## What is Duo?

Duo turns your iPhone or iPad into the clock beside the board — a real chess clock. The whole side is the button: tap it, slap it, palm it. A deep click, a proper clack, and a flag that falls.

White plays on paper, Black plays on ink, so there is never a question of whose side is whose. Timing is timestamp-based and never drifts. Download and you are playing in seconds — no account, no onboarding, no ads.

EVERY TIME CONTROL
• Sudden death, Fischer increment, Bronstein and simple delay
• Multi-stage FIDE controls (90 min / 40 moves + 30 min, with increment)
• Per-player handicap and hourglass
• Byo-yomi for Go and shogi, and overtime penalty scoring for Scrabble (Pro)
• Built-in presets from bullet to classical, plus your own custom controls

NEVER LOSE ON TIME IN SILENCE
• Red low-time glow with tenths of a second under twenty seconds
• Chimes at 60 and 30 seconds, a per-second tick under ten
• Haptics you can feel through the table

MADE FOR THE TABLE
• Table Mode: lay the device flat and each half rotates to face its player, like a tournament clock beside the board
• Works beautifully on iPhone and iPad, portrait or landscape
• Pause for arbiter corrections: adjust either clock mid-game
• The board decides: record wins, losses and draws that end over the board

A CARD FOR EVERY GAME
Every game ends with a designed, shareable game card — winner, moves, think times and the clock race in one image. Post it or save it to Photos.

DUO PRO — ONE PURCHASE, NO SUBSCRIPTION
• Full game history, with a card for every past game
• Statistics, playing habits and head-to-head rivalry records
• Midnight and Walnut themes
• Byo-yomi, penalty overtime, voice announcements, unlimited saved controls
• One-time purchase, shareable with your family through Family Sharing

Duo records your games from day one, so if you unlock Pro later, your earlier games appear in history retroactively.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No ads. Player names and game history stay on your device. Only anonymous, aggregate usage counts are ever collected.

Requires iOS 17 or later.
