not just for fun. But this, this has bridged that gap for me.. and for that, I am grateful.

Thank you for making reading addictive, as the developers themselves so rightfully put it.

Well worth the money for the full premium edition. It’s a genuine steal and the writing style is so engaging and never boring. I genuinely love the authors style.

Solid recommendation.

If I were to give a critique it would be that I really love the DND 5e system, and having dice rolls for combat would be a super cool feature but I can also see why it’s not here. There’s a lot of charm in the game the way it is now, and I think that could be lost with the 5e system baked in. So maybe it’s perfect the way it is. Oh yeah - a minimal/clean/sleek app icon would be great, I currently hide the app as it doesnt look good with dark mode icons which is a slight shame.

Do yourself a favour and get this app.

### 5/5 — Rogue’s choice

*2026-04-16, version 4.6*

I’m loving this one and so will any rpg fan

### 2/5 — Endings Are Mid

*2026-04-06, version 4.6*

I like the concept but the ending to the wizards choice and demons choice novels were both very anticlimactic.

Spoilers below.

The main issue is that the build up plot and ending of each had a completely different vibe - for example, who plays as a demon to randomly get purified at the end and turned into a child. Or, play as a wizard and suddenly you’re in high school at the end?

Concept is great but needed to stay consistent at the end.

### 4/5 — Good start

*2026-04-04, version 4.6*

Good beginning storyline wish there was a DM voice over reader to enhance the feeling of being led thru your campaigns

### 5/5 — Translation

*2026-03-28*

I really think, you should translate the game in a few languages (spanish and Chinese for example). I think it would expand the popularity of the game. And maybe with AI is not that much work

### 5/5 — Damn Good Game

*2026-03-20, version 4.4*

I love this game so far! I am on the wizards story path and the choices I make effect my story now I can go back with my luck points and I do If I mess up but it’s a good game and you should get it if you like RP style games. The best thing is! There are other story lines to play as different characters

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-03-11, version 4.4*

This game is such an amazing experience. Sam Landstrom (author) has a great way with words and the stories he has written are so fun to read. I started playing this game and always looked forward to having downtime to delve into these stories. Would highly recommend for anyone who likes D&D and medieval fantasy. I’m really enjoying the Asizella story as I am a woman and much appreciate the perspective as the other stories have been male-centered.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Spam machine

*2026-08-28, version 4.6*

Despite the claims of the developer, this app is full of AI slop content & artwork and pops up spam ads very frequently. I can’t imagine trying to charge anyone $20 for an ad free version of this when minimal human effort was put into the design.

### 1/5 — Crashes iPhone

*2026-07-10*

Beim ersten Start crashed das iPhone und sieht so aus als würde es einen Virus installieren.
Echt spooky.

### 1/5 — Overpriced railroad

*2026-05-25, version 4.6*

Decisions hardly matter. Used to be free about a decade ago, but is now 20 dollars to unlock all content.

### 1/5 — Pay for all

*2026-04-29, version 4.6*

As soon as I got in the game and it gave me five energy, so that ran out after literally less than five minutes I tried making me buy the subscription

### 1/5 — Good start, then downhill

*2026-02-09, version 4.0*

Was fun, entertaining and then the ads started.

### 1/5 — Dungeons and misunderstanding at best

*2026-01-04, version 3.40*

I really like the concept of decision based storytelling. That’s why I picked this up. However, then the experience went as hilariously bad as i think it could’ve. Ads seem to earn you gold, which you need to unlock the other stories. So once you buy ad free ($5) you earn no gold… and then have to watch ads to earn gold and unlock content. Note there are 2 completely separate gold values. I didn’t realize this. so when i bought ad free i thought that at worst I would have to replay the unlocked content to earn more gold with my decisions in the story. Ok, cool, encourage me to play the story again to see how decisions affect the story. Your decisions do not affect the story. The gold earned in the story is different from the gold you need to buy content. The art is almost certainly ai.

### 1/5 — Decisions don’t matter

*2025-12-30, version 3.40*

This game is way more linear than you’re led to believe. It’s riddled with false choices. “Do you want to open the door or walk away?” “You opted to walk away but your sidekick opened the door”

It’s lazy writing. Your choices don’t actually matter. The game is very low quality.

### 1/5 — kinda weird

*2025-12-26, version 3.40*

this game was made for dudes. you play as a middle aged man and he watches a girl sleep and thinks about how cute her nose must be after her whole family just died, you say how lucky it is she isn’t sniffling or being loud when she demands to join you, and they only describe the women and their ‘shapely necks’ and necklaces between their bosoms. there hasn’t been a single description of a man haha, just keep this in mind if you want to play this

### 1/5 — Ghetto

*2025-12-20, version 3.40*

Broken. Doesn’t go beyond first screen.

### 1/5 — Nothing here

*2025-12-15, version 3.40*

Died not even five minutes later into playing. How is that fun? Slop app at its finest

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love this!

*2026-08-12, version 4.6*

Pretty awesome story and super addictive!

### 5/5 — Quite enjoyable

*2026-08-03, version 4.6*

So far having a blast.

### 5/5 — A great time!

*2026-08-02, version 4.6*

Funny and engaging. Took me back to my Choose Your Own Adventure days, but with some added RPG fun. Loving it!

### 5/5 — Great game

*2026-07-27, version 4.6*

I have never played anything DND related and i really like this. I like how you dont have to pay for important things and instead you earn it. I do wish I could create my own story and character but otherwise its amazing

### 5/5 — Far Better Than Anticipated

*2026-07-14, version 4.6*

I thought this might turn out to be a bit flimsy, contrived, lazy… but no, no, and no. This is quite good. I’m addicted. You don’t have to spend anything to play - as a natural consequence, there are periodic ads. If you end up liking it as much as I do, you’ll make the one-time payment to shut those off like I did. Great game!

### 5/5 — I like it.

*2026-07-11*

It’s been fun so far, at the end of volume 1. Looking forward to the next.

### 5/5 — Great RPG to read

*2026-06-29, version 4.6*

I really enjoy this interactive reading RPG. So many different choices as well as stories. I highly recommend anyone who enjoys d&d to give this a try.

### 5/5 — First time now RETURNING player

*2026-06-27, version 4.6*

Still good 😊 I really like the adventure so far and there are some unexpected surprises that I enjoy, and it gives me that book vibe like you have to keep going even though you should really be asleep 😆

### 5/5 — I love it! But…

*2026-06-20, version 4.6*

First of all, great! I paid for the full version, well worth it! More illustrations would be wonderful. But even without them, it’s still well worth it!

### 5/5 — Great game

*2026-06-18, version 4.6*

It’s a great game with such amazing storytelling!
