## What is Duty Pro?

Duty Pro is the only pocket police guide app to provide you with a comprehensive list of criminal offences in both simple and ‘Guidethrough’ modes, walking you through every step of the investigation process and providing you with offence specific requirements along the way.

No monthly subscriptions, no catch. Just a one-off fee and it's yours. With no time-consuming or delinquent application updates required to maintain correct information, Duty Pro is supremely powerful.

Duty Pro is revolutionising the way British police officers maintain their status as the world's best. It provides you with a formidable and highly effective tool to look up and reference criminal and traffic offences and procedures during the course of your investigations.

With the option of two outstanding display modes, you can decide how you'd like Duty Pro to present the information to you.

In ‘Simple’ mode, Duty Pro will show you everything you need to know about the offence, including offence wording, prosecution time limits, charging codes and maximum sentences. All designed in a clear and easy to navigate interface.

In the exceptional ‘Guidethrough’ mode, not only will it display everything you will see in ‘Simple’ mode, it is smartly and dynamically written to walk you through exactly what steps you should be taking both legally and procedurally. Broken down into easily-identifiable stages of the investigative process, Duty Pro will assist you through the initial account right through to court procedures.

Also included is:

• A convenient contacts list, providing helpful contact information of police services and other linked organisations around the country which contains (where available):

	• Specific police service telephone number, email address and website
	• Force PNC and Home Office radio codes
	• Integrated map locating the force headquarters and directions

• A wellbeing directory, providing information to users on where help can be obtained from everything including mental health to financial services to Police Officers.

• A document library, providing an array of useful PDF documents and publications for police officers and victims from various organisations.

Duty Pro is perfect not only for police officers but for other members of the policing family including PCSOs, Special Constables, and civilian investigators. ### 4/5 — Good overview

*2023-10-07, version 3.11.1*

Good overview of offences as well as those horrendous mnemonics and abbreviations. It would be amazing if it had the relative case file requirements where applicable.

### 3/5 — Good app for basic information

*2022-07-23, version 3.11.1*

This app is good. Well designed and layout is good. Not as much information at similar apps on the market.

Would be nice to have a bit more information on offence wording etc.

BiteSize knowledge section is good but hasn't changed for months on my app.

All in all, the app is good for basic information but not as good as competitors.

### 3/5 — Brief offence wording

*2021-04-08, version 3.10.1*

The offence wordings are brief and doesn’t cover all the points to prove in detail

### 5/5 — Very handy when out and about

*2021-04-04, version 3.10.1*

As the above says, handy when out and about.

### 5/5 — Very good app.

*2021-03-06, version 3.9.1*

As a serving officer, PocketSergeant has been brilliant however the UI was lacking. I discovered Duty Pro from Twitter, and after downloading the Duty Pro app I’ve been nothing impressed. Well worth the time.

### 1/5 — Don’t bother

*2021-01-18, version 3.9.1*

Total waste of money. Most useless app I’ve ever used it has next to no information. Has the potential to be great but currently is useless

### 5/5 — Simply simple.

*2021-01-03, version 3.9.1*

This is an amazing app for any new probationer officer like myself. It is incredibly easy to use, with each section broken down. I fully recommend this app to anyone within the police service and indeed anyone wanting to learn about British law.

### 4/5 — Necessity for arrest and stalking and harassment

*2020-10-22, version 3.8.1*

As a special constable I would say Necessity for arrest are needed for each topic and offence and also there needs to be a section on stalking and harassment, this app would be more than five stars then.

### 5/5 — Best police app

*2020-10-04, version 3.8.1*

I’ve used the other two police apps and they came nowhere near this. By far the best police app available

### 2/5 — Ok

*2020-09-30, version 3.7.3*

This app is ok for some functions. There are a lot of offences not listed and the search function is so limited you often can’t find the legislation you’re looking for.
The pricing is good and aesthetically the app looks good but otherwise it is extremely limited in functionality.

As always, thank your for your continued support. You can always email hello@dutypro.co.uk or tweet @DutyProApp.

### 3.10.1 — 2021-04-04

Not much to report in this one... just a few little changes to make some loading more efficient.

There's a completely new version coming soon - a complete overhaul bringing an array of new features. Keep your eyes peeled!

As always, thank your for your continued support. You can always email hello@dutypro.co.uk or tweet @DutyProApp.

### 3.9.1 — 2020-12-29

A few minor changes to make the app run smoother and more efficient.

This will be the last version of Duty Pro which supports iOS 11 and below. To receive future updates, you will need to have iOS 12 or above running on your device. You can find out more about updating your device here: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204204

### 3.8.1 — 2020-09-30

A few little changes to add...

You can now submit offence suggestions directly within the app. Simply go to Offences and click the plus sign in the top right corner and fill in the details. I will review and add them as soon as I can.

A few little changes under the bonnet including some performance related issues.

Fixed bug DPB-47 which was causing some users issues in submitting bug reports... ironically.

Stay safe out there!

### 3.7.3 — 2020-05-13

I have added "Copper's Glossary" which provides a glossary of abbreviations, phrases, mnemonics etc so you no longer need the awkward "what does that mean?" conversation with your colleagues. In addition to that, I've added some new functionality so you can submit your own items to the glossary directly within the app! Pretty clever, huh? All terms are manually approved and are done pronto.

Doughnuts now have a new feature which allows you to send feedback regarding whether a particular snippet was helpful or not. Ultimately it means I can build a better picture of what you like and how helpful they are.

Powers and Procedures have been moved to the side menu (top right from the main menu). It remains in beta as it is currently being completely remodelled to make it easier and more informative for you to use.

There are a few user interface changes, but nothing major. Mostly slightly different colours to text and the font sizes are bigger on the Guidethrough mode for better accessibility.

There are also a few other changes underneath the bonnet, but I won't bore you with those.

Thanks again for your continued support. As ever, you can contact me @DutyProApp on Twitter, email hello@dutypro.co.uk or if it relates to a bug, raise it directly in the app (under About Duty Pro).

Stay safe out there!
