## What is DutyCal?

DutyCal pulls your roster from your crew portal and syncs it to iPhone Calendar. It also prints a clean monthly sheet so your family can see what's happening at a glance.

For pilots and cabin crew who fly out at 4 a.m. and want their household to know the month ahead. No chat group. No screenshots. No explaining it again over breakfast.

DutyCal Plus subscription required to sync your roster after a 3-day free trial. ¥550/month or ¥5,000/year. Cancel anytime. DutyCal currently supports crew at MM and 7G. Additional airlines on the roadmap. Other portals will not sync.

ROSTER, ON YOUR PHONE
Log in once with your crew portal credentials. DutyCal fetches your duty schedule, reconciles changes across publishes, and writes every flight, standby, training day, and day off to a dedicated calendar on your iPhone. Works offline once a roster is loaded.

THE FRIDGE SHEET
A printable A4 landscape view, one row per day, color-coded for flight duty, airport standby, home standby, training, sick, and off. Stick it on the fridge. Your partner stops asking. Designed to be readable at arm's length.

ALARMS THAT WAKE YOU
Pre-departure alarms set themselves on every flight day and airport standby. They ring through Silent mode and Focus, the way the iOS Clock app does, and stop only when you dismiss them. You choose your at-base lead time. No accidental snooze.

A MONTHLY PAY ESTIMATE
A running pre-tax estimate of the month so far, built from your duty hours, sectors, and credit. Past months compared against your original published roster. No payslip data leaves the phone.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your login is stored in iOS Keychain, locked to your device. No account creation. No DutyCal servers. No analytics. No third-party trackers. Face ID protects the app on launch.

BUILT BILINGUAL
Full English and Japanese throughout, including the fridge sheet. Switch languages without restarting.

WHAT IT COSTS
3-day free trial on both plans, then DutyCal Plus subscription required to continue.
- Monthly: ¥550/month
- Yearly: ¥5,000/year

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. ## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.13 — 2026-08-16

YOUR MONTH, AT A GLANCE
The hours bar now shows what you are actually paid for, with ground duty credit marked separately, and it keeps its shape past a hundred hours. The extra sheet is gone: the number it held was already on the bar. The current month is marked in the month picker, and months with no roster are greyed out rather than opening empty.

TRADING, IN FULL
Every pickup and drop for the month in one card, each with its approximate value, plus in green and minus in red. Trips you took for critical coverage are listed too. Trades keep showing for a month whose roster has not been published yet, and the trading record now refreshes with every roster sync.

QUIETER DUTY DAYS
Your calendar no longer alerts you before every leg. Only the leg that opens your duty carries a location now, so the travel-time alert fires once, before you leave for work, and not again while you are sitting in the aeroplane waiting to fly the next one.

POST-FLIGHT CHECK REMINDER
Where your operation has you run your own post-flight alcohol check, a reminder arrives fifteen minutes after your last landing, while you are still on board. Once per duty, not once per leg, and it names the airfield you finished at. Off in Settings whenever you like.

YOUR RECORD, LEG BY LEG
The block-hours record now speaks the language of the contract: paid the greater of scheduled or actual, leg by leg and trip by trip, so you can see which flying has been worth having.

FLIGHT DECK AND CABIN
The features that only make sense on the flight deck, weather and the flight logbook, no longer appear for cabin crew.

FIXES
- The check-in button clears once you have checked in on the portal, without waiting for a manual sync
- The roster stays on today while your first import runs in the background, instead of jumping to the oldest month it found
- A flight you picked up that was then assigned to you by hand now appears in your trades
- The intro tour explains the roster weather, including the days it will not appear

As always: no accounts, no servers, nothing leaves your device.

### 1.12 — 2026-08-11

ROSTER WEATHER
Today's flights now carry the latest METAR for both airfields, shown as colour dots right on the Roster tab. Tap the line for the raw METAR and TAF exactly as filed, with a plain answer on whether the TAF covers your departure-to-arrival window. Add an alternate once and it sticks to that destination from then on. Fetched at sync, kept for your duty day only. A briefing aid, not an official weather briefing.

STEADIER ALARMS
Wake-up alarms no longer depend on your calendar, so a calendar permission problem can no longer silence them. And if iOS is blocking alarms, Settings now shows it right on the Auto alarms row, with a one-tap route to fix it, instead of staying quiet.

FLIGHT LOGBOOK
Bring in up to 24 months of your flying and print it as a flight-log form. Page totals, carried-forward hours, night movements and your signature. Anything your company system left incomplete is gathered on one screen, and that screen's next step is now one clear card you can tap anywhere. For pilots, where the company system supports it.

ANOTHER AIRLINE SUPPORTED
Sign in with your crew portal ID and DutyCal reads your roster the same way it does for the carriers already supported. Flights, reserve, training and days off, into your calendar in your own home time zone. Pay estimates follow standard industry practice, and your pay profile lets you tune them to your own situation. Estimates only, not a payroll statement. When your check-in window opens, a clear button appears at the top of the Roster tab.

MONTH-TAB TRADING
Pick up or drop a trip and the Month tab shows what it did to the month. Tap the trading chip for every trade in one card.

FIXES
- The weather line under a flight is easier to tap
- More reliable imports: a run that fails now says so instead of spinning

As always: no accounts, no servers, nothing leaves your device.

### 1.11 — 2026-08-01

FLIGHT LOGBOOK
Bring in up to 24 months of your flying and print it as a flight-log form page totals, carried-forward hours, night movements and your signature. Anything your company system left incomplete is gathered on one screen, so you can fill in the hours before you print. For pilots, where the company system supports it.

ANOTHER AIRLINE SUPPORTED
Sign in with your crew portal ID and DutyCal reads your roster the same way it does for the carriers already supported flights, reserve, training and days off, into your calendar in your own home time zone. Pay estimates follow your contract: monthly guarantee, premium hours, deadhead, critical-pay tiers, per diem, vacation, training and computer-based training credit.

MONTH-TAB TRADING
Pick up or drop a trip and the Month tab shows what it did to the month, day by day.

MORE RELIABLE IMPORTS
A long import could previously stall and never finish. Every request now gives up rather than hanging for ever, retries once, and tells you when it is still waiting. A run that fails now says so instead of spinning.

FIXES
- Check-in, check-out and lobby times no longer wrap on smaller screens
- Section headers, sub-lines and footnotes now meet WCAG AA contrast in both light and dark
- The language setting is honoured everywhere choosing English on a Japanese device now actually gives you English
- Onboarding and the announcement screens scroll properly, so the button is reachable on every size
- The logbook's "needs your input" screen confirms when you are done instead of going blank
- Page and running totals for takeoffs and landings now add up on the printed logbook

As always: no accounts, no servers, nothing leaves your device.

### 1.10 — 2026-07-19

New: Flown with
- Search any name to find crew you've flown with — and see every flight you've shared, newest first
- Or tap a name in a flight's crew list to jump straight to your shared history
- Searches the roster history on your phone — import past months to look back further

Also improved: a smoother subscribe and restore flow for returning users.

### 1.09 — 2026-07-10

- Roster legs no longer disappear or duplicate when flight times are updated after landing
- Calendar setup now works with any calendar account configuration
- Wake-up alarms are preserved when importing past months
- Crew names now display correctly on all flight formats
- Reliability and interface improvements
