In the chess course, my friends exit the daily puzzle just before completing it so they know how to solve it and then they go through it as fast as possible so they get ridiculous times like 3 seconds. As of Sept 1, the test is banned in Iran: fine, that follows US sanctions, BUT Duolingo went further and banned everyone with an Iranian ID trying to take the test anywhere in the world, even people living abroad trying to take the test or travelling abroad to take it. US sanctions target residents of Iran, not people of Iranian nationality anywhere in the world. That makes this second ban not compliance, but discrimination by nationality, a company choosing convenience over ordinary people trying to get an education and build a better life.
