### 5/5 — Perfectly simple

*2026-10-20*

Finally a book tracker for those of us who just want to get back to the pages while being able to log what we read. Unlike other apps, it doesn’t feel like this app is trying to monetize my reading log. Just a straight forward app where every interaction is pleasurable.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! I'm so glad to hear the app is working for you and feels simple and straightforward. Reviews like this help the app grow, so it means a lot that you took the time to leave one. Thanks again!

### 5/5 — so nice to have an book tracker that isn’t homework

*2026-10-18*

i’ve long complained about other book tracking apps. goodreads, storygraph, etc have bulky, awkward UIs that just make the whole experience feel like homework. plus i don’t regularly remember to add books i’ve read, so when i do get around to tracking them i often don’t have dates i read them or want to choose a rating. but then i feel like im failing at the app, which is so dumb when the app is supposed to be working for me. makes me nuts.

atlas saves me from all of this. i just want to keep track of what i’ve read and what i want to read, i want it to be an easy experience, and i want it to be pretty. it’s like they downloaded my wishlist and built it. so so happy.

**Developer response:** Thank you Lacey for taking the time to leave a review! I'm so happy to hear the app is working for you and doesn't feel like homework. Reviews like this are how other readers find it, so it means a lot that you took the time. You've made my week!

### 5/5 — Awesome app!

*2026-09-19*

I’ll be one of those people…. This is my first review for an app. This app is absolutely amazing. Love the UI, love the privacy, love that there are no metrics, people aren’t trying to sell you stuff or steal your info so other people can sell you stuff. I can enjoy reading at my own pace and see where I’ve been focused over time. Other apps I’ve tried got the privacy right and the lack of social broadcasting right, (My reading is personal and I don’t often like to share), but had reading metrics that honestly made me realize how slowly I read and take away any enjoyment from it. This app is fantastic though in the very early stages it seems. I will gladly support this app as it adds more features and I am so happy I took a chance on it! Thanks to the developer! I wish there were more out there concerned and building for humans. Thank you!!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for this! You've made my week… probably my entire month. Hearing that the privacy, the lack of metrics, and reading at your own pace resonate with you is wonderful. That’s exactly why I built this app. There's plenty more on the way, and if you ever have ideas or feedback, I'd love to hear them at atlas.app@icloud.com. I'm so happy you gave it a try!

### 5/5 — A friendly, relaxing app

*2026-05-08*

Atlas is thoughtfully designed and simple to use. It’s a relaxing space for me to keep track of my books and reading plans. I enjoy not feeling the pressure to open it daily to manage lists and streaks and pages. It’s a friendly place to visit when I want to, and the greetings are a delight.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much! This genuinely made my entire day. Coming up with the greetings was probably the most fun I had during development, so I'm really glad they landed with you. Happy reading!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5 — 2026-10-29

Plot twist: Atlas has a new name. This update also lets you edit the cover and details of any book in your library, includes new greetings, plus smoother animations and a handful of other improvements.

A New Name
Atlas is now Dwellum. Atlas began as a working title that stuck around a little too long. Dwellum, from dwell and vellum, gives the app a completely unique name that carries a deeper meaning. Learn more by tapping the ‘Why Dwellum?’ button in the app.

Edit ANY Book
A housewarming gift to go with the new name: a planned paid feature is now free for everyone. Edit the details of ANY book in your library, even those that came from Apple Books. Change the cover, title, publication date, description, or genres so every book looks and reads the way you want. Tap the ellipsis menu on any book and choose Edit Book Details, which now also holds Refresh Book Details.

New Greetings
- Dwellum has been feeling rather chatty after the name change, so you might come across some new greetings.
- Have a greeting idea of your own? You can now suggest one from the Get in Touch page. If it makes the cut, it might show up in a future update.

Animation Refinements
- The button animation when choosing a list is much smoother on iOS 27. This applies to the Add button in search results and the Add to Library, Favorite, and Owned buttons on a book's detail page.
- Batch editing now hides the tab bar to give you more room for selecting books, and entering or exiting batch edit mode animates much more smoothly.

Various Improvements
- Got an advance copy? Unreleased books marked as Read or Set Aside are now hidden from your Coming Soon list.
- Adding a book to your library from the book's page now gets the proper toast with its according list link.
- The "A Read with Jenna Pick" promotional tag no longer shows up at the end of book titles.
- Books can now be imported from Book Tracker's CSV file via the CSV import flow.
- The list of unmatched books after an import now has better spacing and line height, so longer titles are easier to read.
- The Import Results screen now has a 'copy the list' button, so you can quickly copy every unmatched book in one tap.

Several of these changes came straight from feedback you sent in. Thank you! If you have ideas or run into anything, don't hesitate to reach out to hello@dwellum.app

A Small Favor
If you're enjoying Dwellum, a quick App Store review makes a big difference and helps shape the future of the app.

### 1.4 — 2026-10-08

Notes List
Every book leaves something behind, a line you held onto, a feeling you couldn't shake, a thought you wanted to keep. Until now, those notes were tucked away on each book's page. Now all your notes live in one place, in the Notes List. After you add a note to any book, a new Notes card appears on the Home View. Inside, you can search, sort and review the notes you've taken across your entire library.

Various Improvements
- Toasts are a little more helpful now. After moving a book, tap the link in the toast to follow it to its new list.
- So, how was it? Marking a book as Read from within a book now brings up the note field so you can easily jot down any thoughts while they're fresh, or simply ignore it. Notes also have a little more personality now with newly added placeholder text.
- Followed author monograms have been adjusted to have more color on iOS 27.
- The search tab's magnifying glass now has a plus, so it's clearer that this is where you find new books to add.
- The app icon has been rebuilt to look slightly nicer on iOS 27.
- Book titles no longer include promotional tags like "A GMA Book Club Pick." Using Refresh Book Details now works to clean up titles for books already in your library.
- Various style improvements for iOS 27.

A Small Favor
If you're enjoying Atlas, a quick App Store review makes a big difference and helps shape the future of the app.

- Fixed a bug where the book descriptions text would appear blurry when opening a book on iOS 27
- Several text stylings updated to maintain proper hierarchy and legibility on iOS 27
- All toolbars within the app now use the softer edged style on iOS 27
- Added subtle haptics when tapping the main navigation tabs

A Small Favor
If you're enjoying Atlas, a quick App Store review makes a big difference and helps shape the future of the app.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-20

Follow the writers you love.
Now you can create a list of your favorite authors in one place, sorted however you like. Once you follow your first author, a new card appears on the home screen and links to the new Following page. This new page is a great way to quickly catch up on your favorite authors’ catalogs and see if any of them have anything new coming soon.

A Couple Improvements
- Author pages and the search results view now filter out non-english books to hide book duplicates. A filter has been added to these pages to filter by English or All Languages.
- Fixed an issue where you could not change the list of a re-reading book within the library view.

A Small Favor
If you’re enjoying Atlas, a quick App Store review makes a big difference and helps shape the future of the app.

Feel free to reach out with feedback anytime at atlas.app@icloud.com

Wend your way,

### 1.2.1 — 2026-06-26

Reading Now Widgets
A good book stays with you even when you're not reading it. Now your current read can sit right on your Home Screen, just the cover, the way it's meant to be seen. A quiet reminder of the world you're in the middle of, and an easy way back whenever you need it. Atlas now has a small and medium sized widget, allowing you to see up to four books from your Reading list.

A Few Other Improvements
- Refresh Book Details. Now you can pull the most up-to-date covers and descriptions for any book in your library straight from Apple Books via the ellipsis menu.
- Re-reading's icon has been updated to be the repeat icon.
- Book rows in list view have updated swipe gestures, so the old right swipe gesture no longer conflicts with swiping back to the previous page.
- Importing now better handles titles where the only difference is punctuation, so books like "Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow" match even when your CSV leaves the commas out.
- For those who have already taken the jump to iOS 27, the toolbar edge effect has been set to soft across the app to keep the same immersive toolbar experience from iOS 26.

Atlas 1.2.1
- Fixed a hiccup where a library could look empty for a moment if you added the widget to your Home Screen before opening Atlas.
- Tidied up spacing and padding for the new widgets.
- Gave the Reading icon its proper color and gradient on the new widgets.

As always, if you have feedback, want to say hi, or found a bug, don't hesitate to reach out! I'd love to hear from you at atlas.app@icloud.com

Ps. If Atlas has made a nice home for your books and you think it's pretty neat, a rating or review can really help other readers find it on the App Store (and it supports a solo dev!)

Happy reading,
- Austin
