DVR On Road is developed by Beijing Peksunny Automitive Technology Company Limited, to act as UI of Peksunny DVR IV, the dash camera product with smart phone connecting to Wi-Fi hotspot built in the dash camera. The main funtions of this APP include: Wi-Fi connection, real-time viewing, replay, album management, sharing to social media and settings of dash camera. There is pin code protection for Wi-Fi connection to the dash camera to ensure security of data. Paid £500 for this from Volvo dealer - had it removed after a few weeks. Save yourself the trouble and expenses and buy a £50 one from Halfords! ### 1/5 — Cheap rubbish *2025-11-08, version 1.0.16* I paid £500 for this Volvo approved app and it’s not worth £50. The instructions are translated into English from Chinese and are hopeless. The SIM slot is so badly positioned that it’s unusable. And trying to download footage is a lottery,and the app crashes when trying to do so. ### 1/5 — Very basic and poor UI *2025-09-16, version 1.0.16* This is hard work to use, it’s not all intuitive or clear how to use basic operations. Lots of trial and error to get it to work. The video/pictures are good quality, but it’s just difficult to use/navigate. I am quite literate when it comes to software and this is not great. Important to know that the app will not operate (to my knowledge) if your vpn is on. Pairing up with the dashcam was simple and worked first time. There’s no bells and whistles with the app but it handles the basics of viewing and downloading camera footage well enough for me. ### 1/5 — Not working *2025-05-29, version 1.0.16* Paid to install it at Volvo dealership and is not showing any recordings in this app. Useless ### 1/5 — Only records when it feels like it *2025-04-30, version 1.0.16* Not amused after paying so much money for it to be installed at Volvo recommendation. Front and rear. Has been back to garage at least 4 times and still not working properly. Very hard to navigate, zero online support.
