Vacation Club Planning At Your Fingertips! DVC Planner is the fast and easy way to plan your upcoming DVC vacations! Using the easy, intuitive interface, enter in your vacation information. The DVC Planner then provides you with the following: 1. Number of points required. 2. 11 month and 7 month reservation call dates 3. 180 day, 90 day and 60 day call dates for dining and events 4. Holding day date (30 day date). If you must cancel your reservation, cancel BEFORE the Holding Day Date in order to avoid having your points go into the holding account. 5. Days until vacation. 6. Reminders that you have added 7. Vacation points details (seasons, points) for each night of your stay. The DVC Planner also allows the user to save and even email their vacations for later recall and comparison. Plan multiple vacation options and save them all for later reference! Email them to a friend or loved one for planning! Planners Section The DVC Planner is the same rock solid planner. The manual planner is for those with set-week contracts. Saved Vacations Section Within the saved vacations section, you are able to view your saved vacations. View Points / Seasons details for each night of your stay. Add points that you will use for the vacation. The points manager will track your points usage. Create and edit reminders for your vacation. Points Manager Section Manage multiple contracts over multiple use years Combine points from multiple home resorts to make vacations; track points individually using the points manager Use points for vacations that span two use years. The points manager will intelligently display results in the summary. Points manager summary knows the vacations which uses your points and displays the results in an easy-to-read manner Transferring points out? No problem. The Points Manager will show those transfers in the summary in logical order. Transferring points in? No problem. The Points Manager will show the status of those points in the summary. DVC Resorts Section View resort information - wonderful descriptions, addresses and phone numbers. iPhones may dial resorts by using the touch-to-dial feature. Guide Section Enter in your guide's name and phone number for easy reference. Enter in DVC's 800 number for vacation reservations. Touch-to-dial feature allows iPhone users to quickly and easily dial your guide or DVC. Map Section View maps of every DVC Resort. This app keeps crashing every time I add or delete information, such as contracts or vacations. Bought the app for $1.99 plus tax, just to experiment with, and there are bugs galore! Definitely not worth paying for as the information is out of date in some descriptions and calendar feature doesn't have a true pop up view to visualize. Lots of other clunky interface and planning issues as well. Doesn't seem like this app has been serviced in about eight years. Going to uninstall and use another free app instead. **Developer response:** There's been a new calendar interface for a couple of years now. Check out the app now and contact me with specific suggestions. ### 4/5 — Love the app but... *2016-10-23* Can't find out how to get back to main menu from saved vacations in latest update. ### 5/5 — Follow up to September 2015 review *2016-01-17* As the subject line indicates, this is a follow up review from September 2015. I emailed the developer with the issues I was having this app, and within a day or two he responded. He seemed to genuinely want to help to improve my experience with the app as evident with almost a half dozen back-and-forth emails. Initially, although he tried several angles and ideas, he was unable to solve the issue the app was having with my iPhone. I had written it off as a failed attempt when I received a follow up email about a week later. The developer had continued to toy with different solutions until he happened upon a resolution that was effective. An update was made shortly thereafter and the app has worked as intended since. The fact that a solution was found is not what impressed me. It was his willingness to establish correspondence with me as an individual to try and resolve this conflict. I hope that more app developers demonstrate this quality. I am an iPhone user and always maintain the latest iOS updates. ### 5/5 — DVC Planner does almost everything but make the reservations for DVC owners *2015-09-08* This app is my go-to DVC management app for mobile for several reasons. I continue to use it, even with the enhancements made to the Disney Vacation Club official website. Why? Because it gives instant, saved access to reservations, contract details, and, importantly, remaining points totals without having to log in via a website. (1) Reservations: Track existing reservations, rather than simply showing points needed for reservations. Importantly, you can assign the points from individual contracts. Calculates the dates for dining reservations, etc. And, it tells the dates for housekeeping, without the need to try and remember - something that I can refer to on my mobile device during the stay, without having to log into the DVC website to check. Available under the Saved Vacations tab. (2) Contract details: It is capable of maintaining these details, including use year and month (very important for accurate tracking of eligible points remaining - or for banking or borrowing). And, this works with multiple contracts, as well (an important capability for tracking your points if you own at different home resorts). Available under the Contracts tab. (3) iCloud syncing: For your iDevices. Chosen during initial setup. (4) Points total(s): As mentioned above, it doesn't just track points total for a single home resort. It tracks points totals for all of your home resorts if you have more than one. So, if you want to know how many remaining points you have for a specific home resort in a specific use year, you can track that. This really is a very helpful feature w/regard to home resort reservation planning. Simply put, I can quickly look up remaining points available for multiple resorts by use year in the Points Summary tab. I have used this app for several years because it does all of these functions. It’s not just an app for planning purposes. It allows me to track my reservations, my remaining points available by use year and home resort(s), and more. It does just about everything but show me what resorts are available for reserving or making the reservation. Frankly, it’s quite remarkable that it has the functionality it does, given it’s a third-party app. In my book, that makes this great - one that I continue to use. ### 1/5 — Don't bother buying this *2015-08-09* There's no way to do a running total of your points, no reminders about Use Year deadlines, no options to keep waitlist data in one place. In fact, no way to do much of anything. Make yourself an Excel spread sheet with all the info above and you'll have a better Disney Vacation Club management tool. ### 5/5 — Ok *2015-03-30* After a few minutes crashes. Get D-point instead!!! *2015-01-27* Messed with it for over an hour! Trying to get it to work right. Added my contracts and up coming vacation. The initial use year is messed up, can't put in 2014 or higher. Doesn't let you make adjustments to point totals! It's bank, borrow, transfers or nothing.. Download D-POINT instead!!!!
