And those are the times that the tool was the most useful - when there was any type of schedule change due to a holiday or bad weather. Then - this week, it decided that it can no longer find the same address that it worked perfectly with for years. I rolled it out this week when they said I should; they skipped our street. Rolled the bin back up to my house so I don’t get fined, and report it using this app. I don’t get any notice saying “leave your bin out on Tuesday for pick up” or anything like that. Then I get a notice “this issue has been resolved, your trash was picked up today”, look in my bin….nope. Probably they came by and since it wasn’t on the street (because of that fine notice), they didn’t pick up. City of Durham, just do your job. Quit acting like an app is fill in for shoddy services. ### 2/5 — Let’s play Roulette!! *2020-08-18, version 2020.5.29* I have tried to use this app. It has potential, but it is not accurate at all for anything other then green can trash. Recycle might get picked up on assigned day, but most likely day after. Yard waste was the ONLY alert that worked but....psych your yard waste is going to sit at curb for several weeks. I have reported just 1 bulky item in last 6 years of living in Durham. Almost, 2 months now and still sitting at curb. No feedback, no pickup. For more than eight straight weeks our trash has not been picked up on its scheduled date. It’s missed on Thursday, then Thursday evening I submit a one call ticket and on Saturday morning the trash is finally picked up and the cart can be moved to the rear of the home as required by solid waste’s instructions. Do the route personnel run by any route sheet or computer/GPS CAD system? You would think after 8 plus weeks of continuous one call submissions that someone within operations would follow up.
