### 2/5 — Bug - Keyboard size grows and consumes the display

*2024-08-09*

Toggling between this keyboard and another causes the size of this keyboard to increase each time it is selected. The keyboard eventually fills the entire screen. There seems no way to reset this other than to reboot the device.

### 3/5 — gets the job done

*2023-10-28*

I love using dyvorak over qwerty and when my fav app dyvorak for all got removed, i found this one. it gets the job done but it glitches and will often stretch to almost the whole screen so i cant see what im typing as i do it. needs work but like the previous review said, has potential

### 3/5 — Does not support BT/external keyboard

*2018-12-02, version 1.2*

On a good note, it is a dvorak keyboard, unfortunately I have two issues with it: it does not support external keyboards, my ipad case has a built in bluetooth keyboard and when I switch to this keyboard layout it still types as a qwerty keyboard. The other issue is that it is not a full keyboard, it is missing the ’ , . and ; keys which should be where the q w e and z keys (respectively) are on a qwerty keyboard. Because of this, the relative positions of the rows are out of place. Instead of P being between E and U, it is between O and E; likewise Q is below A instead of being between O and E.

### 3/5 — Needs iOS 11 update

*2017-12-20, version 1.2*

Works, but needs iOS 11 update

### 3/5 — Needs more work

*2017-06-27, version 1.2*

Does not work with predictive text or other apple keyboard features. does not seem to work with password fields.

### 3/5 — Pretty good, but please update.

*2017-04-09*

this is a very decent Dvorak keyboard, but I need auto capitalization and settings to control things like whether or not the key caps are capitalized or not.

### 2/5 — fortunately only 99¢

*2016-12-11*

Has not been updated in two years, so no lower case. Also no caps lock. Also no "hold for character options." I had to switch to QWERTY to type this review for both caps lock and cents character. I laughed, I cried. I kissed ninety-nine cents goodbye.

### 3/5 — Next best thing to hardware Dvorak keyboard.

*2016-11-14, version 1.2*

Good keyboard, but needs to incorporate Mike for Siri, then it would be 5 stars.

### 3/5 — Incomplete

*2016-02-15, version 1.2*

This does not have the normal functions of a keyboard like double tapping shift for caps, automatically returning to the letters keyboard after using punctuation and the holding delete te continueusly delete letters.

### 3/5 — OK

*2016-01-13*

The layout looks and feels native, but there is some strange behavior like deleting characters when double-spacing. (Noticed in Drafts app)

### 3/5 — basic Dvorak layout

*2015-10-22*

To be really useful, this keyboard needs all the functionality of other keyboards, e.g., n-dash and m-dash when hyphen is depressed; vowels with diacritic marks or other languages ü åō é and smart commas, apostrophes, and quotation marks. We need a keyboard that we can use 99% of the time in every app. Add those things, and this will be a superlative keyboard!

ALL the iPhone keyboards need a forward delete key.

### 4/5 — Works in any app, but pyfgcrl are unaligned with the rest

*2015-10-17, version 1.2*

Worth the purchase, it works in any app. Would like the developers to align pyfgcrl like its suppose to be; because its not aligned, i type slower because of it. Would also appreciate if the letters look lowercase and turn uppercase when shift is pressed.

### 3/5 — It needs update

*2015-10-15*

I love your stuffs you make, also A Dvorak keyboard!

I just want you to update this app for IOS 9 and so on.

Like Distinguishable upper and lower case,

Pop up whenever I touch keys

Faster loading to bring up the keyboard

Auto correction

Key sounds same as Iphone keyboard

Function that comes back to letter keyboard (After using special letters and number, pressing space bar leads you back to letter keyboard)

### 4/5 — This keyboard layout needs a microphone

*2015-10-03*

I love divorce shock. I love your divorce shock app. However, I need to have a microphone. I always use the microphone first, if possible. Then I type with my fingers, as a fallback, if necessary, second. Please update your divorce shock keyboard layout app such that it contains the microphone. Thank you.

### 3/5 — Nice keyboard, but.....

*2015-09-24*

It definately needs auto-correct (at least, I do), also if it could switch back to the letter board after hitting a space after a comma. Lastly, if I tap and hold the cursor to drag it to a correction I need to make, it automatically flips to uppercase for that letter. Other than those unexpected behaviors, I like it and want to get used to it.

### 4/5 — Good app

*2015-08-04, version 1.2*

Finally, a native Dvorak keyboard for iOS! It works well and feels natural. A few kinks in auto capitalisation and punctuation, but it generally works well.

### 3/5 — Needs to work with auto correct

*2015-07-16, version 1.2*

I love thin keyboard, but it needs to work with auto correct

### 2/5 — Too slow

*2015-06-22*

If you're a fast typer like me, this is basically unusable. Had to go back to Apple's default keyboard (QWERTY). Pity, because this has the best layout of all Dvorak keyboards in the store.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — IPhone does not recognize the keyboard

*2022-01-25, version 1.2*

I followed the instructions but I cannot install. Since it was only $0.99 I am not too upset.

### 1/5 — deceptive, refund expected

*2019-07-20, version 1.2*

does not support external keyboards, and this is not mentioned before purchase. So few people ten finger type on a digital keyboard that the only possible expectation is that anyone who buys it would be expecting this support.

Even if I were depending only on the screen keyboard now, it boggles the mind that the hardware support is neither offered nor warned against, given Apple’s upcoming OS changes. incredibly irritating.

### 1/5 — Not thought out

*2017-09-02*

You loose spell check along. You cant hold back space to erace long strings of text. Worth a dollar to try with no reviews but let me be the test case! Dont pay for it

### 1/5 — Dont spend the maney

*2016-08-13*

Im typing on thin keyboard now. It doesnt have autocorrect or suggest ponsible words. Capitalization is all wonky, see what i mean. The only reason im legible is because wy typing has slowed to a crawl.

The developer thinks thin app is finishod. They howent touceh it in two years as of writing

### 1/5 — DO NOT GET!

*2016-06-01, version 1.2*

This app is NOT FLESHED OUT WELL ENOUGH. There is also no apparent effort on keeping thin app updated, and if you make the mistake of getting this, just letting you know that there is no refund. STAY AWAY.

### 1/5 — Bummer

*2014-12-18, version 1.2*

After looking for an app like this I was thrilled to find it! When I discovered I could buy it and download it but NOT switch to it I was really bummed.

### 1/5 — Misaligned top row

*2014-10-11, version 1.1*

Unfortunately the layout doesn’t align to the layouts provided by either Windows or OSX - the top row is shifted one place further to the left making it useless for touch typing if you’re used to using a desktop (e.g. right ring finger hits ‘L’ rather than ‘R’)

### 1/5 — Not There Yet

*2014-10-01, version 1.0.1*

As others have pointed out you lose all text services when using this layout. Interestingly I cannot write this review using this layout, it is not available. Hopefully they will continue development on this layout.

### 1/5 — Rushed out

*2014-09-30, version 1.0.1*

All in all, an unfinished keyboard/app that shows all the signs of being rushed out.

Some of the letter icons aren't centred on the keys.
Double-tap space-bar for full-stop/period doesn't work.
Doesn't auto-capitalise the first letter of a new sentence.
The 'shift' button is actually a 'caps-lock' button.
Tapping 'space' after using a punctuation mark doesn't return you to the letter-input keyboard.

Dvorak is about speed and accuracy. This app just slows you down.

### 1/5 — Non functional

*2014-09-27, version 1.0.1*

Crashes keyboard every time, even in iOS 8.0.2. Please make usable. Address other people's concerns. Capitalization, UI response, autocorrect.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Awesome Keyboard

*2024-11-02, version 1.2*

Sure it takes time to learn the layout. Once you know it’s an awesome experience. It may go to keyboard on my computer so I’m glad there is an app for it on iOS.

### 5/5 — The one I’ve been waiting for

*2020-08-03*

It’s the little things in life that drive you nuts. Take for example the standard iPhone keyboard space bar; it’s small and the period and @ keys are jammed right next door. The results lead me to constant typing errors. This app fixed the problem with a nice long space bar. The app has a nice clean feel to it. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Fabulous!

*2015-08-08*

Thank you for the last review this really is a great work!

### 5/5 — Good start!

*2014-12-06*

I'm really happy this is here, but it needs a little more work. It actually works really great, but it's a little slow opening up and I actually couldn't get it to work for writing this review :/ but it's really close to awesome!!!

### 5/5 — The shift and backspace are in the perfect position!

*2014-11-02*

Design reminds me of a dvorak concept keyboard from when the iphone first came out. This works really well because of the layout of the keys on a dvorak board. The top row is the only one that would have space.
I have a wish list for this: sound, auto correct, returning to letters after a space, a few minor bug fixes, but the design and execution is enough for a five star review. Especially when its 99 cents. Dont listen to the haters, this is worth it.

### 5/5 — Thank you

*2014-10-28, version 1.2*

Finally someone made a decent replacement for Qwerty. Thanks!!!

### 4/5 — Pretty good!

*2022-06-26*

I’d say this keyboard works pretty great. My only qualms with it are a couple small glitches. Sometimes you open a text message and the letters are floating. Other times you cant see the last things said in a convo or what you are typing.

Yet for $1 this app gives you a mostly functional dvorak keyboard!! Thanks for making this!! Not sure why apple didnt include it!!

### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2020-11-21, version 1.2*

It’s perfect except all the keys are in uppercase and it doesn’t do the thing where a bubble with the key appears above the key when you press it.

### 4/5 — Favourate dvorak keyboard app

*2018-04-26, version 1.2*

The keys arent aligned like they are on a computer keyboard but i think this is better once you get used to it because they keys span across the entire screen so they are bigger
works in any app. Not laggy or anything.

### 4/5 — Good enough

*2016-04-30*

Minus star for not having dictation button. I have to keep original keyboard around for this.
