## What is Dvala?

Dvala is for anyone who wants to fall asleep to calm Swedish stories — narrated by Farfar, a warm, gravelly voice that is never in a hurry.

Please note: every story is narrated in Swedish.

Farfar talks about forest walks in Småland, stacking firewood in the winter dark, and sourdough rising on the kitchen counter. And when the occasion calls for it, he reads the genuinely dull things: IKEA assembly instructions, the sea area forecast station by station, train timetables, council meeting minutes and property tax assessments from 1974. Slowly. Paragraph by paragraph. Until you fall asleep.

All of it mixed with natural ambient sound — rain on a cabin roof, birdsong at dusk, a crackling fire, a night train through the dark.

Dvala is made to help you unwind, slow down and fall asleep. No exercises. No breathing techniques. Just Sweden.

Seventeen new stories — 49 in total, over 60 hours.

Every series is now complete. The seasons, the train journeys, from the Swedish soil, the national archive, Sweden's waters and Farfar's toolbox — every one of them finished.

Among the new ones: late autumn in Tiveden, midwinter light in Jokkmokk, the smokehouse by the water, the potato harvest, churning butter by hand, the 1952 customs tariff, parish registers from the diocese of Härnösand, and a train journey between Mjölby and Hallsberg in 1984.

Search the library
A new search field that looks through titles and inside the stories themselves. If you only remember a single word — "abborre", "surströmming", "Siljan" — that is enough to find the story again.

Four stories now have their proper ending
Midsommar i stugan, Sjörapporten, the IKEA assembly instructions and Blåbärsskogen used to stop too abruptly. They are complete now — Midsommar i stugan has grown by eight minutes.

If you downloaded any of them before, they are replaced automatically. Nothing for you to do.
