It has been a godsend! Just wish there was a way to calculate backwards to know if you are putting a certain amount into a liter bag u would be able to know how many ug/kg/hr that would be. Or even how to adjust the fluid rate to change the dose from say 2ug/kg/hr to 3ug/kg/hr. Thanks so much. Susan CVT ### 4/5 — enteral feeding page *2011-11-15* the enteral feeding page is no longer working since I put it on the new iphone - doesnt give the list of diets or illness factors :( ### 4/5 — Great app but *2011-08-22* The app is great for any DVM or vet tech but I am worried that it can fall in the wrong hands. I think it should be for clinical use only and that it should not be sold to those outside of the medical field. The reason being is anyone can use it to figure out a lethal dose of a common house hold product to poison a neighbor barking dog. Just for one example. But with the new iPhone iOS 11 update, it’s no longer functioning. 5 star when working ### 3/5 — Feline Surgical Fluid Rate *2021-12-08* It is my understanding that cats should have a lower fluid rate than dogs for surgery. I believe it’s 3 ml/kg/hr. I’m concerned that if this is true, the app is overdosing cats and possibly putting these patients at risk. Thank you. ### 3/5 — Need update for iOS 11. *2017-10-20* Have always liked this app, but recently when I attempted to use it for a blood transfusion, which is the most common aspect of why I use it, it wouldn’t open, stating, “The maker of the app needs to update it to make it compatible with the recent iOS 11.” So, until there is an update, I literally am unable to use an app I actually paid for. 😢 ### 3/5 — DVM Calc *2015-01-24* Good app, but would like a couple of improvements. Presently calculators are not consistent in weight unit entries from one tool to the next. Also there is no "reset" feature in the calculators. Need to make available a choice between kilograms or pounds on each tool or at least keep the units consistent from one tool to the next, and need to add a "reset" button to each calculator. In spite of these drawbacks I will use this app a lot in the ER. ### 4/5 — So far so good *2013-11-12* Heard nothing but great things about this app and finally took the plunge! Very glad to finally have an app of this quality specifically for veterinarians. ### 5/5 — Essential veterinary clinical aid *2011-06-10* This app has a ton of great components. I've been using it daily for several weeks now - it would be worth the price for the CRI calculator alone. John and his team implemented CRIs just right. There are a lot of CRI formulae out there, but the ones you find in textbooks are often too limiting as you're restricted to, for example, making an infusion into a whole bag of crystalloids meant to be delivered at maintenance. The calculator in this app lets you work out the CRIs in any, completely custom way you'd like. This, in my opinion, is absolutely essential in the critical patient which may be on several different infusions. Add in the toxicity section, nutrition, conversions, potassium calculator, and it adds up to a winner.
